Add On Developer's Forum

Hi. I had an idea for a add-on for FS, but it requires the ability to know what ATC is doing in regards to what it expects from the user. After talking to Pete Dawson on his forum, he has not found any way to do this and has basically given up until MS decides to open up the ATC via an SDK.Anyone have any ideas? The only thing I could think of would be to get a window handle to the ATC window and read the text in there. However, there are other problems, like if you send the keystrokes to FS to select an ATC option, how does the program know that it worked and that no one else "AI" was talking to ATC at the same time? Yes, we have a/c, painters, scenery and mesh forums, but we see this forum as being for add-on's that don't fall into those categories. For me, developing AFCADs is a ton of fun. But I feel that I don't get any recognition and so I look forward to the day when I see a thread that says: 'this is a great airport, thanks Ken!' It will probably never happen, but for those of you who develop have you received any recognition for your work and if so, what? I'm interested in seeing the results of this minor survey. Hi all,thanks to Tom for this new place to share ideas about possible addons.I will start the discussion with some ideas.1. I think about a addon which will simulate 'Weather phenomen' like the old 'Air File Pro' of Lago did. The addon should simulate turbulence, jet stream and Thermal weather effects.
