Hi folks,after more than 4 months of FSX absence, I´m back in business again! Wasn´t able to use FSX cause of an activation problem but this could be solved with help of some guys here. So now I´m rebuilding my FSX and have brought you a few early shots with the superb Carenado C337 Skymaster flying from Watts Bridge (YWSG) to Boonah (YBOA). Hi! Thought I'd try to post a few pics from a more home-based flight from London Gatwick to Dublin in Ireland at night leaving Gatwick at 9pm. The flight is with Ryanair. Cruise altitude was 30,000ft. for the roughly 1 hour flight length. Hope they weren't too dark! Many thanks for looking. P.

Firstly, this is my first post within this part of the AVSIM forum, as my other posts have been regarding what system i should build to get the best out of FSX. My aim is to begin flying only main routes (the JFK - LAX, LHW - HKG etc...) This is because the scenery available for the 'big' airports is excellent. (I haven't found any for LAX yet though?) So as a test on my 2 year old alienware laptop (Intel i3 @ 2.13ghz, 3gb RAM and a 240m GPU) i have installed FSX deluxe, bought acceleration, UTX, REX and GEX as well as Nice (LFMN) from Aerosofts online shop (amazing detail, along with all the UK2000 stuff!) I don't think there's too many rotor heads here, but it's not every day you get a new non-combat flight sim, right? This is in Beta, heading for a release late this month. Generally, when everything comes together its' a beautiful-looking sim and very screenshot friendly. However, the satellite terrain texture resolution is a bit low, and I'm not thrilled with the color of the terrain (a bit yellow-green overall, as if it's been filtered or hand colored). However, lighting, clouds, water, and the helicopters themselves look great. I can't imagine placing all of these 3d objects in a 60x60 mile area.
