The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Excerpt from venturasky.com: "Ventura Sky is a free add-on to modify atmosphere rendering in X-Plane 10.50 by Laminar Research, addressing some of the most criticized aspects of X-Plane’s visuals and weather depiction. It exclusively works with real weather provided by the NOAA weather plug-in by Joan Perez i Cauhé. The main features are smooth shifts between live METAR visibility values, a visibility limit catering to aesthetics and performance as well as a color calibrated atmosphere with improved and dynamic atmospheric effects. All that in a hassle and configuration free package: a FlyWithLua script and a sky color set, drop the files in place and get flying insta…

After reading about some of FSX's spectacular places and various glitches I thought I'd head over to S28 - International Peace Garden Airport, North Dakota, USA, to have a look at the "Mother" of them all; The Hole. For those wondering it's a Terrain Mesh Glitch in the FSX code - there are quite a few of these types of glitches and errors dotted around all over the World including runways under water, huge spiky columns of rock extending upwards to 18000 feet, big holes in the gound, as well as the more mundane trees on runways, etc - some people get mad about them but I think they make FSX more interesting. I can understand how a major glitch like this would ruin you…

This is actually kind of funny. I have always flown Boeings (blame PMDG ), so it's a whole new world and a new fantastic point of view for me now... I'm still struggling with throttle detents and stuff like that, but I'm learning (and sending a lot of A320s for repairs in the meantime). So here's some screenshots of several flights I did in the last few days... and kudos for Flight Sim Labs -- it was worth the wait! Hope you like it. Thanks for viewing! PS: Yeah, don't mind the A/THR off in the first shot...

I thought to run ASN right now...and loaded up FSX/DX10/Steve's Fixer ...out of Ketchikan, Alaska Pre-Dawn; I dropped my jaw upon the computer desk, to see these visuals, cloud and mist upon the mountain tops...the lighting...the cloud cover into the distance over the Sound. This, in my opinion has got to be the most beautiful and ethereal screen scene, I have ever had the pleasure to grab. Wow...and amazing, no matter WHAT platform I have... ------------------------------------------------------ Wanted to share the beauty of it...
