PrecipitFX Support

Hi Kevin, I just purchased PrecipFX, and with it enabled in P3D 4.1, I get no clouds. At NZAA, it was stormy, with lightning in clear skies. I am using ASP4, with Envetex ( tried it disabled ) and ASCA. Have tried turning ff Precip features off one by one, and still no clouds, any idea what could be wrong ? Edit: Have detailed Precip turned off in P3D

In trying to install PreciptFX it seems to be downloading for P3d v3 ok but not v4. Any thoughts?

Installation with VFX Central has been done on Prepar3D v3.4 and v4 with activation code but the PrecipitFX effects only work on Prepar3D v3.4 while on Prepar3D v4 remain effects by default. I uninstalled and reinstalled PrecipitFX only on Prepar3d v4 but the effects remain the default ones.

Hi everyone, I was wondering when will FSFX release new rain texture for 3D rain ? (new feature of p3d v4) Any news about this question ? Tks Remi

To Whom it may concern, I have recently purchased PrecipitFX from your website and everything went in fine. When I was about to activate my product it says that’s its been activated? I don’t see it listed on VFX central when I open it. I believe that before purchasing it said to link up to my account and I pressed that button. I have the serial and everything, please help!

Hi! I wanted to purchase PrecipitFX and was ready to checkout. However, the "payment with credit card processed by PayPal" would not at all let me complete the purchase without creating an account with PayPal, provide to them name, street adress, phone number and agree to PayPal's terms and conditions. Apparently this is a setting applied to customers in Germany, however it is not possible to bypass this via seleting anyother country. (I had the same issue with Flightradar24's website.) I would think that a payment with a credit card, completed and confirmed with the credit card company will do the job - as it does on each and every other online store as well. …

Hello guys! So... I decided to buy the awesome Precipitfx addon for FSX! But I made a novice mistake (By the way this is my first post )... let me explain: After purchasing Precipitfx I decided to download VFX Central in my laptop at work... and now I want to install it in my personal computer at home but I can't... I'm recieving an error message when I try to install this at my PC. It reads: "You've reached the maximum number of computers allowed for your account" Is there any way that you guys could let me to install Precipitfx at my PC? Thanks for reading, guys!

I don't understand how it works I don't see an addon of precipfx in the addon menu. How do you make it work? Frank Zych

One of the new features of Prepar3D v4 is the "New 3D Rain/Snow system". Does this means that the underlying code has changed or it is just 3D textures? Is PrecipitFX planned to work on the new system or take advantage of it? Thank you!

I have been looking for a solution to this problem for weeks, and have talked to two other users that use My Traffic 6 and none of us see any Contrails for AI aircraft. The aircraft in the MT6 folder have the proper entries in each of their cfg files. Hello, I have now tried reinstalls with in admin mode, tried several settings in the DX 10 fixer and did my best but i just cant get the rain and snow textures to work... I have FSX own the DX10 Fixer my registry entries in VFX Central are correct I own FSUIPC and so on and so forth. everything how its suppose to be... 737, a320 and all other precipit fx effects work. but the rain and snow is still default... help is very much appreciated as i searched for over two weeks now and have not found a solution for it and im getting pretty ###### now. Would be nice if Keven or someone else could help me to sort this out. Best regard…

Hello guys, another strange visual FX with the AS A320. Upon ENG start, smoke exhaust comes out of the ACFT body (where the wing is attached) instead of the ENG itself. Strangely, the visual FX work well with A321... Regards, Gerald

For some reason when I switch to tower, ai, or ground view my contrails will still appear but will stop creating themselves off the engines. I have attached two photos displaying what I mean.

As far as I am aware this product is installed correctly, using the application Preferences I note it is installed correctly and appears to have the right Location for the FSX directory and FSUIPC is acknowledged as installed, yet I see not one of the features working.. no contrails, no wet weather spray on take off, etc Any clues as to what might be wrong? I have FSX Acceleration and have plenty of memory and HD space

Not sure what's going on, but all of the sudden after Chaseplane stopped working, now precipitFX stopped working too, and wont reinstall back on my computer. I saw the post on the 747 smoke issue, and I checked my Effects folder of the FS Labs A320, but I want to have just the FSFX contrails. Can someone be specific about what to enable and what to disable in the Effects folder to avoid this? I have the latest VFXCentral and reinstalled it as suggested in a post here a long, long time ago. P3D.4 Love the effects on the 737 and 777. Hope to see something soon for the PMDG 747. Hello! I use Precipit Fx since long time, it always showed nice contrails and the water effect on ground... But last flights I noticed they are all gone, I just have this ugly flat default contrails. Dont know since when this is happening. Tried to run the configurator tool for FSFX Packages and it always installed something, but no change. I dont reinstalled complete at this time, wanted to ask before doing so. Could this have something to do with Steves DX10 fixer, I think I changed something there a few weeks ago. Any hints? Thank you!

does precipfx still delete vortexes made by concorde x??? Or does it add effects etc? Is concorde X now compatible?

G'day, Purchased precipitFx yesterday via Simmarket and have yet to receive a serial. The purchase email stated one had been generated and would be linked via my Old Prop account which at the time I did not have as I had no idea you needed one to buy from a reseller. Since then I have set one up with the same email address yet there is nothing in my account age or on the Vfx app. Can you advise how to go about getting one? Thanks Darren

For some reason after installing the PrecipitFX, snow effects (jet blast) or simply rolling down the runway, take my FPS down from 30 all the way to 11-13. Any idea why? Thanks, K

There seems to be updates ....but there is no description as to what is being updated.no info anywhere.... I have had 3 updates in the last few months, but no clue or info as to what the updates are.......need info on this looked everywhere on fsfx packages site......

Installed PrecipitFX with 747 II installed on FSX, could not see any jet blast and or wheel spray on rainy runway, something different with this new bird...other PMDG aircraft works perfectly..

Hello guys, just want to know if FSFX will include or create the jet blast or heat effect behind the engines, similar to the effect that the new PMDG747 and airbus FSLabs 320 have, just wondering, I think this will be really cool, I already have chase plane, q400, 737 and 777 effects on my p3d, thanks for any answer.
