Just purchased CPX and installed it for P3d4. My understanding is that it edits the actual aircraft camera view settings. If this is the case, why is it that after creating one new camera view and assigning a joystick key assignment, the camera is not activated when CPX is not active, that is, loaded? I want to know whether the program needs to be "on" in order for P3d to have the new camera views. My second question is that CPX list of camera views does not have a "captain view or left seat". I know I can create one, but am curious to know why the most important camera view is omitted. thanks for a nice utility. tony

Has anyone managed to get the events TOGGLE_WATER_BALLAST_VALVE and TOGGLE_LAUNCH_BAR_SWITCH to save a position or enter an aircraft, as per the manual? I'm running WAMA 1.12 b11 in P3Dv4.3. I've set up FSUIPC to trigger those events but nothing happens, and the events aren't visible in the controls dialogue so I can't program them that way. Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to get them working? Thanks. Stuart

I recently purchased WAMA 1:12 for FSX (SP2).(Windows 10) All worked well. I lost all entries in the scenery library.( I do not believe this was caused by WAMA) . To regain the entries I reinstalled FSX. Now when I select Edit Database/ static objects and double click on a model from the dropdown list , I get a unhandled exception warning stating "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I have reinstalled WAMA, to no effect. Is there a solution to this problem please Alan E

I've sucessfully flown with a few different people using the multiplayer feature. A couple nights ago I was trying to fly with a friend of mine. As soon as he entered the session his frame rates dropped from 30fps to 3-4 fps. If I stopped broadcasting my plane they jumped right back up. We had the same problem if I was the host or he was the host. We are both on the same and latest version. Both of our frame rates are locked in the sim at 30fps and they usually stay there. As a test I we connected using a different multiplayer platform and had no drop in frames. Any ideas on what may be causing the issue are most welcome. Thanks in advance.

windows 7 64 bit running fsx..installed WAMA and when I save position i get the following error message... "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. if you click quit, the application will close immediately. object reference not set to an instance of an object" WAMA never used to do this but ive since had to reinstall EVERYTHING and now i cant get it to work. ive updated c++ and .net framework..not sure what to do to fix this..please help.

Hi Oliver, I don't know if you're familiar with an oldish program for FS9 & FSX called HeliTraffic? It enabled the user to define custom helipads and create waypoints for AI helicopter traffic. The AI helis would be under direct control of the program so behaved in the correct manner, with vertical take off & landing etc. Unfortunately, the program doesn't work under P3d and is very unlikely to ever be updated. This strikes me as the sort of program that would be in your area of expertise, so if you're in need of a new project it could be something to consider! 😉 Thanks for reading.

Hello @ll, I received a couple of questions concerning my recent posts about how you fly as a passenger using AiTrackerX. There are probably several ways, but here is how I do it: -> Turn off crash detection in the sim! <- I select an aircraft that I want to fly as a passenger in as my own vehicle in the simulator. For example a Carenado model, because they have nicely modeled passenger cabins. When the sim finishes loading and I am sitting in my cockpit, I use the flight planner in the sim to create a route that I want to fly on, and save it to a file. Apart from a couple of bugfixes, this update is about P3D V4.2 and the option to have AI helicopters as supporting fire fighters now (including the attachment of Bambi buckets to the AI helos). Hello @ll, the latest version 1.22 of CameraPosition X has developed an unfortunate bug: Creating or editing GLOBAL cameras will disable the built-in AI traffic camera ([CameraDefinition.010] in cameras.cfg). Aircraft cameras are not affected. A hotfix is on its way. Work around: If this happens to you, you will notice that you can no longer switch to an AI aircraft with the in-sim view menu. The camera will always look back at your own aircraft. There are two ways to remedy this: 1. Hi Oliver I am experiencing simconnect error wma on shut down of P3D V4.3. This started happening after upgrading. Also, if I edit something in database, I get an unhandled exception when I hit "Close" Would this be due to the new 4.3. I believe LM altered the handling of simconnect ? Also after updating just the P3D client, my database in WMA was completely empty. Any help woud be appreciated. Julian

Hello @ll,WAMA has been updated to version 1.12.The key elements of this release are: You can now add comments to logbook entries (departure, arrival and any screenshot that you take) A flight in the logbook can be resumed now (for example if your simulator crashed on you) The data that is being logged has been expanded. Landing data now includes weather conditions and various other variables (if available from the aircraft model). Several bugfixes and adjustments. Most notably, the Time Machine now works correctly with the QW 787. The app has been deployed to SimMarket, the other shops usually follow in a few days. Best regards

This version fixes the issue with joystick controllers that continuously send button press signals interfering with the button-camera assignment logic. CPX now has full support for all the new camera parameters that have been introduced in P3D V4. The app has been sent to the shops and should be deployed in the next few days at the latest. Hello everyone, Was really keen to use AITrackerX so I can fly a Squadron of A2A Spitfires. Two issues I have found. 1 - AI Traffic A2A Spitfire tips over when Taxiing when controlled by AITrafficX Whilst I can generate the AI to follow my plane when I am flying. If I generate them to start off on the ground with a flight plan, as soon as tyhe taxi procedure starts, the A2A Spitfire tips over onto it's propellar A2A spitfire tips over onto it's propellar and starts to smoke and catch fire. Would anyone know how to sync the Where are my Aircraft databases throughout my different sims so that I can see the planes that I saved the position for in P3D in FSX or vise versa? Thanks

Hello Oliver, If I save my p3d flight (or I have a save-file after crash...), Is it possible somehow to continue the flight having only 1 log-entry from departure AP to arrival AP? If I have to interrupt my current flight, is there a possibility to resume the flight-logging ? greetings Gerolamo

This version fixes a couple of bugs on the hotkey assignment dialog It is now possible to transfer camera hotkeys to other aircraft The app will now recognize POV sticks as hotkeys Keyboard-Hotkeys that are overruled by the simulator can be routed through the sim so they work no matter what. Looking for MP players. Best thing to do is send me a friend request on Steam, user name Kimchoc, same as here. My friends are all experienced, older pilots, going back to FS98. Retired firefighters. VA pilots for many years. We've built our own simpits, extensive. looking for the same level of experienced MP pilots. Outstanding software. I'd rate this as one of the top 5 I've ever purchased. Kudos to the devs. Maybe you can develop an MP lobby. Perhaps a stand alone program that lists anyone with a FFX MP server running? I'd pay extra for that. Thanks, Gary

Hello, Trying this app right now and getting CTD each time I Enter/Leave airplane. No matter which airplane and no matter what default airplane is selected in database (both Avatar and Camera pod tested). In Windows events log there is an entry about FSUIPC5.dll crashed for each CTD.

When you keep the app running, you can use joystick or keyboard buttons to access camera positions directly cycle through a choice of camera positions that you select The app has been expanded to automatically connect to the sim and minimize, so you can start it with the sim too. Just bought this. The PMDGs and FSLabs A320 do not seem to work. Cockpit making awful sounds in a320 when entering plane and no landing gear displayed on their models when leaving (a320 and 747). Entering the PMDG 737 makes it go absolutely hawire with shaking. It's as if an earthquake was shaking the plane. You can enter it once, but if you leave and enter it again it goes bad. Shame. How do I get it to work?. Disappointing. .

Hello Lorby_SI, I have a sim cockpit in which I use five monitors to create the view out of the cockpit. I use one window per monitor, one main FSX-window and four undocked windows next to it, because the monitors are physical not all at the same height, . Untill now, I can only save this window configuration for a particular airplane by saving a flight with the aircraft in it. As soon as I load a different plane, all five windows show the same default (virtual) cockpit view.
