S340 FSX | P3D

Hi Before I buy the Saab340 I want to know if this option exists. Can i load the aircraft with engines running? Sometimes I don't have the time to go all the way from cold and dark. Eytan

First off I have 18 airplanes with the GTN 750 installed. So I know how to install the GTN 750. I'm hoping someone here can address the problem I am having. I have put in a ticket with Carenado, but they just tell me how to install it. Here is my problem. I run the program as administrator. When the program opens and begins installation the green installation progress tape flashes in an instant. Unlike a normal installation where the green tape takes 4-5 seconds or so. Just a flash. When I open the plane in FSX-SE the GTN 750 is not installed. Never seen anything like it. The F1 GTN config tool shows that it is installed in the airplane but it is not showing on…

Looking for some forum members opinions on the new Carenado Saab 340. If you have it, I would appreciate hearing your opinion about the plane. I've always loved this commuter since I've flown on it several times. Also want to know if it uses the default GPS from Microsoft. Stan

Having just bought the Saab340 to run on fsx Steam I am struggling to make any headway. It seems I'm missing something or are the instructions really as sketchy as this. Other than the Normal Checklist is there anything else? Referring to the Normal Checklist - Batteries ON and External Power ON my overhead panel remains dead no lights at all - is this normal at this point? So maybe I need external power - Apparently shift 3 should bring up external elements (I found this out by looking on the web - not mentioned in my install.) The Carenado SF34 Aircraft folder does not contain the F1GTN750S34.exe file. There are only 2 folders in the file. SA100Xv1.2.exe and the Installation.rtf. Contacted Carenado a while back, they weren't much help, so I just gave up. Any idea why these are the only 2 files in the folder?

Bought Saab 340 and having major prob's with it 1. FMC doesn't work ? turns on ok displays screen shows data/ but delay's when hitting buttons to enter anything / most time just will not work period 2. Opening plane in FSX - ok / when I load up plane ( turn lights on /turn FMC on / turn on generators/ .... Frame rate go to zero ...major hesitation / just will not fly 3. Hello, I have the impression that the landing rate of the S340 in P3D V4.4 is wrong. My landings seem to be softer than what the external tools are reporting (reporting based on P3D's numbers). Is it just my impression or is there sthg wrong with S340/P3D ? Thanks Oliver

How do I uninstall the Carenado S340 from my computer? I am having a problem with my throttle controls and I think by reinstalling Carenado S340 will fix it. Thanks James

I've honestly tried myself, but I've got no clue what I'm doing when making my own reflection profile. Does anyone have reflection profiles for the Saab 340 and Fokker 50 and willing to share with me? Thanks in advance! Frank

The Carenado Saab is the first P3D aircraft I've used that had a callout feature. I used to use an add-on in FSX that I could attach a callout to any aircraft, and wonder if anyone has figured out a way that I can export the Saab's callout feature so that I can use it in other aircraft?

I just bought the Carenado Saab S340 and I was looking through the manuals and I noticed the S340 Normal Procedures PDF was blacked out. How do I get another copy so that I can go through the manual?

I was under the impression that the 340 could takeoff at 0 flaps; references I have indicate that as well. When trying this in the Carenado, I get a config warning. Is there an override or switch somewhere to "tell" the system you are departing flaps 0? Thanks.

Does Vnav work correctly in the S340? I may be doing something wrong, but every time I try, it just puts me in a -500fpm decent no matter the distance from my way point. ?

Has anybody been able to successfully, consistently get aircraft pressurization to work on the Saab 340? Similar to the PC-12 that I have, I'm absolutely struggling to prevent red warning cabin altitude messages above ~FL200. Auto or manual mode, and dialing altitudes in, the system just doesn't seem to do anything. Thanks.

I can find TTG OK, but not distance to go (DTG)to next waypoint. I am using the basic FMS. In the FMS you can get a count-up in distance but I cannot find what that relates to. Can anyone assist. Or maybe it is time to invest in one of the GTNs

I am testing the SAAB 340 and checking with the AOM what has been simulated or not. So far I have found the following "issues" related to the power plant: - Fuel Used test switch not working - L IGN/ R IGN lights don't switch on neither during the engine overspeed test nor when the IGN switch is in CONT position - No FI STOP lights - FI STOP emergency override button doesn't work - ITT digital indicator doesn't show 888 in the LAMP TEST - P3 SWITCH test doesn't work - AUTO IGNITION test doesn't work - CTOT/APR systems don't work Any comment? Has anyone been successful in making any of the above list work? Juan.

Just returned to this model. Is it possible to use an external planner and download to the SF340 FMS? Simbrief cannot I find. Or can I just use the P3D planner?

Just bought this bird and although Carenado planes are usually not that complicated, I miss a manual for this bird. Using the documents provided is not sufficient. I really miss a how to. Starting up from Cold and Dark, no idea. Simply follow the checklists? Any help greatly appreciated...

Hello i love the SF3 but i have a serious problem when flying into a turbulent and windy weather. The plane is going crazy autopilot disengage stall and overspeed notifications because of the severe bumping etc. Does anyone experience the same? It is normal this to happen maybe in an extreme weather but not ANYTIME i fly in rain and some kind of storm. As a weather engine i usd active sky.

It is my favorite carenado plane so far...anyone now hot to get the gtn 750 in the VC and not a pop up? Cheers, Simon

Hello, I just picked up the S340 from JustFlight. Verson 1.2. I have a problem with the cockpit texture in that it is speckled. Not sure why? The only thing I can think of is that I have TomatoShade installed?
