I fired up FSRecorder this morning while flying Hay River to Yellowknife (CYHY-CHZF) as I knew I was expecting some wild crosswinds on arrival. Some of you may know this route as the sched on Ice Pilots NWT. Was 15kts gusting 22kts which makes the DC3/C47 a real handful. I ended up going around for a second attempt as the gusts were blowing me way of track. Hope you enjoy this fun little video that I made in a few hours of boredom today. I hope this is the right forum for this question! Can anyone point me to a good comprehensive tutorial on making a FS9 video? I do have Fraps but all my efforts are below par and my videos are much too large even though quality is bad! Guess I haven't got the hang of WIndows Movie Maker... Tonight’s flight was stormy and windy coming out of Flightbeams KSFO (it was one of Orbx weather themes that comes with FTX 1.1). It was a 4pm start, I had no plan, I had no clearance – just wanted to fly. The thunder shook my house (or was it the big subwoofer) -- yes I was entertaining myself, shame on me. I Taxi out to the closest runway, checked my belts and off I go ... not a single word to ATC ... this was a one way flight and I had the upperhand ... the Esc key. On rollout, the lightening reflected off the SF/Bay water as it light up the surrounding area. Given the ongoing discussions about performance and OOM with P3Dv2 I thought I would post a short clip of a flight I did today from ENVA to ENBR in the Majestic Q400. I'm using FDX global together with lots of freeware Norwegian scenery, running with a GeForce 780. Most of the settings are quite high, but not maximised. Experienced a steady 35 frames per second for most of float, going down to just below 30 when approaching ENBR. The videos mostly to show off smoothness and the effect of flying through the volumetric clouds :-)

Incredible, 3D objects that don't billboard & rotate. They look so real and 'puffy'! Also features Flightbeam's KSFO that I just bought on sale, runs pretty well with standard planes/helis (but more sophisticated planes are tougher, though I only have a 670 card.

This is my first attempt at doing an FSX music video and also a little advertising for my VA. Enjoy! No tricks or gimmicks used. Raw FSX footage with no time compression or FS Recorder render tricks.

My first attempt at a blog. Run-time about 60 minutes. Of note in these videos is that there are no tricks or gimmicks used to trick the viewer into believing frame rates are something other than what they really are. This was filmed exclusively with FRAPS running and nothing else. There is no video time compression tricks and on FS Recorder post render video. This is raw live FSX at it's best. Enjoy!
