Before trying a first TP flight, can anyone who constantly flies jets from A to B, (not flying around same area), using TP, tell me very roughly how much disk space is required for say an hour flight with max textures set at LOD 15 1.1 (FSX)? Thanks, Stuart

Just been trying Just Flight's Revolution X and I'm pretty impressed! It loads up AutoGen for the UK in TileProxy that's well placed and looks sweet. You also get building lighting at dusk/dawn/night that looks good. You also get the option to load it into VFR GenX photo scenery. Must admit I wasn't expecting it to be so hot, but I was pleasantly surprised :smile: .

Hello all - Hope this forum is still active............ I have a problem with TP I run FSX on a Win7/64 machine - and also - Steam SE (FSX) on another Win7/64 I have used TP for year with not problem at all after a lot of playing around with settings and alway disable the DS using the F8 But for some strange reason both machine give a error as shown below The machine running Steam SE was stripped down and only Windows 7 and Steam SE loaded to see if anything like added scenery or Teamspeak was casing the problem, but alas it still prevails Any help most welcome ----------------------- The fault as shown in Steam SE - but much the same in FSX ----------------------…

After checking the map services for Tiliproxy only one works! And that is MS Bing Virtual Earth. Webatlas for Norway gives now a 404 error (not found). Yahoo gives a 503 error (Unavailable). Thus only one single possibility left..., allthough I hope I'm wrong.

Gentleman, I recently installed TileProxy 8 Beta succesfully without problems. I choosed the 1.1meter resolution option and TP runs fine, except for one thing: small stutters! I found out that the small stutters happen when Tileproxy is preloading while flying. When I stop the preloading window with a Ctrl-C, it runs as smooth as silk. But with proloading on, it continuesly has small stutters. I tried to lower my FPS from 30 to 20 and it helped a bit, but not enough. I'm looking for the real solution. My old system has an Intel Q9300 (4 cores) 2.5Hhz CPU overclocked to 3Mhz, 4Mb RAM, Vista32 SP2, FSX SP2, and a ATI HD7850 2Gb graphics card. Has anyone enco…

There should be 2 pictures enclosed. but I got the message "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." What do I have to do? Hi, some days ago I did download Tileproxy and it is running without any los of framerate. Please have a look at the 2 enclosed pictures. The DOS window shows an error. The screenshot from FSX shows groundtexture which is not very well. Does anyone have an idea how to solve the problem? And yes, I did read the manual. Best regards Ulli

I tried every method I could search on foruns to disable windows driver enforcement with no result. First I tried disabling using the F8 key option. Then I tried advanced settings/selecting disable driver enforcement. Then I tried Readydriver plus 1.1 with boot.bin for Win 8.1. During boot message appears that Boot.bin is missing, but is there!!! Then tried dseo13b.exe method. In each attempt I tried to launch Proxyuser but I could see on the DOS window that the program could not connect to the filter... Any help is welcome.... Thanks

I have noticed that a lot of runways are not aligned to the photo scenery. Some tiles seem to overlap is this a fault with TP ? Can I do something to correct the mis-alignments? I realy love TP it certainly enhances the flying experience. Many thanks to all concerned. Regards Michael.

OS Windows 7 64 bit / FSX Need help trying to make Tile Proxy work. I disable UAC and also the signature driver thing. Tile Proxy seem to work so far up to the point where it says ready for takeoff. The problem Im having is when I load a fligh at first tile proxy shows to load some tiles but immediately after it switch back and forth from loading tiles to a message that says Tile API: Unable to create cache folder. FSX will load the scenery but sometimes Im flying over water surrounded by low resolution tiles or Ill be flying over high resolution tiles surrounded by water. I own UTX and try to disable it but the problem persisted. At other times I see high res tiles…

Hi, I've had a quick look through the source code that ships with tileproxy, and it looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to change things so that it also works with P3D (rather than hacking P3D to look like FSX). Has anyone tried this? My only concern is whether the driver identifies FSX.exe, but a quick scan through the sys file does not reveal an fsx.exe string anywhere. Bryn.

In my region Yahoo maps has now good resulotion compared to Virtual Earth. But when i connect to Yahoo maps with tileProxy i get only 503 response.

I put TileProxy R086 in the AVSIM and Simviation libraries. I did this because a number of people wanted it and it was no longer available from the original source (via Facebook from Fonchy (https://www.facebook.com/TileproxySpain) and some other links that no longer worked). Other people have claimed TP_R086 has better performance than the original TP_Beta8. I myself have been unable to actually see any performance improvement over the original TP_Beta8 installation. I cannot find a good test benchmark to prove there is an actual improvement?? I have seen a few mentions of FSEarthTiles (or FSET) across the internet in discussions related to Tileproxy, but I don't really know much about it. I am interested in using one or the other for FSX (maybe P3D). For those who have any familiarity with both of these photoreal scenery approaches, what are your impressions of how they compare? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each relative to the other? (Or if you aren't familiar with both but know of articles or discussions covering both, can you point me to them?)

Just a note for anyone who has just installed Tileproxy and cannot get it to work. There are many threads on the internet discussing this error message: "proxy user: ERROR connecting to filter port: 0x80070002" Almost all of them say that the problem is due to a Windows conflict involving Tileproxy drivers not being properly authorized, and the typical suggestions for resolving the conflict involve various ways of disabling Windows' checking of whether the Tileproxy drivers are signed (for example, by installing and running a program called Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider 1.3b). Hello all I had to reinstall windows 7 proff. on my computer. Tileproxy has worked splendid so far. OBS But now it ask for a digital signed driver when I install Tileproxy and it won`t run when installed. Can you help me. ?? I have been using tileproxy for about the past 2 months and it has been working great. A couple days ago it went from loading the main screen with cascading dots and the x's in the ovals to scrolling the names of yahoo map segments. It takes a long time to scroll them and my FS rarely gets above 39% of the load. I haven't added anything new to my flight sim, so I'm not sure what started this. I have uninstalled all of the tileproxy files and folders so that i got a fresh load, but it's still doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there guys I live in New Zealand and have FSX installed. I'm going to install tile proxy and give it a go seeing as my country has some beautiful scenery. Firstly I have an AMD six core processor, 8GB of ram and a Radeon 2GB 200 series graphics card, plus broadband speed internet, will this be good enough to run tile proxy? What would be the best service for New Zealand? Also am wondering about dawn dusk flying. Does it render city and suburb lighting?
