Hi Folks, I was extremely skeptical on this product - like I know how to start my sim - but after reading all the great reviews I took the plunge - and WOW - incredibly well done piece of kit - I don't know how I lived without it... One question or suggestion - I'd really like to see the program minimized to the task bar upon launch of a session - is there a way to do that ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi, I just added a third monitor to my configuration. When I start Simstarter the program opens with its window halfway monitor 2 and halfway monitor 3. I can drag the window to one of the monitors, but the program does not remember its location for the next start. How can I force the program to open on a location that is not overlapping on another monitor? W10 / GTX960 / USB videocard for 3rd monitor.

Hi The DLL.XML manager is showing problems with my whole ORBX collection and the HUD of my PMDG 737 which I never use but the hud screen is in fact blank Im confused about this section and what I should do to rectify the errors ?

Recently, I've noticed that the aircraft starting positions listed by SIMstarter are not necessarily the same as those listed by FSX. In fact, sometimes SIMstarter places the airplane halfway inside an airplane hanger or building, making a retry using FSX's drop-down menu necessary. Can someone advise is this discrepancy in starting positions between SIMstarter and FSX normal or correctable? It would seem the AFCADs are not synchronized, or some such problem. Hi Running P3D v3 Could someone please advise: When i launch a profile I get the error message "Access to path C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3Dv3\SimObjects.cfg is denied". What am i doing wrong please? Thanks in anticipation Andrew

SIMstarter n00b here. I've found my way round profiles etc and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Wait for it.....But. But when P3D launches via Simstarter the screen is full of pop up windows. You know the ones, shift+3, 4, 5 etc. So the first job is to clear those out of the way. The second job is to re-instate my normal cockpit view from the newly acquired rear seat position i.e. waaay back! I've trawled through the many options in various configs but not discovered a way of overcoming this last little niggle. Otherwise, a jolly good little program. Any pointers would be welcome. (Nice to see some proper smilies back)

Hi, Could you put in the settings of simstarter the settings of Orbx Vector? It will be very usefull for a profile for VFR and an other for IFR/PMDG. Thanks

Hi, can Simstarter NG do this with jumpstart: Select a previously saved flight with a PMDG aircraft, which was saved with engines off and aircraft set up for turnaround Select a different location and time Start FSX / P3Dv3.4 HF2 with the formerly saved panel state? I tried the freeware version 2.7.4 and it cannot do this - it loads the flight, but always with the engines running. It does work, though, when I load that previously saved flight from the start screen - then the engines remain off. Please don't explain that I can load a panel state from inside the PMDG aircraft - I know that. I explicitly want to know if I can use Simstarter for the above. And in t…

I want to go ahead and buy this but I noticed that its for sale on two different sites Aerosoft and Just flight. Are there any differences from purchasing from them or do they both get updates etc at same time. I only ask because I've been burned before,buying stuff from one site but then being the last to get any updates sometimes weeks. Thanks

Hello, I am currently interested in Simstarter NG. I have read through comments/ reviews of the program and so far, I like it. There is a function that I want to ask more detail. Run at SimStart: whenever launching FSX:SE, ,if I add any program in this page with this function, it will start automatically with FSX:SE? What about when I close FSX:SE, do they close along with fsx or I have to manually close the programs? Run at SimEnd: add programs that will start when I close FSX? And if I use this program to start simulator with PMDG aircrafts and addon airports . Is it the same as manually starting the sim --> free flight, select aircraft and airport ? W…

Yes when I locate and run simstarter i get to the ramp location with full throttle set and no control over it , takes off into the woods.. disconnected my controllers...and still the same no effect ? Am I missing a setting here, first time user ??

Hi I have different joysticks and throttle quads that I use for different aircraft. Will sim starter profile allow me to keep all controls plugged in and just load the one I chose for a particular profile without having to go into p3d options/settings/controls and deleting all the inputs of the controls I'm not using every time I want to change aircraft? Hi- Reinstalling SS and they're no drop down menu available. I went to uninstall and reinstall and there's no entry in the control panel.... Win10/P3D 3.3.5 Any ideas? Thanks, Mark

So I recently got Simstarter and configured it to load up AS16 and Aivlasoft EFB when it runs P3D. Which it does. But I checked the box saying close applications when the sim ends and they do not close. The programs remain open. Is there something else I need to do which I am missing?

I'm trying the freeware version to see if I like it, but I'm stuck. I created three profiles and three different scenery selections, but when I choose the profile, the scenery that I selected to correspond to the profile, doesn't show up in FSX library. What am I missing? Thanks. Jose

Hallo Mr. Rosendahl, I have a "small" issue with the export functionality of the freeware version simstarter v 2.7.5. I´m missing airports which are installed as addon airports but not detected via simstarter and exported to the google earth KML file. In my special case it is the airport of Nizza (LFMN) and Moskau (UUEE Sheremetyevo). I added this airports to my system in the addon scenery folder but after the export in simstarter no chance to get is vissible in google earth. Perhaps important to know for you is, that I have made some restriction GoogleEarth export settings. But this settings should not block this airports because all other installed airports in the s…

I have used the donationware SimStarter for over a year and have now purchased NG. How do I install NG? Do I need to uninstall the original or can I install over the top of the existing one? I don't want to have to recreate my profiles again. Thanks.

Where is the client file that goes on my client machine I don't see anything named Simclient or such to use?
