The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I knew that once the Do-228 was out, Lukla had to be one of the logical destinations. The landing strip is built on the steep incline of a hillside. Its length is 527m, width 20m and the runway inclines an amazing 12 percent. No landing aids are available! Landing in Lukla leaves no room for errors. As a pilot you have to throw your propellers into hard reverse before you touch down, if you don’t want to end in the wall at the end of the runway. There is a big hill right behind the landing strip. The pilot also needs to clear a high ridge, bank left. Descend steeply, straighten your plane and try to land. Navigation is by sight only. …

One fine day, the police paid a visit to Bowland Forest Gliding Club. They were on a training flight, but had the opportunity to use it as a bit of PR and warn us of criminal activity in the area. Apparently a couple of nefarious aviating brothers had turned their sights on stolen gliders; Norville and Dilbur Rong were believed to be at large in the north west of England. On approach, checking out the local prevailing winds. The scenery for the clubhouse, glider trailers, caravans and hangar area is quite accurate, as is the hedgerows bordering the airfield. Dear fellow simmers, This is how Key West looks with Global and Vector at daytime (today, 2PM). I saw great dusk shots of Florida in this forum but if someone would be so kind to show me how Open LC NA transform the keys at daytime I'd be very grateful. Thanks Hans

Until recently I had rarely flown the Embraer E170. Not for any good reason I had just simply overlooked it. With this in mind I set about several flights during August initially planning to use the Wilco / Feel There aircraft. However as this product has problems operating within Windows 10 I took a closer look at the Dreamwing E170 which itself is quite a old product but being less complicated than it's payware cousin suited my needs. (Just need to find a decent panel to got with it.) So here you go...a few shots of the E170 flying around Europe... Tail cam heading into Humberside (EGNJ) All good for the approach. Nice detail on the…

Just sharing some images of my flight from KDEN - KSEA. I regret not taking photos leaving Denver as I climbed right through a a pretty gnarly storm. I just purchased AS2016 and ASCA for P3D and am quite happy with the results. All shots are on my descent into Seattle.

But this time with a different kind of aircraft…or shall I better say: flying boat. Because where we plan to go today, there aren’t too many places to land. The plane is a Lohner Type “R”, which was used during WWI as photo-reconnaissance plane. It was designed and built in Austro-Hungary and came equipped with a 100hp Mercedes engine. It offered space for two to three people, had a max take-off weight of 1,040 kg and could achieve a top speed of 100 km/h. I can imagine that being almost fully exposed to the elements, nobody had the desire to fly any faster in this thing. Here is a photo of the plane from around 1920 And here at a beach somewhere in Samoa in Sep…
