Please check the FS2004 Library where I have posted an updated KPHL.txt SIDSTARS file for PMDG. Filename is KPHL_SIDSTARS.zip; includes:Cycle 0602 PMDG SIDSTAR file by Terry Yingling revised 3/15/2006 by Dan Downs for KPHL Philadelphia Intl.Revisions include the PHL7 SID and BOJID1 (RNAV) STAR procedures not included in the original. All STARS and IAPs for ILS9L/9R and ILS27L/27R have had constraints adjusted to match current charts. Two RNAV STARS (BOJID1 and SPUDS1) have been expanded to include routing for either East or West approaches, which are accessed by selecting, for example, BOJID1.EAST for ILS9L/9R or SPUDS1.WEST for ILS27L/27R, etc.Any feedback is appreciated..…

DAFIF Cycle 0602 still contains the old RNV19 approach, which was replaced by the FAA 9/1/05 with a new RNP approach (Required Navigational Performance) for Rwy19. The old approach chart is no longer available.I have constructed a PMDG format approach using fix coordinates from the current FAA LID reference (i.e., offical coordinates). Because the language lacks any kind of ARINC RF leg (radius to fix) definition, I built the arcs using your procedures for DME arcs where required.I have flown at least a dozen test flights with the PMDG737-700 on all transitions and have found that although RNP 0.11 (0.11 nm max track error) is not simulated that the flights are reasonably…

in updating some of the existing s/s's, i notice that often someone has added fixes to the end of what appears to be the original sorted list. they are "colocated" fixes, so i assume they tacked them to the end because the parent fix must be defined first (according to the manual). everything seems to work ok, so i guess my question is- does it matter now or will it matter down the road if the fixes are not sorted (other than it is much easier for me to work with a sorted list)?thanks, sal

Hi Terry,Here is a file which I created for the ZSPD airport (Shanghai Pudong)But I have a problem with creating some fixes which do not have LATLON on the charts or COLOCATED with a VOR or something like that.I give you the two charts that are required to create those two waypoints.Do not look at the syntax errors, if you spot some. I still have to correct them myself.Just look at the FIXES who are still blanc of LATLON/COLOCATED.Then just look into the approaches and y'll see.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143501.zipthe charts you need are ZSPD-5A and ZSPD-5D and are found over here:http://wallentins.com/IVAO/CHARTS/China/CHINA.zip

Any clue what's up with KCMI? The airport has a long 8000' runway called 32L/14R, and it is served by an ILS (to 32L) and other approaches. The "runway" 32R/14L is actually a small taxiway with runway numbers on it that isn't used. (It used to be used for light aircraft doing flight training.) But the lastest navdata shows 32R/14L as being the long runway, with published approaches to it. This must be some sort of DAFIF mistake, unless it's me who's mistaken. Any input? Thanks.---Will

Hi Terry,Due to the delay in publishing until possibly AIRAC 0603 on the NavData.at site, I find I have a mismatch between the presently available and loaded AIRAC - 0513 - and your latest Terminal Procedures file - 0601 - for my PMDG aircraft. Is there anywhere where I can download the previous Terminal Procedures file, presumably also 0513 or will the latest file be compatible with AIRAC 0513?I have to say that, along with many others, I am much beholden to you for the marvellous work that you do for all of us. My heartfelt thanks.

UK AIS does not have it (Mount Pleasant- (Port) Stanley, Falkland Islands)It's supposedly a joint use field (RAF built it after the Falklnds war) But there's no charts that I can find either with DAFIF or UK AIS.There's also no runway data for FHAW (Ascension Island) for the PSS 744. I can live with that though, I'm looking at relatively obscure airports. Until yesterday I didi not even know that there was a Mount Pleasant airport near Port Stanley! (really bad RAF duty BTW) there are only 4 Torando's, a VC10 and C130 based there. Scheduled flights from Brize Norton on Air Atlanta (MOD Charter) via Ascension. sometimes they get an RAF L1011 as well.Ascension is served by …

Hi Terry,There appears to be a bug in the cycle 0512 (and maybe earlier?) CYVR STARs file for the Flight One ATR-72. FS9 crashes after entering CYVR as either the destination or the departure airport into the FMC. Renaming the CYVR.txt file in the NavData/STAR folder seems to prevent the FS9 crash. Thanks,Don S.

I just came across what appears to be an error in the CHINS5 STAR data for KSEA. The KSEA terminal procedures file has the waypoint SNOMY after RADDY, while the current chart lists HUMPP N47 degrees 12.56' W121 degrees 48.61' after RADDY. (SNOMY does not appear on the current chart.) This error has been in the terminal procedures file since at least cycle 0509.I do happen to have an old CHINS2 arrival chart that uses SNOMY rather than HUMPP. I don't know when the change to use HUMPP was made.Don S.

The lastest navdata for PMDG has the new runway layout for LEMH whereby runways 01/19 have been deleted and 2 runways have been added RW01L, RW01R, RW19L and RW19R. PMDG's FMC will not accept LEMH as a destination. I followed the directions of updating the navdata but the FMC displays the error LEMH err: 01 rwy unknown.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hi all. I wish to announce a program that I have developed, a universal terminal procedures editor. It is a fill-in-the-blanks program for the design of SIDs, STARs and IAPs, collectively known as Terminal Procedures. I call it universal because it's output, a file that will be emailed to me, will be in the database format I use to make procedures for the PMDG 747, the PMDG 737, the LDS 767-300, the PSS A320 Pro, the PSS 747, the PSS 777, the PSS Dash 8, the Aviograsf A340, the Flight 1 ATR 72-500, the FeelThere ERJ 145, the Wilco CRJ and the Wilco 767 PIC. So, for example, by making one SID with the program it will be translated into the formats required by the above ele…

Howdy. In the readme for PSS Insert 1.2, you mention the fix for the KBAF error. I was wondering what editor should I use to open the file, can you recommend a freeware one? And is it necessary to perform that fix if I don't use that airport, or will its existance cause further errors when I run PSS Insert? Thanks.-Dave

SOLUTION TO PROBLEM STATED BELOW THIS FIX:Recently, the runway numbering at CYHZ has changed. This change has been added to the Runway navdata file.HOWEVER! The changes have not been made in the pssstar.dat file.As a result, the FMC will NOT find ANY stars for Halifax International. All the runway headings will need to be changed in pssstar.dat in order for the FMC to list the stars.ALL runway numbers for CYHZ have changed by X(-1).New Runways:Runway 06 now 05Runway 33 now 32Runway 15 now 14Runway 24 now 23This will fix the issue. Also applies to Toronto (CYYZ) where some runway numbers have changed.======================================================================Hello…

I've updated the KDCA file to include the new RNAV(RNP) 19 approach, as well as put the shorter runways back in, since they are used for departure and landings by 737s at light weights. I've also renamed a couple of approaches so that they match the chart names a little better (DCA has two different localizers for runway 19, neither aligned with the runway. One has a GS and the other doesn't.)The RNP approach is quite fun to fly in LNAV/VNAV (VNAV PTH, please!) mode, as it takes you down the river and keeps you out of trouble with the P areas to the north. It's by far the easiest way to fly into RWY 19. The trick to flying this approach well is to manage the speed manu…

Running Windows XP SP2, FS 9.1 . . .I have PSS Insert in my PSSNavdata folder as per instructions. Origbackup and Import folders are created. The latest 0511 download I just got from http://planepath.com/ and placed the two downloaded PSS files from the zip into the Imports folder. Now here is the problem . . . .Upon opening PSS Insert I click the button to insert new procedures into the ORIGINAL PSS procedures (that is what the readme specifically says to do).Almost immediately, two files are created -- PSSSID.dat.bak and PSSSTAR.dat.bak -- okay so I understand these are backups . . . no problem there. The problem is my regular PSSsis and PSSstar files are not created. …
