The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I have used FS since FS 5.1 and, more recently, Prepar3D, almost exclusively. As mostly an airliner flyer, I was always a bit skeptical of X-Plane. Nonetheless, after the release of the Flight Factor 767 (my most beloved airplane model), I have decided to bite the bullet and ended up buying X-Plane one month ago during a Steam sale. Well, four weeks later I must say that I am barely touching my P3D V3 with all the thousands of euros I have spent on addons for it. I cannot say that much about the flight modelling, even though I am liking it very much, but the atmospheric effects, the lightning and the environment of X-Plane just compels me to keep coming back! I wont ab…

FDX1010(VVNB-VQPR) has the Panda on a freight haul to Paro Airport out of Hanoi. With VQPR's airport elevation and runway length I limited my cargo load to about 103,000lbs. I thought Aivlasoft EFB was going to be of help as finding Paro can be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I was distracted too much by the TERRAIN TERRAIN, PULL UP warnings B) Once clear of the 12,000ft tops, I followed the river valley to runway 33 with full flaps and gear down well in advance for the steep descent. Although I haven't landed in Toncontin (MHTG) in a couple months, Paro has it beat. I wonder if the runway 15 approach could be any more fun

Some pics from user Ryan10427 on the Outerra forum. I think they need to be seen! The Earth as depicted by Outerra. (Click to see full size) Interestingly, these pictures are older, but still show amazing detail. When the Elevation update goes live, the topography will become even more detailed.

Yep... actually I had only that option as checked....., but (for the reader's benefit), I DID have all U.T. lights ON for those roads that were not checked as 'on'....., thinking they would 'add' …

I have been using this package for the last two days...and I have to say...the night autogen lights Sascha has devised, comes the closest, if not almost parallel, to the wonderful night sequences of the XP franchise. Here are some shots (turn your monitor contrast/brightness to what you need to see them clearly. Shots taken just west of Toronto Pearson Airport, Ontario, Canada Road vector is U.T. I tried to take two shots of the same capture. 1. the more colored display (as per just EVO2015) 2...and then using enbseries to bring the color saturation down to what you'd see in an XPlane night. It works... EVO2015 totally transforms night flying wi…

Navid's Sky texture set 2016 was released yesterday in this fsdeveloper thread: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/navids-sky-texture-set-2016.436022/ Definitely worth a look IMHO, so far I've just flown a couple flights with them in P3D v3 but I'm really liking these!

Air Canada and Air Transat are currently operating charter flights from Jordan to Canada (Montreal & Toronto) as part of the effort to bring Syrian refugees to Canada. I thought this would be a good chance to do an uncommon real world flight and virtually do a good deed. My flight was Air Canada 2199, OJAM-CYYZ. This was flown by a 787-900 in real life, but since I don't have one of those, the PMDG 777-200LR was a nice stand-in. On the tarmac at OJAM ready to board our passengers: Doors closed ready to go! Taxiing to runway 24 for departure Cleared for takeoff! V1, rotate The visibility is not great clim…

Ah, the Southern Summer! While it's cold and humid in Europe, our hobby gives us the opportunity to enjoy warm and bright days at the other side of the world - I came to Chile with my DC-6 - and memories of a real world trip there...
