Just how many FS9.cfg files should one person have. I've been wondering why I have three. I would think you should only have one. I didn't put them there. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I guess I need to eyeball all three and hopefully they would all be the same, then I could delete two of them. But, if they are different, which one do I keep? How is a .cfg file built in simple terms? Thanks, Mike

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall FS9 from the Control Panel in Windows 7 64 bit, but I'm not getting the correct menu that pops up. When I click on Uninstall, this is message that comes up: This Program will uninstall WestWind CRJ-200LR from you hard drive. What's the problem? Ken.

I have a copy of Flight Sim 2004 "backed up" on a separate hard drive on my PC, ( in case of emergency ). Well, I had an emergency. Following the PC crash, I rebuilt the operating system, ( Windows XP Pro ), and I reinstalled FS9, and transferred the backed up version to my main hard drive. It works fine, but my Afterburner and Smoke Effects have disappeared. My Textures are all present, and so are the Effects themselves. I think it's some sort of "Gauge" or "Config" problem. Trouble is, it's affecting EVERY aircraft I have, that previously showed the afterburner and smokes effects properly. The same "assignment keys" assigned before, are assigned now. I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, I didnt find it on the forum, but today I found this website http://www.unitedtrafficteam.net/. I never seen it before, but I like what I see, it appears they developed 2 new AI models, which are the SSJ100 and the B737-200, also the big news is that they are working on a new model for the B747-8, I think the passenger version first, cuz thats the one on their main screen. Does anybody know more about them ? I tried to get to the forum, but I had no luck :(

XP3, FS9.1, 3.16 Core2Duo, 4 Gb DDR3 Recently found here info about nVidia Inspector (previously had mixed results with nHancer) and found the settings worked well with my old 8800GTS 512. Unfortunately the card has just died but I was able to replace it with a really cheap 9800 GT 1Gb but cant now find the notes I made for settings. Can someone please take the time to suggest optimum settings? Thanks.

Hello all, Some years ago there was a third party, payware program that allowed you to keep your aircraft files ( gauges, effects, modules, etc.) separate from other aircraft. Now, someone correct me on this because I'm not really sure if all of these files need to be together. The reason I'm asking is I was installing a new freeware aircraft and not saying it was the program but now I keep getting messages such as "soundgauge.dll" is incompatible, or " TCAS v7 " is incompatible with something. Anyway, my memory is shaky on this "program" I'm thinking of, so if anyone remembers such a program,please let me know. Thanks to all, Mike

For some reason, I am getting a bunch of random ships in the area of Aerosoft's awesome Gibraltar scenery. It was fine the last time I used it, which was probably about a month or so ago. I have obviously downloaded something that has dumped these scenery objects in the area. (Cruise ships, large sailboats etc.) They are misplaced, duplicate the shipping that is integral to the scenery and are ruining what was a perfect scenery addon. I have tried the following: Uninstalled and reinstalled the scenery Removed all addon sceneries from the scenery.cfg file except the newly reinstalled Gib scenery Looked for any obvious LXGB or Gibraltar sceneries in the main scenery fold…

I'm still new at ai so pardon if this has been answered or seems obvious. For the past couple of months of my sim flying, i've been flying around europe, since the ai was recent and not too much. But, now i want to fly in the states, so I got a United airlines pack from WOAI (I also got continental b/c i like them separate) but there is no united express pack! I'm planning on doing it manually, but there are sooo many airplanes! I mean, to create fltsim.x, and AC#xxx for hundreds of regs seems a little too much. Is there a way around this?

The thread entitled "I put in FS9 last night after many years" caught my interest and perhaps I should be posting on that thread rather than creating a new one. I currently have FS9, FSX and Flight loaded on my flight sim computer. I mostly fly FSX but would like to give FS9 a boost with some addons. I have a little annoying problem. Every time I start FS new scenery indexes are created and a new database are being built. This happens every time I start FS9 even if no changes in the scenery or anything else has been made. What could that be ?

Hey! I fly FS9 under WIN7... Works fine. I want to modify some texture files of an aircraft, and therefore I need to convert some BMP-files before I can modify same in Photoshop, and afterwards I must convert these back to regular aircraft BMP-files. I've been flying in MS Flight Sims for many years, but only utilizing fixed-wing aircraft. I've recently decided to try something different and start flying helicopters. Unfortunately, my experience has been a little frustrating. The copters that I have are extremely "hard" to fly. I have a yoke and rudder pedals. Are there any helicopters out there that are easier to control than others? Your suggestions and advice would be extremely appreciated. gwillmot

they are QW757, CS757 and PSS757. The CS has the modest price, Amazon still has the DVD edition since I prefer DVD to download. Dear Simmers I'm having difficulties in having the right mix with REX about the horizon at cruising level. These pics are taken at FL 380. As you can see it's not very clear and I used to fly in better conditions however after a clean installation of fs and by changing the sky textures in REX it didn't help me, as whatever I chose the sky horizon is always the same. Also attached you will see my AS Evo visibility settings Any help? Thanks Justin

Hi, I am searching for the ever elusive Yago9 (Lucian Lie) repaints of Pierre Marchadier's GMaxAc Mig-21Bis. It isn't posted up at any of the Flight sim libraries that I checked. Hi guys, i've had the overland airbus aircraft for a while now, not actually used the A330 before, I've just started using it but i seem to be having a fuel problem, I flew AMS-DTW the other day and it seems to burn or get really low on fuel quick.. I was still 1800NM from DTW and when leaving i had 80% of fuel. Is there a known problem with this? Does anyone know how to fix it? Would be very very helpful. Thank you for reading guys.

Hello all,Over the past week, I have finally gotten fed up with FS9 microstutters I've been experiencing for quite some time on my relatively new machine. Setting almost all of my FS settings to minimal and still seeing the same stuttering every 5-10 seconds pushed me over the edge for a full reinstall. After installing the bare bones FS9 and 9.1 patch, no stutters existed; I thought I was off to a good start. With defrags and reboots, I was ready for reinstalling my addons.
