The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Still discovering the sweet spots -- here's one of them -- in FranceVFR's Rhone-Alpes Vol. 1. Now I guess I'll have to grab the Chambery airport enhancement to add some autogen etc on final approach. John

One of the joys of FSX is being able to try things that would most probably get you killed (permanently) in Real Life. The other joy is trying something that would get you arrested or your ticket pulled. The downtown LA scenery is so good that after a few orbits around the skyscrapers I was ready to try something that would have accomplished all three of the above. To be truthful, I was killed the first two tries, but after I nailed the slow speed threshold just above the stall, I made a nice landing on the third try. I did have keep full back pressure and stomp the brakes to keep from running off the edge of Parker Center but it worked. Next time, maybe the…

So I decided to look up the top 10 busiest airports in the US, on Wikipedia and decided to fly into and out of each one on a tour of America. I landed at Boston (not in the top 10) from Gatwick on a 747 yesterday and started to plan my tour. Im not going in the order of busiest but more of a circle around the country as the airports have panned out. First leg was 181NM KBOS to KJFK listed as the 6th busiest in the US. Into Rwy 31L. Thanks for looking. Steve.

OK, clearly I have been missing out for a couple of years. I used to avoid the Eaglesoft Citation X because I thought it was the one my friend had, and it didn't look/feel that impressive. But as I was looking for a nice business jet to fill my hangar, I found out that that was the Wilco version. So I ended up with the Eaglesoft Citation X rendition... Beautiful jet, great systems simulation. Even though it's dated by current VC standards, it's still quite decent. Here are some shots of my first flight, from Amsterdam to Zurich. Despite it's systems depth, I decided to just jump in and go without checking the manual. Ended up pretty well. Some minor niggles with the F…

Another Carenado bird, enjoying the Kansas farmland and endless green pastures... A pilot who really inspired me to take an interest in aerial photography in real life, was Bill Garnett. He specialized in aerial photography and was published in several magazines. I had the rare opportunity to fly with Bill while I was living in Napa, California in the 80's. I flew with him a few times in his polished Cessna 170 and took pictures, and subjected my photography to his skilled eye. I was told he never took up passengers, but I was an exception, along with a friend of mine. Bill could see in our eyes our love of aviation and flight. My first time touching the controls o…

This part of the country doesn't get much attention in the forums, thought I'd share some shots on a flight I took today. This scenery reminds me of the patchwork quilt of farmland in England. The scenery was generated by Tileproxy, hope you enjoy the pictures! John
