Last time when I chnaged my mabo and CPU, I got System protection Error in XP and the only choice I had is to reinstal windows.Is there a way to go around this without reinstaling windows?Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what the surface is, on this Sony SDM-M81 LCD. It feels like a plastic. Has anyone had experiences (good or bad) in applying a cleaning agent to such a surface?Thanks,Bruce.

First off, my specsAMD 1700 oclckd to 1800ECS K7VTA33 mobo512 DDR RAMGeForce 3 Ti 20040 GB 7,200 HDWin XP14" monitor!I've run both PCMark and 3D Mark and I think I've got lower results than what I should be getting. I know that numbers don't mean much, but I don't think I'm getting all I can from FS2K2.My PCMark scores are 4605 CPU, 2889 memory and 463 hard drive. When I look at the system info. under memory it lists 512 MB RAM, but lists three sticks of 128 RAM at 0 freq. I don't understand why it does this. I've got three slots on my mobo, but using only two, each with 256 RAM in them. How do I make sure my RAM is running at the speed it does, I thought it was just…

I've built a new system and decided to go with the Radeon 8500. I am generally happy with its FS2002 performance except for one thing: my shiny/reflective textures have disappeared, replaced with a dingy grey. I suspect there is some obscure settting I am missing, and yes, I do have the appropriate FS option in the aircraft menu checked. I Have a GeForce2 MX400 video card on my p4 1800 mhz. how I can resolve this problem (see picture below) without change the videocard? I have the latest driver (28.32).Anyone can help me? I'm about to re-install Windows XP (changing a motherboard). Among those items I'd like to back up is the log-on passwords that IE so "conveniently" :) remembers. Is there a file or folder in XP where I could find my stored passwords, just in case there's one that I don't remember myself?Thanks,Bruce.

Anyone know how to disable the Windows Me log in screen. It's the one at boot that wants a username and password. I thought by clicking OK without a password would prevent it from appearing again, but it still shows up at very boot.I'm running PM and want the systems to start the PFD/ND and ECAM with out having to click the log in screen. I do have the PM and WideFS in the Start Up folder so they auto start at boot.Thanks,Richard

He handed me a dead Mustek, Model A440, Intel Celeron 1 gig laptop, that suffered power loss during a Defrag. After that, it would only boot to a Blue Screen. As the only thing on the laptop, was the OS and a couple of games, I decided to do a clean install of the original OS, which was Win98 SE. I just upgraded from a P3 733 to an Athlon XP 1800. System has 512 ram, WinME, ATI Rage Fury / Xpert 2000 Pro video and a SB PCI 128 soundcard. I had no problem with FS2002 yesterday with the P3, but now have a very bad flicker problem in any of the cockpit views. The other views ( tower and spot )are normal. The only advice I can find relative to this problem has been to disable the heirarchalZ tab in the Rage Tweak program. I downloaded the Rage3D Tweaker program, version 1.5, but can't find such a tab to uncheck in this version. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Is there a way to test memory (software) that's better than SiSoft Sandra? Before my complete reinstall, it seemed my 1 gig of supposedly DDR 2100 memory didn't test too well.I remember a long time ago something that you had to put on a floppy because it ran its memory checks before starting windows. I installed Windows XP just over a month ago and ever since I've experienced video card lockups when either running FS2002 or viewing video clips.I'm so utterly frustrated right now that I'm about to throw my PC through the window but I figured I'd ask the experts here first. Hi, I had two hard drives on my system, then I installed a Seagate 80gbs drive in place of an old CD-ROM drive, and used the "drive copy" program to make the Seagate my Master drive. which worked well.Now I would like to remove one of my old drives (the Philips), but it has programes on it so I can't copy its contents over to my third drive (WESTERN DIGITAL) and disconect it ,if I do I get a lot of Errors.
