The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  3. I am still fine tuning the PTA settings to my liking. I Increased the shadow darkness quite a bit from what the URP v0.95 had. I noticed that in the real world, cloud shadows are quite dark and contrasted to the terrain around it that is not having a shadow cast on it. I am trying to emulate that look in the sim. I think its going to be a compromise because I think if I make the cloud shadows darker, it makes the cockpit darker as well. Let me know what you all think of the settings thus far. Parked at the gate in SFO.. Pushback complete... Normal 1L departure... Climbing out of the bay area... The FO's office... For some reason …

With Hurricane Matthew passing through the caribbean, I decided to tests Active Sky's Ability to depict such storms....this flight turned out to be so hilarious I decided to put it online. I took off from MDPC in a B200 and turned east at FL250 flying directly into Matthew's path and planning to attempt to land on MUCU, which was actually closed IRL due to the storm. From time to time I had 99kts tailwind that gave me some 360kts GS according to displays. While descending towards MUCU (I had to cheat finding the airport with GPS help, IRL you would divert in such visibility conditions) the wind shifted and was blowing from a northwestern direction. My B200 then stopped …

Looked worse on the ND than it ended up being. Runway was 1/2 mile visibility. Uneventful except low vis. A/T was jumping around a lot but nothing too severe. Just a couple to highlight the ND Wx. FSX:SE with ASN and REX clouds.

Zee Zimulator. She is back together! <3 P3D v3.4.9 looks epic and performs so much better.. minus the fact that in this scene... with pretty hefty AI traffic on and above average settings... After just 15 minutes at the KMDW... had me at 290 megs of VAS left! lol.... v3.4 is having a slight problem with VAS usage. Hope it gets fixed! Until then... I guess I'll scale back my Scenery Autogen Buildings, Trees and Scenery Complexity to Normal and tone down the 70% AI Taffic to something more akin to 40-50% range. Really don't want to have to drop my graphics resolution lower then 2k. Alternatively, fly with MegaSceneryEarth 2.0 USA exclusively and turn off…

Here are some pictures I took while playing around with PTA and Ultimate Realism Pack v 0.95. I used the Preset in v0.95 but tweaked the blue levels on the PTA under the atmospheric scattering effect. I don't really take pictures so please forgive my lack of creativity. :P
