The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

A few shots of my new Carenado Malibu Mirage. Easily my favorite civilian piston single of all time. Carenado has a done a fabulous job on this aircraft and has as good an airfile as I've flown in FS. She fly's fast, high and far and looks great doing it! I regret waiting so long to get it and she's now my 'go to' bird criss crossing the scenic Southwestern US- that is until Carenado release their new Cheyenne they announced earlier this week.

  9. The sun, actually looks like it is illuminating the buildings, ground, plane...you can 'feel' the warmth of the sunlight. Amazing. A touch of post-production Vibrance, is the ticket! The sunlight, now glinting off of the sides of the pick-up trucks...I had never seen that effect, before the try-this-try-that tweak fest... I now have my 'burnt-in' PTA Mitch-Tweak for P3D v3.4.9. and....we're done! The morning sun shining off those pick-up body sides, almost makes me want to squint my eyes, lol. It looks that real, now.

Tried out the P3D Tweak Assistant (PTA) combined with my Reshader presets. Mind blown. Awesome looking! Now if the simulator would stop bleeding away all it's VAS in less than 45 minutes of flight that would be great mmmmmmmmkay? v3.4.9, I am disappointed...

Some pictures from my evening flight with the Piper Malibu Mirage from Carenado. This flight was to test the PTA settings from JV (thanks for sharing!). Some of the shots show how PTA can further enhance the P3D experience, simply amazing. The flight was IFR, flightlevel 160, took about 4.5h and I used real weather. One of the best Carenado birds in my eyes. Almost no bugs and lovely visuals. Boarding... The VC is extremely nice. Lovely place to "work"... Ready to go... No words needed to describe the beauty of the KEGE scenery... ... A first glimpse of what the PTA tool is capable of seen here at the horizon Nice passenge…

  18. The Fairchild F24W was built between 1932 and 1946 and was known for its sturdy design and reliability. Since I know this would get moved to the screenshot forum anyway I decided to do the quick review here. EDIT: P3D 3.0 / OPUS FSI / REX4 / FT KBOS / FSDT KJFK It obviously looks freekin gorgeous as per usual. I did a quick flight using the navigraph built in data (I believe it's late 2013 data). KBOS SSOXS3 SSOXS BUZRD SEY PARCH1 KJFK at FL200. In cruise I did about 260 KTAS with prop at 1700 and power just below 1st redline (haven't looked at the charts for power settings yet - and this test was done with fuel at 40% each tank and 1 190 lb pax). Real Wx with OPUS FSI - yay for 56 KT headwinds! Cold and dark was pretty easy, but this is only the fourth king…

This of course is a joke, but I wanted to take a picture in the screenshot forum over at the ORBX website a step further. The original one showed the “Bounty” berthed in Nanaimo, it wasn't posted by me. The “Passat” you can see here in Nanaimo is a four-masted steel barque, launched in 1911. She was decommissioned in 1957 and is now anchored in Lübeck, Germany, where she serves as museum and youth hostel. We slowly maneuver our way out to sea with a big ferry in the background I have to admit that motoring along the coast of Vancouver Island with all the lights in the background was something special. You sit in the evening in front of your PC, h…
