In case there are any Hornet drivers out there that are thinking on making the switch to the 21st century with DX10, the Superbug looks awesome in DX10 mode using the DX10 fixer hardly any problems. The only thing I noticed was that the FLIR does not work.. Other than that, everything else seems functional as far as I have seen. This is my first manual landing in the Quality Wings RJ100 ... I was actually just programming my GoFlight modules to work with the QW RJ100 and running a test flight. After I finished and tested (using FSUIPC mouse macros) I just decided to hit the nearest airport with appropriate runway ... don't even recall the name of the airport, sorry. Landing and Taxi lights are very well done in this aircraft. Rob.

For many years I've been looking at the TrackIR and wondering if it really works as well as I've seen in some YouTube videos ... so a bought one a few weeks ago and kinda forgot about it. Anyway, today I was motivated to install it. Thinking I was going to be involved in a long session of "training", getting the drivers to work, and updating prepar3D.cfg files and worry about it's VAS impact, frame rates, etc. etc. To my surprise I didn't need to do anything in P3DV2 other than try to hold my dinner down ... it was touch and go for a while. I watched this short video of a Lear jet in GTA5 and was impressed when both engines shut down as a result of water intake from a wave. This would be a really nice feature to add to all future flight-sims I reckon -where water, dust, bird-strikes etc can cause visible damage and engine failure. Enjoy the beauty.... . (Firefox users. I've been enjoying low level flights around Scotland, but J van E turned me onto Norway and I was pleasantly surprised! Wow, what a wonderful area to fly! This is my raw footage, just added a title.
