FS2CREW: LEVEL-D 767 (FSX Voice Control)

I am a new user of FScrew and I am having a lot of fun with it. I completed the install per instructions, did the voice training and in general works pretty well. At a four mile final, AP off, my virtual FO decided the flaps should be up. Funny how real life gets figting the FO to save the aircraft. I had set the FMC up for a departure and a return back to the same airport. AP was left off during the entire sequence.What might I have done to deserve this excitment? What should I look for. I have seen this twice.Brad

Bryan.I am one of the many persons out there that cannot get the soft mute to work, have a request. I dont know if its just me, but i think i may remember the way the soft mute works in the maddog version is when you are using VATSIM, when you press the transmit key the product detects this and activates the soft mute? If that is so, then could you also add that feature to the 767 version?

Hi BrianIs there any chance of adding the usual flight attendant announcements to the 767 package - the American crew seems to be the only package that is complete, although does have an annoying buzzing in the background during the announcements. I say before start checklists and the only thing the FO says is windows? and I respond closed and locked. That's the only thing he says. I never get a ready for pushback either. Half the time the game stops before take off and says microsoft flight simulator has stopped working. Any suggestions?

I am suppose to select a VOR/DME near the airport and tune to it for the ILS approach. How do I know what VOR/DME to use? I am used to just letting the GPS on the default aircraft fly and then just tuning into my NAV1 radio and picking up the localizer. In the manual it says 20 miles out to turn NAV1 to a nearby VOR and center the OBS. Next enter the name of the VOR you tuned into in the fix page in the FMC. That's where I get lost. Can anyone help me? I have read through the manual and can't find anything stating what DME and VOR's are.

Hello everyone,I recently bought the 767 Voice Commander after using the Maddog Version and I too experience the "check... check... braindead FO"-problem - but for me it's quite reproducible: I can't get the software to recognize the phrase "We're clear on the Left" after receiving the Taxi Clearance and switching on the Taxi Lights. I've tried everything, modulated my pronounciation, did the Voice Recognition Training Sessions etc..., but I can't get the software to recognize this particular phrase (usually it recognizes "repeat last", although for example the Maddog Version does recognize it perfectly.When I stop trying to get this phrase recognized and cycle to the nex…

Gday Bryan,First off thanks for the awesome product.I got it a couple of days ago and after a couple of voice training sessions it was all working fairly well for the first flight. However during preflight of my second flight which started positively, FS2Crew slowly stopped recognising what i was saying to the point at which during engine start it would not recognise any word at all and i could not get the FO to start the other engine. I proceeded without FS2Crew and then ran some training sessions in the cruise, and it started to work a little better, so i did some more however then the issue worsened again and now it wont recognise any of the flap calls and most autopil…

Hi,I just completed my first flight, but I missed the option to set Com1 Frequency via a voice command. I can set Nav1 and 2,but not Com... That's especially irritating when flying online, where changing frequencies has to happen often and fast.Will this feature be added?Thanks :)

Hi there Bryan,first of all (agian): Outstanding work on the Voice Commander. I'm kind of addicted!But I have a huge problem concerning the LDS 767 Voice Commander. Sometimes my FO is going crazy and is not listening to any of my commands i give. The commands are displayed correct in the MSG-Field of FS2Crew but FO is not reacting except for saying "checked" after the command. I'm qute sure i follwed the FSCrew-Flow in order, so what'S going on here and more important: How am I going to solve this? :( CheerioFlorian

Reference to the Ops Manual page 29 and page 38, I noticed the following discrepancies. I am running FS9 on Windows XP. Can someone please check and confirm.-If I do the pushback with the normal procedure ground will reply to my ”Thanks for the guidance”. However, if no pushback procedure is used there is no reply to my “We’re Ready” and “You can disconnect now”.-When descending and passing 10000 feet (or FL100 if above TL) FO will turn on the lower EICAS but will not turn on the wing lights.Cheers,Bert

I'm trying to use a built in mic in my computer. However every time I try to talk there is no response. Is there a hotkey for talking or something. I think my mic should work, i fly on vatsim with it.

Hi,everytime I am in cruise, preparing for the descent and approach, I don't have to push the button on the overhead panel to call the flight attendant.I just have to say "any specials today ?" and then magically the FA answers (like he or she was sitting in the cockpit waiting for my question) : "yes 1 WCHR, 1 S, and 2 MEDA"....Is it a little bug ?

I was flying a 4 hour long domestic flight from KDTW to KSLC and had a near flawless flight all the way up to the STAR (SPANE5) and was coming down the arrival perfectly, FS2 was precise, no ATC and all my GF equipment and CDU hardware was working flawlessly (when you have many variables "lots of addon hardware" , Murphy likes to play from time to time . . .LOL). Well I was just having the FS2 FO take the MCP off LNAV and asked for "heading select" and settled in at 11000ft and 210 knots, and suddenly ATC pops up on TWR in Salt Lake, 'no problem" I think and then . . . . . suddenly my monitors (yes all of them on the Matrox box) go to comlete "snow", tried a few work aro…

Hi!First of all I'd like to say that FS2Crew has changed the way I fly with FSX!I decide to buy the Level-D Voice and I discover a new world ;-)I notice that when I turn off both FUEL VALVES, First Officer starts the shutdown checklist.But in this checklist he turns off also all fuel pumps and so the APU goes off! In this way if I don't connect the external power the 767 "die" :( I don't know if this is a real procedure but First Officer should ask if I want to turn the APU OFF and if "yes", he turns off all fuel pumps.It should be great also if he could contact the ground for external power and external air.Thanks!Regards, Max

Hello,I have completed 2 flights with FScrew today after installing it this morning. I have one question concerning the FO voice. I am unabled to hear his voice through my headset. In the config menu there is not a "USB headset" option...it only shows my audio driver. How do I have it send the voice to my headset?Thanks,Richard

So that you all know, after my first challenges with getting th LVLD set up and working well with FS2Crew, all has gone very well, recognition is pretty accurate (still am careful on approach and final and use "mute" occassionally). So I have been quite enjoying flying the LVLD now after a 5 year break from the ole girl (remember the button version of FS2). Hi I realize the potential of voice commander for the 767, but I'm just not actualizing it.Install went smooth. I have the 1.2 version. Installed the SAPI engine. I did the mike callibration- it's ok.Panel config lines are as the manual shows. Loaded fs9, placed 767 in Denver,ticked off all the options required by manual. I've noticed that on my system several of the voice clips are so low that it is simply impossible to hear them. Since no one else have complained I assume that it is somehow related to my computer and I wonder what I can do about it? Editing the clips myself and raising the volume? In that case, what would be a suitable program to do that with?The clips are eg where you are greeted after having said "any snags", when the load sheet is handed over and a few more. Others on the other hand, eg the FA announcements, are so loud that I literally have to turn down the volume not to wake up the kids on the upper floor! :D
