  5. I thought I'd try something a bit different, and after staring at the same old boring user interface, I thought a fresh new look would be refreshing. So I started tinkering with some different metal/aluminum designs. One thing that kind of made it difficult to do as I wanted to do, is that the font color cannot be changed, so you might notice some of the text is hard to read. But overall, I am happy with my results. This is no way a "perfect" job, but it beats looking at the same bland default look. Also, I tried my best to make this as dark as possible for those who fly with the lights in the room off at night, or have light sensitive eyes such as mine.A few other things…

  7. Hi all, Can you please explain to me why aircrafts pitch up as thrust is increased? As you all know, at level flight, when thrust is increased, the aircraft piches up and starts climbing at an increasing speed.Precisely, I would like to understand where does the pitching moment come from, because even when I locate the engines at (0,0,0) and cg at (0,0,0) ( reference being also (0,0,0)), the pitching up occurs at thrust increase. Moreover, I notice that all the aerodynamic equations dealing with longitudinal stability and neutral point I have seen, do not refer to any pitching moment due thrust or drag. Thank you very much.

Hi there, Does anyone have a contact for the developers at the Vans Aircraft Company, formerly found athttp://www.vansairco.com..? I have an email address <support[AT]vansairco.com> but I assume that this is not going to work since the site has clearly gone...! They made a product Boeing 717-200 "The Last Legacy" which contains a very reasonable 2D panel for that arcraft (the model and FDE are not as good as other offerings - eg HJG) and I would be interested to ask the developer for permission to release a 'patch' for their product, which I have made for my own use - basically I have finished the job that they had started by adding many systems that were not origin…

  13. Hi everyone, I have a problem with Wilco's Cessna Citation X in fs2004. After landing at LFPB, EGLL, KJFK, KSMO, EDDF airports, parking at the red carpet, shut down the motor, open the door, and set the NAV 2 to 117.50 Mhz. as mentioned in the manual. The v.i.p. welcome service cars start to come to the aircraft, but after when start to come, jump back into the original position. So, it doesn't come to the aircraft. In FSX works well. What can be the problem in Fs9? Help me please. Waiting for replies. Thanks.

I am in the middle of trying to build an interface for my flight sim (fs2004). Just learning the basic about talking to flight sim via a dll i made in the modules folder, compiled with visual c++ 2008 express, all compiles good. It crashes when i try to read a simple variable. If anyone can steer in the right direction as to why it crashes that would be great. i have been reading for hours and try many different ways of doing this basic task (reading pressure millibars). Here is the code: Basically after i call lookup_var it crashes. #include <windows.h> #include "gauges.h" /* This is the module's import table. */ \ GAUGESIMPORT ImportTable = \ { \ { 0x00…

Guys,I have downloaded an add on Falcon 10. Great model. I have changed the flaps to work correctly as I have experience in the actual aircraft and I hold an actual type rating for the DA-10. When it comes to lights, I cannot change the lights :( . I have read the SDK, or most of it, and I'd like to start modelling myself. To this endevor I thought I'd start changing existing aircraft (for my own purposes) to see how it all works. Here is the original [lights] file that came with the add on....[lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.0 = 3, -43.17, -21.12, -0.06, fx_navredlight.1 = 3, -43.13, 21.09, -0.06, fx_navgreHere is the the …

Hello All,I am new to the forum scene, but have come across a few add-ons for FS2004 that allow music and movies to be played in flight sim. I started thinking why can't this be expanded to allow more. Although Computer programing is not one of my strong points, I would like to have a kick at the can with this project. I am thinking something that looked and worked like an IPOD that would allow you to access your DVD-ROM, Music Files, Video Files, Internet and email. I am looking for suggestions on how to achieve this feature and am open to anyones comments on how to do it, if it can be done and how to bridge the gap between fsx and your computer. Thanks Greg

Hi all. Just a quick question. Where would I be able to get in contact with some really good developers? Being retired now, Im in a position to perhaps fund a new company which will hopefully produce high quality (and I mean PMDG Level) AIRBUS aircraft. Depending on what developers I hear of and end up travelling to visit, this may or may not happen. But I see a real need for high quality airbus aircraft and now could be my time to make it happen.
