I thought that all of my Aerosoft airports were working perfectly in P3D2 and P3D2.1. (installed using the EMT). But on looking in more detail at for example Friedrichshafen, I have noticed that the airport does not appear the same in P3D2.1 as it does in FSX. some apparent differences: the Blimp is not visible on the north side of the airport in P3D2.1, and there are residential houses on the airfield at the east end of the runway in P3D2.1. Anyone else who has this airport in both FSX and P3D2.1 having similar problems?

Hey all, I just wanted some input. I see alot of folks moving to P3D so i have to ask...is it worth it. I have a relatively good system and want to migrate to P3D if its worth it. My only hang up is I have been flying with FS9 forever and I have tons of payware and freeware addons. Can I use these in P3D? Is it stable? ie. can i fly without crashes? Is it visually comparable to FSX? Just want some thoughts and opinions... Thanks in Advance!!

Hi everybody, I considering buying a new weather engine, I had before REX essentials but I´m not very satisifed with it, I read that ASN should be very good. Has anybody ASN working on P3dv2.1 (very important!!)? Or are there better Weather engines out there? advise is much appriciated thanks Harry

Does anyone have any pointers or personal experience of the benefits of a Titan amount of VRAM please? (Am wavering between the Titan or a 780Ti and the only real discernable difference apart from price is the 3Gb extra VRAM..?) Or would I be better getting one 780 now and another later? Cheers k

Hey! I've got a brand new iMac, don't even want to state how much i paid for this beauty, but it's lovely in almost every way. Except for flightsiming. If I want to play something newer than fs2004. It has a 3.5 Ghz i7 Haswell processor with turbo to 3.9, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB graphics card. Without being an expert I would say it's fairly good? However, even in P3Dv2 I can't push the display settings to be even near the graphics I had in fs2004. I have been for the last two weeks since rebuilding my system I have been in a never ending battle to do just one thing - fly my sims. But that has not been really a posibility when it seems I am fixing one thing, that effect another, that effects another,,,,,,you get the point. So yesterday I have decided to do something to give myself some piece of mind - I am not chasing my tail. Yesterday I removed migrator from P3D, I removed Captain Sim 757 and 767, and a couple utility programs that need migrator. So, Out of curiosity and an abundance of impatience over the seemingly-forever-near-release of Aerosoft's new F-14 Tomcat (which I'll probably wait on for awhile and assess how much work needs to be done post-release on this no-doubt complex aircraft), I picked up P3Dv2.1 today (latest), and tootled around in it for awhile. The opaque ATC comms window is an absolute non-starter for me. Sigh. Aside from that, though, some nice graphics features, and it's good to see the ORBX and REX stuff in there purely from a visuals point of view. Installed radio stack from satiek and also added second throttle quadrant, radio syncd with system and working with pr3d 2.1 My problem inspite of multiple attempts in configuring the controls quadrant still insists it wants to control elevator and ailerion which obviously causes problems with the yoke. Also I'm not seeing the option of controlling other than a single engine prop, throttle, and mixture I bet this is simple but I still appreciate the help Rich

HI all: I know this has been discussed before, but I just cannot find an answer from search engines. I have badly shimmering or flickering narrow thin objects. These are light poles, or windmills, or thin metal bridge supports. From a distance they all will flash like a strobe light, it not only is annoying, but hurts my eyes in the bargain. When I get really close the shimmer goes away. What settings do I need to change to get rid of this effect? By the way, I know this was a problem in FSX as well. When I look outside through the side window of my aircraft, or when I switch to an outside view, it seems that the lower part of the picture isn't keeping up with the upper part of the picture. It like the lower part is dragging along and the picture is distorted, while the upper part gives a perfect view. What can I do to get rid of this annoying distortion of the picture?

Just installed the QW757 last night and it works like a champ. Does not need migrator and looks good along with functionality.

I am a little confused about how to install 3rd party PNW airports into my ORBX PNW so I don't mess things up. Do I use FTX Central to apply default scenery first, then install the 3rd party airport, and then use FTX central to reapply North America? Please clarify the steps. Thanks! Airbus

Is it just me or is there nothing really significantly visually different about the water in V2. Based on what I had read pre-release I was expecting to find something more akin to the water animation in Ship Simulator or CoD. I also find that the water surface 'jerks' occasionally just like it does with FSX. That was one of my top annoying things about FSX.

Hello, I have been having a problem with my igdumdin32.dll file. It has been causing Prepar3D to crash when trying to do simple tasks. I am on a windows 8 64-bit system. Apparently this is an Intel file. I have gone to the site and made sure all my drivers were updated, but it is still crashing no matter what I do. What could be causing this?

I was scanning FSX for duplicate afcads and i have the following two entries as example: ADE_FTX_ENG_EGNO,BGL BR2_EGNO.BGL (from MyTraffic 2010) Should the MyTraffic 2010 entry be turned off as a duplicate? Does the Orbx entry contain AI aircraft? Thanks Dom

Hi My P3D nearly complete the download, I will activate it and enjoy. But before that I need ask about is there any tweaks need to add to increase the performance. Is there is a ny tweaks to use with P3D v2.1 ?????

Hi, when I install KJFK and go to prepar3d its not showing up. It said to go to addons in prepar3d at the menu but thats not there eaither? I get an error when installing KJFK but it says it installed sucessfully. Right before it finishes it says python not supported, then says instalation sucessful. I try to go to addons in Prepar3D to activate it but the addons bar at the top isn't there.

I didn't see it in the master compatibility list. I went to the Milviz forum and their stance is simply that you can use it but they wont offer support for it until they change their EULA and make it a P3d stand alone product. I think this is fair, I understand the direction they are going. For the time being I have imported mine into P3dv2.1 using the EMT and while it installs fine selecting any of the models causes the sim to crash to desktop. I see there is another person who was having a similar issue but the matter seems to have been handled in private. So with that said, does anyone have this plane working in P3dV2.1? Hi All, I am a beginner FSX simmer, but experienced w/ race sims, IL-2, Falcon, etc.: .cfg/.ini file tweaks, community mods, FPS comparos, etc. I did a lot of homework on NVidia Investigator and fsx.cfg tweaks as per AVSim & other guides. Did some basic tweaks and now have a nice, stable install of FSX Gold in Win 7 X 64 running DX10. Good stability and video/graphics performance using 1/2 refresh rate tweak. I'm a layman, and pretty much of a dunce when it comes this scenery stuff. As I understand it FTX Global simply replaces default textures with better ones and adds some landclass as well. Vector changes coastlines and does a lot of stuff UTX does except on a global as opposed to regional bases. I have FTX Global installed since I am collecting all those freeware Global airport packages. I purchased Vector, but dumped it because some rivers in Western Canada were missing, namely the Pelly River in the Yukon. So I reinstalled all my UTX (I have all of them). Those are the preliminaries. Now comes the question. Can I install BOTH Vector and UTX …

Will PMDG (and others...) be able to animate rain drops in VC with P3Dv2, or is it not possible like in FSX?

Hey guys, I recently got Oslo v2. When the installer asks me to choose what sim I have...I selected Prepar3d v2.x. When I click next, the installer asks me to manually input the Prepar3d directory because it can't automatically find it. When I input the directory, it says, "Couldn't Find Microsoft Flight Simulator." I have included pictures in this link. http://imgur.com/a/6grHW
