PrecipitFX Support

The wing tip vortices on the PMDG 747 II do not line up.

To me, rain is mostly invisible until it hits something like the ground or the windshield. It would be nice to have an "Invisible Rain" feature where you see the water on the ground and other effects but the rain is not visible or barely visible.

Hi, When I check the update window inside VFX central, I see a new update from décembre 29th, A fix for presipitfx. But, the statetement of the update is "new" and not "installed" Is it normal? Is the update installed though? Thanks for help

I am having a hard time getting the replacement snow to show in P3D 3.4. The VFX Central installer seems to do something in that there are backup snow files created in the P3D texture folder, although the active files and backup files all show the same date of April 25, 2016. The whole setup seems confusing to me. There is a field to activate a serial number in VFX Central, but my initial purchase email says there is no serial number needed nor provided. I recently upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7, does this invalidate the product? Hi, In the manual I read the following: For VFX Central: It launches in parallel to your simulator to check for any changes made to the configuration, fixing potential issues on the fly so that everything is working on your next takeoff. Does this mean I always need to launch VFXCentral to see the effects of PrecipitFX ? (and other packages for that matter like 737 immersion) kind regards, Dieter de Wit

Docs say two activations. Can you clarify please? If I uninstall and reinstall on same system ( with P3D this can happen often) does this count as another activation? Thanx, Vic

I have used every Google search I can think of, but I can't find anything the completely describes the issue I'm having. Every contrail or ground wash effect flickers, and that's with or without PricipitFX. For a while, even lights would flicker (but that magically fixed itself). I'm running P3D v3.4.9 with AS2016, ASCA, and FTX Global on a computer that's beefier than it needs to be for P3D. I'm having issues with launching VFXCentral on my machine. I never had this problem before. I am on Windows 10 Pro. When I launch it, it opens the splash screen and immediately closes. What's wrong with this?

I love the 3D volumetric lightings in your other packages like 777 immersion, A320 Immersion, etc. But PrecipitFX doesn't have this. Could you please add this. I would love to see all the planes in the game, default and AI planes like MyTraffic 6 have the 3D volumetric lighting effect as well.

Not sure why but everytime I launch the VFX Central, I get a popup windows with this message: I found and fixed a few things, If your simulator is running, restart it to see every effects properly. I tried restarting my pc and it still shows this everytime I launch VFX central. And when I dismiss it, and try to go to Modify/Uninstall it says: You have reached the maximum number of computers allowed for your account? I never had this problem before. I don't know why I'm getting this message. I need to go in and reinstall the settings because I have installed some new planes. But I can't now. Please help.

Is this an issue with PrecipitFX? Prepar3d 3.3.5. This image is from NZQN using Orbx scenery. I'll check if it happens elsewhere but wanted to ask here if anyone else has seen this. edit: just to avoid confusion - I'm talking about the tire tracks on the taxiway. Thanx, Vic

Hi! I am having this issue. When the rain intensity varies and the rain effect changes I get a sort of a dark flash. I read this bug was solved in version 1.1. I have v 1.5.0.4 so this problem shouldn't be there. What could be wrong? I am using DX10 with steve's fixer. Thank you!

Hello, I own all FSFX packages, 737-A320-777, being precipit fx the last one. They are all installed on my P3D 2.5 Lately I experience a strange behavior of my contrails, both with my planes and AI. The contrail starts correctly on the back of the plane, then after a brief horizontal line, it suddenly angles 90 degrees down to the ground and it reaches the earth surface. What can I do? Thanks. Everything was working until I updated to the new UI and now no effects on any of my aircrafts. It shows on my icons when I start FSX-SE and the setting seems to be configured correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. Bought this primarily to improve effects on Ai aircraft. Now I have no contrails or effects on Ai aircraft. Do I need to use configuration for every Ai plane I have??
