I have noticed alot of aircraft, such as lears and boeings, etc etc, that have landing lights that flash. The lights are nice, and look good in my opinion. They simply just flash when turned on. Left flashes then dims out as the Right comes on, then the same with the left. :-rollIs their a way that this can be simulated in FS? Hello,I have a question for anybody out there who has any information to offer. I figured I would just throw this idea out, Im not sure if it is possible to do, but here goes.For a while I have been thinking of creating a program. Or maybe not a program, maybe a special gauge, or a "trainer", or whatever. What if this program could automatically use the VC from one aircraft with the exterior model of another one. It really cant be THAT hard to do, can it? I am thinking that when in spot view, you could use the aircraft model that you think has a great exterior model, but lacks a VC. But then, when you change the view to Virtual Cockpit, this program could kick in, and cha…

Hi,I just downloaded the new erj usa "cferj.zip" and when I went to select an aircraft in FS9 it came back with an error stating that it could not use the erj gauges file. Furthermore, the error message cannot be remove from the screen. I have to reboot everytime it comes up. Any suggestions from the experts!!!ThanksPhillyflyer

I installed additional weather and cloud patterns that were available on Avsim, (author ??). When going to the Weather menu and selecting cirrus, I have a number of large white squares in the sky. I have no idea what files that are either missing or corrupted. Or possibly another problem. The textures that are there are great but it looks like a checkerboard. I am working on a project converting one of the planes (in our flight simulator) to FS9. All the visual is converted now. However, we have our own flight dynamics code for this aircraft which models more than a few things the FS engine doesn't handle. So, my question is. Is there a way to supply our own flight dynamic code for this plane in a form of a dll to FS9 just for this plane? If there is a way, is there any public information to go about doing this? I know this has been done many times for planes in CFS2 and CFS3, and at least once for FS9. Thnx.

Hi,I was wondering if anyone could design an effect where the nav light or strobe lights on the plane illuminate or reflect off of the ground at night time..................it is possible because the developers from the ariane 737 did it but i dont own that plane so if anone could do that it would be great...for the PMDG 737 :) Thank you Tyler

Hi. I'm not actually a developer but I do panel work and I've been frusterated by the lack of a peice of avionics that is extremely common in the real world. I am refering to the KLN-90 gps. Now, I know Ick Slack has created a kln-90 gauge but its not complete. all it does is readout the gps data and act as a panel icon which opens the default gps through the go2 button for data entry. what I would love to see is a stand alone KLN-90 that would actually be the default gps repackaged in a KLN-90 bitmap. I know such programing can be done as the default gps was already made to look like an apollo MX-20. How hard would it be to do the same thing but make it resemble t…

Is there a specification as to how to decode a BGL?The SDK-information seems mostly to relate to the issue of creating them, which I don't have a problem with. I also know there are tools out there that help me analyze a BGL, but for various reasons I would like to have a better understanding how exactly that analyzing/decoding is done.Is there a recommended resource(s) for that?

Hi fellows! :-scatterI need your help.Since an hour I've tried to figure why the AFCAD of some scenery does not work. All scenery (except some) are working perfectly. Even if I remove the BGL of the scenery who does not work properly; nothing change. The scenery appear properly but not the planes. I've followed carefully every steps. It's not the first time I install add-on. Do the installation of the AFCAD need a device like Lee's Swordy "AFCAD intaller" ? First - GREAT forum! Really fits the bill for many, I think.Now my question: is there a way to retrieve aircraft location (using FSUIPC or some other way) when on the ground as an ICAO identifier, rather than LAT/LON? I've got an idea for an app that needs to know what airport the plane is at, what airport it's going to, and when it arrives. Hey guys!I'm currently tinkering around with a c module and I've got almost everything I need, the only thing thats missing is this: How the heck can I *set* the fuel tank contents and the payload weights? I'm not using fsuipc since i want this module to be independent. I can already read those variables via aircraft_varget, as defined in gauges.h from the panels sdk, but there is no aircraft_varset. Hi to all planes designer.I'm the guy who started the 'MA-Traffic' project, a program which will generate military traffic.For this type of program we need a STARTUP package for military planes. So I ask if YOU could make a package which contains different types of military planes and if possible some military AFCADs as well.I know that most planes made by different people, but maybe you have the time to write to the developers and ask them if they agree to put there planes to a package? Come on, freeware software need help from everyone.
