The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

YEAH! I made it, I became an early adopter! ;-) And after a little glitch during the install process (caused by a WIN Auto update setting), everything went flawlessly! I made 2 short test patterns around EDDK in DX9, but performance was quite bad (12-20 fps in the VC), and VAS usage was huge (I got the FSUIPC low VAS dings just before touchdown of my 20 min race track flight). FSL said, and even the installer advises you, that the DX10 mode, using Steve´s fixer, is the way better mode, performace and VAS wise. So, I ran the DX10 fixer, made the usual settings, and did the base training pattern again. This time, VAS usage was still high (950 meg left upon touchdown), …

Companion to my XP10 thread. I use both sims about the same. This gives you an idea of the graphical differences at lower levels. P3D handles distant terrain and horizons much, much better. But you can't beat the XP10 lighting and how they manage autogen (vs. a hard cut off like P3D). Scenery is OpenLC NA, Orbx Global, and Active Sky Next. Airport is a freeware AFCAD.

Hazy, rainy departure from KABQ at sunset. Scenery is default + W2XP (not custom, just the general single download for the US on their site) + HDv3 Mesh, all freeware. Airport is a gateway airport added a few versions ago. Real Terra Haze settings are MisterX's. You can nab them off his youtube channel.

This trip was loosely (very loosely!) based on a report of an EMERCOM IL-76 mission. The plane delivered 40 tons of supplies to Simferopol (I believe the max.payload is 100000 lb - 50 tons). The return trip flew 52 refugees to Voronezh. http://www.airmedandrescue.com/story/russia-flies-ukrainian-refugees876 This is the return trip. The tough transport plane is ready. Waiting for passengers. Taxying out. Getting her cleaned up. Goodbye Simferopol (need to get FTX Vectors or something to sort out airfield elevations! :( ) Approaching the Sea of Azov. Descending towards Voronezh. Visual for RWY12. A little high... however…

Just a few shots of my latest acquisition. Love the cloud haze in front of the Moon, but I need to investigate fixing those wingtip trails! Diesel power! Plenty of glazing to let the sunlight in. Thanks for viewing.
