The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This will be the last set of Colorado pics I preview before releasing to the community. I plan on working my project west into Utah, Nevada and finally part of California over the next few weeks...... I can understand why members here have asked for Colorado--the beauty flying over the Rockies is breathtaking.... I have not applied any color correction in the generation of this scenery using FSEarthtiles--used all the recommended defaults. The scenery continues to generate even as I post these screenies... Enjoy John

Hi, My Colorado project is halfway complete. I thought I'd share another set of this upcoming freeware release for FSX... The project should be finished before the end of the month. The pictures are from around Fort Collins, Denver, Boulder and the Rockies to the west. Best Regards, John

Hey guys, I received a new monitor, and everything went from there. I am completely immersed in the experience. Here are some shots of my sim with new lighting effects etc. Hope you enjoyed! They're all unedited, but resized.

I possibly still have a slight soft spot for photoscenery... That's the ORBX Lancair there. Sweet little plane, from what I've experienced so far.

Flying the Mirage, taking some pretty pictures along the way. I created the Photoreal Scenery using FSEarthTiles.... Once I have the whole state covered, I will release the project to the library. It's been a bit of trial and error as I learned features of FSEarthTiles and how to compress the scenery so it doesn't whack the hard drive, but the result is just beautiful for VFR enthusiasts. It brings FSX to a whole new level. I use a separate hard drive for generating the scenery so I can fly FSX while the new scenery is being created. And the bonus is everything you see here can be done for FS2004 as well--I have created one .ini file for FSEarthtiles and document…
