FS2CREW: LEVEL-D 767 (FSX Voice Control)

I found a similar topic, but the person figured out what his problem was before any suggestions were posted. My headset won't work when I am running the LDS/FS2Crew. It works OK when I'm using ifly/FS2Crew. I'm running Windows 7 64bit, Having this issue with FS9.

Dear Bryan, I just made total changes with fs9 "Assignments" and suddenly two flights after, I found the FO didn't do Before Star Procedure properly, "set sixty percent didn't work either".. some worked but many didn't, like Packs, APU, Fuel Config, Hydraulic, as a result I had to do it semi-manually. is editing too many key assignments causes these? I just want to make sure before I reset it to default. Thanks regards

Been 2 flights n found that the altitude indicator in MCP was locked in either 50000 or 00000 after I told the FO to set it to a certain Flight level and after that it wouldn't move up or down no matter what I did (even changed it manuallyby scrolling up and down), same goes to speed, it wouldn't change to desired speed and wasn't changeable.. I consulted to the manual, as You said I had to turn the VOiCE in the toggle bar off and back to on, and everything was back to normal. But then I couldn't hear the FO, i tried to perform approach brief but no response, followed by saying "any specials today", still no response. Hi,I have just purchased the 767 voice commander for FS9. When I open the config panel it does not recognise my usb headset. I also have the ifly 737 and pmdg 747 voice commanders and if I load one of those the headset shows but then when I return to the 767 it only shows my speakers and no headset.Any ideas?ThanksJonoops ignore this post!!! HelloWhen I am about 20 miles back of the TOD, I need to perform a Bearing and Distance check. I understand that I need to set NAV 1 to manual, but my question is, do I use any VOR that close to me then I enter the station or the VOR close to my arrival?Any help would be appreciated. Probably the most stupid question ever asked here, but where do I assign the soft mute key? The documentation and this forum mentions the configuration manager, but when I run that from Windows, there is no choice to set any key mappings. I can change config files, review voice logs Etc, but no key mappings.What am I missing here?ThanksSorry,Now I found it! It was the most stupid post!

Bryan,First off, a Happy New year to you and yours, in advance, of course!Question regarding key mappings. Are you using the default map that ships with the LDS 767? Key mapping is the bane of my FSX life as there are so many apps that need to be set-up to deconflict. I've created a spreadsheet that maps all apps and aircraft key maps allowing me to change any conficting ones. However, I discovered with the PIC 737 voice version of FS2C that you use the default map and I can't change it.Is it the same with the LDS version? In other words, will there be conseqenses if I change any? If so, is there a list of those you DO use so I know which ones to leave alone?Thanks,Andy

My FO is working well, but as for cabin announcements, i made sure to turn up the volume, but am wondering if they make announcements in most phases of flight. I also have AES and fspassengers. I only hear fs2crew cabin at begining of flight like while taxing???I'm guessing i'll let fspassengers handle doors, because of AES and the timing i have to shut doors while pax are boarding. What do you think?And lastly when i click preflight and speak commands, i don't hear them in headset example the engineer, only the FO, is this normal?

Let me just say I love this product - it's great, brings added realisim, and makes flying the Level-D much easier, especially on VATSIM when ATC is vectoring me and I don't have to fiddle with those knobs.However, I do have an issue. In the manual it says running pre-flight events is optional, so I skip that as I follow my own checklists and usually start at the before engine start procedure.Part of my checklists is to fully program the FMC, which apparently FS2Crew doesn't like. Any time I start it, it always clears out the weights and V-speed pages. Is there a way around this?Is there also a transcript of everything that the F/O can say? I'm hearing impaired so it would…

Had anyone else had a problem with the flaps on an approach? On final, flaps 30 set, at vref speed. Then the flaps retract on their own to 20° and I get a repeating clicking noise (same sound as normal flaps). The only way I can get flaps back to 30° for landing is to manually extend flaps using Saitek throttle/flaps lever. Thanks for any help. P.S. yes I've installed sp1 update.

Hi,I finally got the software to work in FS2004 after many false starts.I bought the voice edition when my old pc had windows xp, and it just wouldn't work.Now, under windows 7, it works well.Questions:1. My mike is a 30-40 cms from my face. I noticed that sometimes my speaking is not be detected. I discovered that if I press q for fs sound off, my words are recognized. .(this is after i did all the voice testing as per manual).I can bring back back the sound when i do not speak and perform other actions. Can't get FS2Crew to move off Pre-Taxi no matter what.

I've installed fs2crew for the level-d 767 for both simulator (fs9 and fsx)on the same computer.In fsx all work fine, in fs9 it seems to fail to install fs2crew on the panel, because I click on the VS indicator and the fs2crew doesn't show up. ah, using voice edition

Hi Bryan,This may be a completely stupid question but I'm completely out of ideas with regards to a minor issue.Everything works as intended during flight preparation and flying except I can't hear the FO talk. He seems to be performing all of my requested actions during the checklist process but I can't hear him reading it back. I have no issues hearing ground crew or flight attendants and the volume is set all the way to the top on the configuration panel.I have tried to re-install both the level-d and fs2crew without avail, everything installed and executed as admin.Any thoughts?LOVE your software by the way!Sincerely,Sverre A Nordheim

Hey there - I just couldn't pass up another FS2Crew for my 767. A quick question - I am modifying my panel.cfg to work with my 3H2Go. What is changed window or gauge that is changed that adds the hotspot to bring up the Main Panel? Instead of completely modifying the new panel.cfg, I want to copy over the new FS2Crew [windows] and retain all of the placement and scale of all of the other windows. However, the hotspot on the vertical speed indicator is lost when I do that. Everything work fine - I just don't have the hot spot if I go about it this way. I have purchased Level-D Voice Commander for FS9 and have followed the manual to set things up but I cannot get the program to start and the timer remains at 45 minutes.Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian

Hi this is a pretty serious and annoying problem with FS2Crew. I obviously have it for the Level-D 767 and it's the Voice Commander edition for FSX. I am running Windows Vista 32Bit and have no problems with it. On FS2Crew I can configure the 767 for the panel state and click on the vertical speed standby instrument and the FS2Crew panel pops up. It says that the voice recognition has started but I talk into my headset and nothing shows up on the upper bar where it shows what you said. I tested my built-in mic and my headset mic. They both work fine outside of FS2Crew. I also set my headset mic for sound and voice on the sound options of FSX, and installed new audio drive…

Hi, I have a strange problem with the F.O. when I go through the checklists !When I use UK or Eurozone!He answer with two sentence s after each other without a pause inbetween them.example: afterstart checklist! engine anti-ice........recall....... I saw a topic like this a while back but after searching I couldn't find it again. I actually get this issue using FS2Crew for the PMDG J41, PMDG 747-400, and the Level-D 767.The issue is no matter what volume level I set in the config panel the FO's speech volume never stays the same level. Sometimes I hear him great, then for several checklists/flows he's so quiet I can barely hear him over the engines.Then the next second (sometimes in mid-sentence) his voice is making my ears bleed it's so loud. Hoi guys..I have a little problem..just started in London outbound Johannesburg everthing wents fine but after takeoff the FO dont make what he have do. i think something go wrong and i forget one thing or so?! I own a vrinsight mcp combo. After loading my Level-D767, all things are working fine. Then i start the Fs2crew voice commander and the mcp combo does´nt work again. Within 6 hours I read all the different files and any postings, but no result.Can anybody help me?Greetings Knut
