Just wondering what the advantages would be of custom XML profiles. I would imagine that if I am flying the Majestic Q400 for example, the PMDG modules will not be started so I am trying to figure out the advantages of excluding specific XML items ?

Hi, I can't find the ForceVCShadowMap setting. How can I add it to all of my profiles? Thanks for your help.

Some german users have reported the problem, that Jumpstart does not load FSX saved flights. This bug is already confirmed and will be fixed by Version 2.5 build 02. I am just waiting on another user who reported another problem which cannot be verified at the moment. Therefore I would like to wait until tomorrow to release build 02. Update 16.12.2014: Fixed with Version 2.5 build 02 >>> DOWNLOAD <<< To install: just replace the exisiting SIMstarter.exe with that file. ;O)

I am delighted with your program and now use it all the time with FSX and P3D. Regarding the latest version 2.4 build 1. Previously, when you activated the tool box for a certain profile, it would load the scenery.cfg associated with that profile. Now it doesn't, it leaves the whatever was used previous scenery.cfg for the earlier profile loaded. It only switches when you actually start the profile. Is there a setting I am missing so that when you click on the tool box for a particular profile that specific scenery set is loaded? Thanks, Lee

Today I would like to show the next improvements of Version 2.5 wich will be released soon. I created a new "Start Manager" wich will handle your "RunSets". RunSets can be assigned to one or multiple SIMstarter profiles. No more need to import 9 profiles for the same Startconfiguration. Simply create one RunSet and assign it to each profile. Hi Peter, I was looking for a way to run 2 configurations for FSX and posted the question in the FSX Forum asking for solutions. Someone recommended SimStarter so I downloaded and installed it and I have to say it's a great piece of work. Congratulations. I will certainly be using it and will make a contribution. I have one request. Each profile has the option of starting additional programs. Rather like you can in fsuipc4. I would prefer to start them using SimStart as they need tailoring depending on which aircraft I'm flying. However, some programs require FSX to be running first otherwise they can 'object'. Hi Pero, Couple of problems with v2.4 build 1... 1) Two programs won't run from the StartDefinitions window. See attached screenshots. Paths to the programs are definitely correct. The other problem is that when FSX is finally running I can hear the sounds but the desktop still shows. Only by pressing Alt+Enter can I then see FSX. Pressing Alt+Enter again does show it in windowed mode. It does this with both Maximised Window and Window. One final question. How do I get a tick box in Master Scenery? All my scenery is enabled but I can't find a way to enable that option.

Great program ! I will surely make a donation. Two questions I have : What I did not understand right : is it possible to combine scenery sets for one flight ? I am using lots of photo scenery and many airports. Especially photoscenery will always take your VAS size down when active. Eg : I want to make a flight from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. If I make a scenery set called Germany with all German photo scenery and airports in it, can I combine it with a scenery set called Netherlands , so only my German and Dutch scenery will be active ? In this way I can devide Europe in countries and only activaye the countries I am flying over to spare VAS size. …

Hi Peter, concerns 2.3 build 01 of SIMstarter. I noticed that the "TERRAIN_SHADOWS_CAST" was always set to 1, even when the cursor "Terrain shadow cast distance" is by default on zero. Unless you move the cursor "Terrain shadow cast distance" to the right, and replace it on zero. It's not really a problem when we know. But if I forget to move it, I have black squares that flash on the ground. That's how I noticed it. Regards Aimé

Gunter told me about this program via LINDA yesterday. I installed it and it is really a good addition to FSX. Everything works perfectly except the Livery Manager. Whenever I try to ue it the fol;lowing message box: "input string not in correct format" and a list of details which I cannot get in a screenshot. Hope you can tell me how to fix this Regards Neal H

If I deactivate certain liveries, does this mean that they will only be not visible in the aircraft selection before loading a flight, or will this also affect liveries when I fly on VATSIM? Is simstarter and simbackup completely compatible with P3D 2.4?? I just discovered these utilities and would like to use them and donate but want to be sure they are compatible with 2.4.

Hi PERO. Thank you first for providing such a mighty and useful tool for FSX. Since the update to the newest version I have a problem. I have two profiles for FSX, one with and one without ENB shaders (the #1 killer for the PMDG 737 NGX). The startup sequence of the profile with ENB looks like this: <copy> F:\FSX\ENB\d3d9.dll <to> F:\FSX\d3d9.dll C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\EasyToolz\easytoolz.exe <kill> F:\FSX\ASNext\ASnext.exe <kill> F:\FSX\fsx.exe <delete> F:\FSX\d3d9.dll In former versions this worked like a charm, but now I get an error that the file "d3d9.dll" can't be deleted, as it is in use by another program or process…

Über der Aufstellung der "eigenen" Szeneriebibliothek steht: Definiere Szenerie die deaktiviert werden soll Heißt das,dass alles was nicht aktiviert sein soll, ein Häkchen bekommen muß,oder EBEN kein Häkchen???
