I love hearing what everybody has planned for the 777 where routes are concerned, are you taking her polar? Across Europe? Across Canada? Be great to hear! I'm definitely jumping right into a Polar Flight!

An article by George Larson in the Air & Space Magazine. Basically, winglets reduce wingtip vortices, the swirling airflows formed by the difference between the pressure on the upper surface of an airplane's wing and that on the lower surface. High pressure on the lower surface creates a natural airflow that makes its way to the wingtip and curls upward around it. When flow around the wingtips streams out behind the airplane, a vortex is formed. These twisters represent an energy loss and are strong enough to flip airplanes that fly into them. Winglets produce a good performance boost for jets by reducing drag, and that reduction could translate into slightly …

Now this might sound some what odd but all Boeing & 777 fans know how dirty the 777 Wing can get! I was wondering, could you some how give us the choice of a Clean Wing and a not so clean wing? Just makes a difference when going to the passenger view I'm sure my United 777's wing will be pretty dirty on UAL934 tomorrow :LMAO:

Just curious... Which ones do you choose? Why?I personally really want the -300ER so I can learn about transpacific/atlantic flights, and how the whole system works, etc. etc., and I want the Freighter so I can finally be doing some cargo flights.

HI guys I remember from the Munich conference that it was mentioned that the 777 shares a lot of similarities with the 737NG, which allows them to cut down the development time. I just wondering what are the commonalities these two aircraft share. I have noticed when studying the two cockpits, they have similar equipment such as the EFIS panel and the display for the PFD and ND display look very alike in there software and the designs of the actual panels , the FMC looks similar but I am aware the 777 shares its FMC software with the 747, these are just examples there's plenty of others. I'm just wondering if they share common system such as fuel ,Hydraulic ,Pneumati…

Is it true that most airlines choose not to have Boeing install the cabin interior, seating, IFE, & etc at the plant? If that is the case I want to plan a realistic delivery for UAL/COA and BAW from KPAE. Where do the aircraft get dropped off for the cabin install? Do the airlines do it in house at there maintenance facilities or sub-contract it out to another company in the Pacific Northwest. IRL is it safe to assume that an aircraft leaving KPAE doesn't land at it's hub and go straight into revenue flights within the week? The acceptance procedures and checklist are here if you interested in doing an acceptance flight when the T7 is released. http://www.caa.govt.nz/…

YO PMDawGz All right I has been on the big internets. And what I saw was amazing. Lots of naked women but above all I saw a video of a 777 with its wings flapping like a bird's. Could you incorporate folding wings that fold in mid air so we can simulate the flapsation of the wings plz plz plz. Brendan H Keep up the good work PMDG. Just thought I'd add another request to the 4324324234324324324 I see everyday everytime I check for updates from the team.

Be sure to check the classifieds section here on the forum if you're interested in some original B777-200 materials from American Airlines. Will be great for the serious simmer. I wonder how extensive PMDG's online manuals and such will be. I'm hoping they will be extensive, with checklists and backgrounders.

If the 777 is anything like the NGX (which I've read it will be) I absolutely can't wait for this add-on. In FS9 the NG was one of the top birds to fly. Now I have my new machine that can run FSX, I'm never flying outside of the NGX. I just can't bring myself to get in another 2D, or crap VC plane. BRING ON THE 777! I've scoured this forum for pictures, you'd think somebody would sticky them. I can't find many Craig Gear

Was looking at A.net and this link was posted of a 777 swirling of the runway and getting into a stop in the mud. Guess the captain spilled his coffee in his lap :P You can hear those tiers scream. Here is a picture of the result: Guess they just wanted to try making a big "S" for Singapore :P

Do you think Beta Testing will be as long as the NGX? Or are you taking a lot of what you learnt with the NGX to make it pretty much not needing to much done when you get to beta? I'm not sure on the NGX Beta Testing times, I thought it was around April/May - July? Also will we be getting an Update from Rob or someone in a Month or so to let us know how things are coming along with both 777 & 747? I don't know what the announcement rate was like prior the NGX's release!

Hi all, I once read that the last 2 tires of the main gear of the 777-300 actually turn several degrees to assist in turning the very long bird, not unlike the 747. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is, are there any good videos or pictures that show it? If it is, PMDG have you guys decided to model it? thanks, mitch bowman

Hi all After jumpseating many flights on the 777-200, more times than I care to remember, there are a few things I have noticed that I would like to see modelled. 1) 'CABIN SECURE' message on the EICAS. I'm sure this could easily be modelled to appear randomly say 5-10 mins after setting flaps before takeoff or completing the after start checklist. This is something that you hardly ever see modelled on add-on aircraft unless you purchase 3rd party software and I really think it should be. It would add much more immersion to the environment and is included in most operaters checklists. 2) Leading on from that, the airline I have observed can send an audio signa…

With the release of the 777 closer then we all thought, are we going to see PMDG release preview videos like they did with the NGX? I remember watching the night takeoff and crosswind HUD landing NGX videos and being amazed and all the more anxious for its release. Would be great to see some of these with the 777.

Hi there, Has there been mention of printed B777 manuals being available for the PMDG 777 - Similar to the 737/747 and MD11??? If not mentioned yet, can PMDG give us an indication as to whether or not this is in the pipeline? Regards Matt
