The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  3. Decided to have a little potter about in the lovely WT9 Dynamic in Scotland. I did a flight from Benbecula to Carlisle - here's a few snapshots. Thanks to Freemesh X, I've got some mountains and I downloaded a freeware landclass for Scotland which is a distinct improvement over the stock terrain. Thanks for viewing.

ORBX South Alaska scenery Our flight plan for today is from Whitehorse to Juneau It’s 8:00 am and some minus 7 degrees Celsius. We don’t have snow yet in Whitehorse, but we’ll expect plenty on route. With a lot of sputtering, coughing and smoke belching the three engines slowly coax to life. This is none of this instant-on nanny computer controlled stuff and the pilot knows exactly, when it’s time for his priced baby to be finally up and running Slowly, yet gracefully the Ford takes to the skies Yes, we might be slow and old, but we are hard working and dependable Occasionally we are forced to open the windows despite the freezing temps to c…

I only purchased this a few weeks back... but it's a really photogenic aircraft. I was also testing HDR with PTA - some things I liked and some I didn't. I'm back to HDR off with some residual PTA settings. Anyway here are some random shots I liked. ooops I really liked the colors on this one

Hello all, I have been showing off my PTA settings during daytime flights. I thought I would share a few pictures of a morning flight. time in the sim was between 6:00am and 6:30 am. I am using reshade with settings from the URP v0.9 readme file. I am also using Navid's version 3 sky textures. My PTA settings were derived from URP v0.95 and I have permission to upload my preset from Pe11e. Here's the link. I have never used dropbox before so let me know if the link is broken. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8q6wna3y5qth6tv/Matt%20PTA%20settings.ini?dl=0 As always, Thanks for viewing!

  16. No, it’s not a typo. I don’t mean the 262, I mean the 264. Here is a bit of history about this interesting plane: It was a long-range strategic bomber, who’s design went back to Messerschmitt’s first such project, the P.1061 from 1937. The first prototype Me 264 V1 with four Jumo engines was flown in Dec. 1942, six such planes were supposed to be built. The second version was powered by stronger BMW engines and had its inaugural flight in 1943. Soon thereafter construction of this plane was stopped, interest had shifted to the competing Heinkel He 277. Three planes had been built, the last one not yet fully finished. All three were destroyed in a bomb raid in July 1944. …

Passing the row Apsheron peninsula Looking down to her home airport: Tbilisi (the airport to the right; the left one is Soganlugi/Veli airfield) The snow-capped mountains of Greater Caucasus The mountains of Lesser Caucasus are not less impressive After hours: the first look at Frankfurt. Approaching Frankfurt was not that funny: ATC failed to advice me to sink early enough (like so often), so that it was difficult to fly the choosen PSA07S STAR But then I'm on the glide path. Note that the ground textures of the airport add-on don't fit the FS9Evo textures very well. …
