Window 7 - \C is a SSHD with programes etc - have a separate HD partitioned into \D (Documents & Data) and \F (flight sim). I have FSX installed and working fine in \F. I uninstalled Microsoft update KB3086255 (known to be an issue with FS9 in Windows 7) I created a folder "Flight Simulator 9 in \F and installed FS2004 (version 0) in that folder and installed SP1 and then installed fs91nocd (fs9.exe). FS 9 will not run - nothing happens and a .cfg file has not been created in \AppDta\Microsoft. Have done the above many times installation many times and am seeking advice as to what my be the problem.

The Shard, a towering reflective glass finger, is a very obvious addition to the London skyline since the London scenery by visualflight was created. We have made a simple model of the building for use in FS9. It is uploaded to the library, but I am not sure how long approval takes with the Christmas break, so there is a direct link below if you want to download and try now. Hi guys, I need some help. I did not fly at dusk for weeks (maybe months) but all of a sudden today my fs9 did a sudden CTD. Some of my traffic went grey and after that my own plane went grey too. After that I got this CTD. I restarted fs9 and flew a testflight at dusk and again a ctd. I did some googling and read something about corrupted lightmaps because it only happens at night/dusk. Now I have a problem. I really dont know how to start searching in my ai-traffic for the corrupted file. Do you have some ideas???

Hi there, I have noticed, that in Ultimate Traffic 1 which I have. A number of Airlines checked, in the compile have Flightplans, but have no Specific Airline or texture repaint assigned to them. As I had been wondering why, so many Airlines I had selected for compiling hadn't appeared, in Flight Sim 2004. I went on web.archive.org, and found one or two repaints I wanted. one for Air Wales for the ATR-42. On the Original Ultimate Traffic Flight 1 archived website. In the past 2 or 2 weeks I have been getting Windows 7 errors messages and even had the dreaded blue screen crash 3 days ago! So instead of fixing this computer I asked my friend to build me a new one. When I get the new computer I am going to hopefully re-install FS9, but I am also going to install P3D v4. I figured I can use FS9 with my full AI while building P3D v4 AI (a lot of AI doesn't work in P3D v4 yet) and scenery. I just hope I will be able to install FS9 on the new computer, because if not I will have to give up on FS9 and stick solely with P3D. Hello, I have been trying to perfect my Celestial Navigation (CelNav) as opposed to just following a magenta line on the GPS. I attempted a flight from Whitehorse (CYXY) to Stevens Anchorage (PANC) which was a distance of 457nm. I embarked attempting to use the brilliant "Bubble Sextant." Long story short, I ended up near Eielson AFB, some 200-ish nm north of my intended destination. "What happened?" I thought when I took a glimpse at my GPS. Well, the problem was my not taking Magnetic Declination" into account or adjustment. Armed with new knowledge I tried the same flight. Only 20nm north of PANC this time. Hello again to you all, I am wondering if the Eaglesoft Premier1 (legacy) for FS2004 is better, as good as or inferior to the Carenado for P3Dv4. Obviously, I seek a comparison from anyone who has owned the Eaglesoft version and has recently purchased the Carenado version. Hello all, im having a nightmare today with keyboard assignments. I started the day with changing (or adding) a keyboard assignment for reloading aircraft. I was trying to make a quick fix for changing the ATC flight number at the gate. I got that working but it seems to have had an adverse effect on other commands. So I reset my key commands to default settings but still having issues with some commands. To start with the doors that normally are no problem to open with shift + E and shift + E 2 are troublesome. They work maybe once when you load the a/c but then stop working (whether they are open or shut). The next issue is if you press to try and get t…

Hi there, I have a problem, with the Freeware Program Jabbgl. I am trying to change the elevation, of runways and other parts of the Stock FS2004 EHAM (Schipol) Airport in the file AP949130.bgl to the Elevation values, of the NL2000V3se EHAM Airport. However when I run this Program, and I try to change the elevation in that File for EHAM Airport, what I input gets change to 0 everytime ? I have tried other numbers, and the same happens. I purchased fly tampa's Miami and upgraded to the most current version. I noticed that the only runways used for takeoff and landings are now rwy 12. How do you fix this? I've seen a couple options and tried them so far no luck. Please help.

I am considering reinstalling the PMDG 737. Do you guys think that it still competes against the LevelD 767 or the MD-11? I don't like the iFly version (for a few personal reasons) and I am looking for an alternative. thank you Ghiom

Hi I have tried asking this question in UK2000's forum and there have been plenty of views but no answers. I am talking about the very first sceneries they created and which they called VFR Airfields - not to be confused with their Extreme series. This was a great product in its time but I'm trying to spruce some of the airfields up with more up to date aircraft, etc. Particularly, I'm trying to remove the people images. I'm successful in removing the people themselves but I'm always left with a mid-grey rectangle where they were placed. Does anyone have any ideas how I can remove these rectangles as well? I have the 3 source files in the Ttools folder, I click on one and all 3 get selected, but when I click on compile, only the 2 files load and the 3rd one does not. And I get this message: "ERROR:Unable to open output file C\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\Scenery\traffic_TEMP" This is very frustrating as I want to make an AI Traffic file and can't. I uninstalled Ttools and reinstalled it a couple of times, no luck--I get the same problem. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate. Any help please?

Hello FS pilots I recently installed FSGRW as it got some good reviews and also in some forum the reviews where more then good. Before I started with FSGRW I used Active Sky Evolution with newest SP. But the only thing till now I don't like is the option to set options to get a smoother horizon so you'll not see the flat horizon of the FS2004. With ASE it looked like this: But now it looks like below when flying on FL380. On lower flight levels it's okay like approach etc. Hope someone has an idea about that Greets

I have FS9 and I've been running it with Windows XP for many years. I recently changed computers and reinstalled my FS9 using Windows 7 A few days ago I tested it and noticed that the gauges for all of my add-on aircraft have not been loaded. Payware sceneries did not transfer either. I was able to install my Quality Wings 757. The gauges for this aircraft work fine. Last night Windows loaded over 270 updates. When I tried to start Flight Simulator today I got this message: "Please log-in with administrator privileges and try again" I attempted to do that, but I still had the same problem. I read somewhere to restore to the time before the automatic updates were installed…

Hi guys, This question may be a large n00b question but Im going to do it: A few weeks ago I did a complete reinstall of fs9 because I migrated to Windows 10 and now Im looking for the best settings to get the best views in my fs9. Here comes the n00b-part. I was searching this forums for something and I came across Sweetfx. I had never used this addon and this week I decided to give a try. What a beautiful addon it is!!! I searched for some settings and flew some nice routes. Everything looks very fine but for one thing Im not happy. The edges of my aircraft are not that sharp anymore. I have scenery for Wawa airport and around the end of runway 21 the ground bleeds through the scenery. I think a flatten file will fix this but I don't know how to make one. Can someone explain to me how to make a flatten file for this airport? The scenery can be found here in the library (3_northern_ontario_airports.zip is the file name). The other 2 sceneries in that file work fine.

Hi all, I just bought the P-51D/H package (at http://secure.simmarket.com/a2a-simulations-wings-of-power-p51dh-mustang.phtml) and it won't install. When the installer checks the registry I get this message: "File corruption is found in your FS2004 directory. Please reinstall FS2004 and then install install Wings of Power." To check this is installed the P-47 which I had de-installed some years ago and that installed no problem. I had this problem before when installing updates for Wings of Power Heavy Bombers & Jets but that was solved when I returned some planes from the pack which I had deleted back into the aircraft directory.
