G'day All A question and a request. What criteria are scenery developers (Pay-ware) looking at when preparing to undertake a new aerodrome scenery project keeping in mind the virtue of supply and demand? I ask this because I see numerous airport/aerodrome sceneries out there that the majority of simmers just wouldn't be interested in (my opinion only!). What would it take for a developer to consider a new airport scenery project? As an Aussie, I like to do a fair bit of domestic stuff (with the odd long haul, love the Queen) but, disappointingly, four of our capital city airports have never been looked at in terms of 'add-ons' - these being Perth (YPPH), Darwin …

FSActiveFires recently stopped downloading fire information. I believe link embedded inside of the program is somewhere else. I wonder if anybody knows how to fix it. Happy landings mike

Since blender doesn't feel like exporting any .mdl files through BlenderP3D, I just decided to avoid the trouble and convert my .x file to .mdl through MCX and I seem to have run into an issue where it fails to locate ModelDef.xml in my SDK, and when I go to options I can't give the program a path to find my ModelDef.xml with because the option simply is not there. Hi, I used 1024x1024px textures to create a photoreal polygon to get the highest quality as possible near the runway. Underneath I've created a photoreal with Sbuilder, with the resample process. Everything is great, except when the sunrise or sunset time approaches. The 1024px textures get much darker than the resampled. Here's an example: The green area was made with Gmax, with 1024x1024 tiles. The red area is satellite image I got with Sbuilder. Why do they have different colors sometimes during the day? I've been reading into the P3D SDK and came across a section called Triangle Counts. What I can gather from what exactly they are is the resolution of the object, maybe if you had a circle and reduced the LOD/Triangle Count to its most simple form, it would be a triangle. I don't know really, it was just a guess. But are there different LODs for different objects? It says "Generally speaking, LOD 35 and up will have animations while LOD 15 and below will not." I don't know how level of detail relates to animation, is it referring to switches, control surfaces, etc? And I heard somewhere about different layers of LOD as well and am a bit confused by that. I have FSX I have loads of ADD on I have Traffic 360 on my computer working Great And then I load Ai and never saw Military Aircraft Again the only thing I can do now is Fly the aircraft in 360 Hanger nothing else works. Any help out there

I was messing with ADE yesterday,looks like ADE won't allow you add or change terrian in enviroment? How would I go if say I want to make an Island in the ocean with my own terrian data and mesh? I was thinking use 3D Software and somehow can convert it to BGL? I have really no idea where to start with this, sure some comerical develope group has done this before. Any clues ?

So this is FSToolkit a FREE all-in-one for FSX, P3D and eventually Xplane. Its early days, only been developing for about 4-5 days tops. I'm now close to getting an alpha into the wild and could do with some thoughts and ideas on where to take it next. It will be open sourced in the near future. It uses FSUIPC and XPUIPC. Having had a gamepad with only vibration effects, I found that fsx doesnt allow you to set the force feedback levels. The driver that came along with the gamepad also didnt support any level setting. This was unplayable as it kept vibrating at max rate all the time. I have created a somconnect addon that creates the vibration effect based on the following : (developed for Airbus A321 , should also do well with Boeing's ) {Not sure fsx looks into these states for ff calculation } 1. Hi Guys Not sure if right section for this post so sorry if not. I am wondering if there is anything out there that can notify ( iPhone or iPad ) when you get a contact me or message from vpilot. Now i know on vatsim they prefer you to stay in front of your flight deck the whole time, just in case a controller does comes online. But if you were on a long flight & just being around the house within WiFi distance is there anything out there??. I thought maybe using a remote app on iPhone to connect to my vpilot PC , i could then see if i get a message, but didn't work very well. Anyone have any thoughts ? Cheers Riche.

Hey guy, I have checked all my exe.xml files and the paths to my Ezdok. Everything is in place. I had to do a full reinstall and it still does not work. My problem is, when I right click the Ezdok.exe, file nothing happens usually. It says not responding. If it does by chance work then it still doesn't initiate/work when my simulator is on. This just started yesterday out of nowhere. Please help me. Thanks in advance!! Note it was working day before yesterday!! My specs: i7, Windows 10 GTX 970/ P3d V3.2/ A ton of addons.

Hello, fellow developers. Although I live in Vancouver, I was born in Beijing. I just cannot stand doing a long haul flight only to end up in bad default scenery. I know VatSim PRC division has a good Beijing scenery, it doesn't have custom ground poly. My question is, because I don't have enough experience to start modelling the terminals, can someone join me and make the terminals and I'll take care of ground poly and hangars? It would be great if I can create a team to make a truly realistic Beijing Capital for all the fellow simmers.

Is anyone really good at doing repaints that would like a challenge? I have the Alabeo/Carenado Cardnial C177RG. I would just LOVE a fancy and splashy repaint of whit with red fancy stripes with a Arizona Cardinals 'bird' logo on the tail. Furthermore the tail # should be N10435. That is the tail number of my Cessna but no Cardinals paint job. It is just a dream paint job that I think would be great and perfect for the Alabeo/Carendao Cardinal RG. I am not good with paint shop. I wonder if there are any takers.

Hello all! I have recently added a utitlity for calculating the landing performance of the PMDG NGX 800 and 900. It determines the lowest autobrake setting to use for a safe landing, by caluclating what runway length is required. It works for every airport, just input the airport name and it will begin to work instantly. The proccess is instant. Its in the Avsim Library now, just search LACTO. Regards, Oliver M

Alaska Power Project is officially OPEN! The Alaska Power Project is now ready for download and usage. The location set includes 16 real and proposed hydroelectric plants. Each location has two parts, the upper reservoir area and the lower plant/outfall area. We have placed these exactly where they are already operating or are proposed (under construction). So the realism is true for all of them. Each has a minimum of two and sometimes four helipads at different levels based on the plant's configuration. Hello all; Digging the H500 that was redone for FSX (on sim-outhouse - works in DX10!). The start up system has you flip a switch to L or R engine, and push the start button. Its simular to the D18S panel created by Vladimir Gonchar. Anyway, nothing happens (except clicking sound gauge "Cockpit Sounds", ticking away), until you move the engine select to center. It'll fire up the engine then, The Ideal starter set up would act like the starter for the Cali Classics Super Connie. select engine, prime, crack throttle/Mix Full Rich, HOLD start button until start (prop spins).
