Dear:I use MSI Z370 Gaming Plus main board and Windows 10 64-bit, ver 1803, RS 4 in my desktop.I upgraded my P3d from v4.3 to v4.4. It fails to load P3D v4.4 many a times. The opening screen "Prepar3D" shows and the timer blue ring continues to rotate. After waiting long time, I use Control+Alt+Del, exit from P3D. If I try to increase or decrease sound volume, the slider moves but no sound is audible. If I open of Realtek audio control panel and click on the pictures of the speakers, still no sound and a pop up shows up saying Windows is trying to find solution of the problem. If I uninstall Realtek, a message shows Nahimic 2 version is not up to date.I don't know about R…

I have just changed my P3Dv4 simulator from an older PC with Windows 7 to a new PC with Windows 10. I'm using the MCP Combo II and the OVHv737 from VRinsight. Both have been working perfect with the old PC (Windows 7). In the new PC (Windows 10) the VRSim tool detects both devices but it simply doesn't connect to P3Dv4. Any idea what could be the reason why VRSim is not connecting to P3Dv4? Would be great if anybody has an idea about a workaround. Detlef

Hi, I use the graphic profile option with specific airplanes. When flying a smaller A2A airplane I use an 'vfr' setting with high autogen etc. When flying the Pmdg Ngx I have an Ngx profile with view autogen, just because the airplane is heavy on my pc. I also have an PBR profile for the Maddog and a sort of in between for the Majestic q400. I think it would be handy if I could couple the graphic profiles with a certain airplanes, just so that I have 1 less action to do. Being lazy as I am. :-) Maybe this could be added in P3D? I know there are separate sim starter programs, but what if I would use this at my first startup. But would like another kind of 2n…

Fired up P3Dv3 a couple of days ago to find my joystick, rudder pedals, and mouse key press were not working. Mouse over a dial or switch I can hear the click and read the tips but no movement of the switch. My CH yoke and rudder pedals are dead as well. Shutdown and restarted the computer, but that didn't help. I'm trying to avoid a reinstall of P2Dv3 and all of my associated folder. I have cleaned out my latest installed- aircraft. Everything was working just fine four days ago. I did something but can't clear it up. Any ideas of how to clear this up will be most appreciated by this dweeb🤢 P3dV3 Windows10 i5 intel processor 16mb ram 1 TB hard drive

Hi, I updated to 4.4 a few days ago using the client only. I am trying to resolve an issue with AI (whole different mess of a topic). Since the issue still exists, I am going to give updating the content and scenery a try. Since it has been a few days and there have been changes to my install since the client update, should I update the client again when I update the scenery and content? And if so, since I am updating all three, is there a one step way to do that? I downloaded Prepar3D_v4_Professional_4.4.16.27077.zip and I see that there is a Setup_Prepar3D.exe in that zip file. Can I just run that, or do I need to do all the components by running the msi files…

I use Active Sky for P3d and looked forward to seeing the snow in Seattle, SeaTac, today. After all, they had over 7 inches as of today. Well, the weather representation using Active Sky showed only green grass and clouds. I thought I'd see it snowing (it really was snowing supposedly there) and I would see some snow covered terrain. Nope. I know that when it's snowing here on the East coast, Active Sky usually represents it pretty well. I wonder why the weather wasn't represented well on the West coast. Any thoughts? Stan

Hello Experts I have new installation with P3D v4.4 and several scenery and aircraft added. The parking brakes are not working with the default aircrafts and the addon aircrafts already installed. The keyboard function to apply the parking break are the ctrl + . key and I also programmed a switch on my SAITEK Rhino yoke. If I change to my installed FSX the parking brake works well with SAITEK Rhino and Thrustmaster. The problem is not releated to the SAITEK driver. Hello all. Can someone point me to a software that logs flights kind like FS Flight Keeper that works with Prepar3D v4? I'd like the software to be able to track the flight either offline or online (Vatsim). The software has to show a map plotting the route flown after the flight is over (it doesn't need to be a live map tracking). It would be ideal if the software could display the landing vertical speed, block and airborne times and fuel used. It would be great if the software could learn the departure and arrival airports by itself (i.e., no need to submit a flight plan of fill in any box). Hello, I'm interested in getting Leonardo's MD80 for P3D. From what I understand, it needs the P3D v4.4. client and content for it to work fully with the PBR. I only did a client update to P3D v4.4, rest it still on v4.3. My question is if I install the MD80 with only the client updated to v4.4, will I lost anything other than PBR functionality ? Will the aircraft systems work okay with my current install ? Regards 9W

Good morning, Have a quick question... I want to use a 65" tv for a monitor of an A320 desktop setup. The problem is that i want to display on it only a cropped view.... The picture below shows a setup with 3 monitors. I want to simulate the same FOV but only display what should be visible in front of me (on one screen)... technically displaying only the part in the red rectangle ond one big tv... Bought and installed Orbx TE UK South for P3Dv4 today, after downloading and installing it I couldn't see any files in my scenery folder, so I clicked on the Verify files in FTXCentral3 but after several hours it's not working and I can't stop it from veryifying how can I stop it?

I've been watching some flight sim streams lately and looking at screenshots and everything looks very realistic and pretty however all of my attempts to make a somewhat similar looking sim seem to fail. I have TomatoShade, (I tried) ReShade, REX Sky Force 3D, Orbx Global, OLC Europe, Active Sky and a pretty good computer. Looking at screenshots on the rdpresets website, they look great but I can't get anything even close to that. Spoiler My sky is always a very light blue and the clouds are a dark grey colour, while the ground trees and fields look very saturated. I've noticed with P3D4.4 that the flight recorder is much improved, able to handle long flights without the stutters that used to exist in the FSX recorder or earlier versions of P3DV4. Has anyone else noticed this or tried the recorder? I have two flights saved, one from SFO to Santa Ana in a Citation and one from Tahoe to SFO in the Carenado Shorts 360. John

Hi all, For awhile now I have been flying GA aircraft (mostly from A2A and RealAir), but I also have an interest in airliners. The problem is that I have no idea where to start or what add-on I should get as my first high quality airliner. I am leaning towards the Majestic Q400, but I have also heard good things on PMDG's lineup of add-ons. Is one recommended a little more than the other for beginners, or should I just go with my gut and get the Q400?

The other day I had no rudder, that was fixed. I started a flight this evening with everything working. I disconnected the auto pilot so I could land and discovered my rudder, aileron, and elevator wasn't working which resulted in a nasty crash. The throttle and flaps worked. I'm not having a problem with this in FSX SE. I do have FSUIPC 5 but prefer not to use it because for me it's too complicated.

as there is a way to save a flight at any point in FSX, is there a way of saving the PRO ATX plan at any point to accompany the flight ? thanks

I've just started getting this error message: "Another SODE Process is still running in the background. Please kill the process in task manager and restart the sim." It happens every time I start P3D and I don't see anything running in Task Manager. The only thing I can think of is that I just installed Ultimate Traffic Live, but have nothing to make me believe that's the cause. I need help please! Thanks guys!

I'm frankly confused by the autopilot on the Carenado Shrike Commander. I can't find a manual for it, and I would like to learn the proper procedures for the autopilot. Can you direct me to a link or something that has the manual for this plane? Much appreciated. Stan
