The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Another mini review from me. I picked this amazing red/gold livery for testing. I'm actually pretty impressed they included it. I toured this plane at work last summer, pilots were really cool too. Anyway I sent Aerobask the pics I had and they decided to paint it up for their release! Haha cool! Anyway my thoughts on the solid Eclipse 550 NG from Aerobask.... For starters, it's a huge step above their old freeware version. Everything from the textures, modelling, avionics, clickspots, sounds are changed. Really it's a completely new model/project. I loved their freeware version and I love this version! It's on the higher end cost-wise for x plane addons. …

  7. Occasionally I'll fire up FS9 and do a little plane spotting, here was a project I completed a few years ago when I finally learned how to set up AI traffic from scratch. Tedious but well worth it and great for taking those old Historic Jetliner Group birds out for a spin. All timetables are from around 1993 to 1994. Taken at default LAX with sweetfx and enb nothing too fancy.

I've seen plenty of FlyBe Dash 8's coming into Manchester, but this is definitely the first time I've ever seen a BNSF Dash 9 coming there. That is what I call a long haul lol:

  10. I recently visited the Simforums (F1 forums) and noticed Alan had released a cool new product - XpressSim. It's basically a pusedo-photoreal scenery with autogen annotated on top. Well, not just autogen, but buildings in the shape of the real ones. I'm not sure how he does it but it looks really cool. There just happened to be scenery for Duluth, MN and Superior, WI - where I fly often. I think it cost around 10 bucks total. Anyway here it is along with the Cheyenne - took her out for a spin and then climbed through the rainy weather to sunnier skies. The Cheyenne is one of C's best products to date I think. They do analogue the best. The Cheyenne is a rocket of …

I'm enroute to Phoenix from John Wayne. Flight plan is STREL4 TRM J169 BLH HYDRR1. I'm still working out the kinks with the stock FMS, but it's FAR FAR better than the old XP10 unit. The last shot is passing Palm Springs from FL350. Oh yeah, scenery is from 'BFG500' it's donationware.... 50 bucks get's you around 14 airports. And freeware Ortho4xp ZL16 tiles I generated. DDENN Challenger 300 (payware). Enjoy! I like this shot... looks pretty real to me!

  22. I'm definitely in the minority where quality exterior models are equally as important to me as interior and systems, and PMDG has done a phenomenal job on all. Finally purchased this beauty yesterday- John Tavendale's paints take things one additional step further.

  23. I don't like defeat, so after updating to Creative Update, and then with some problems, rolled back to the Anniversary Update...and due to my well...er..'bulldog' nature...I once more updated to the C.U. I've been playing around with the Game Mode and found a couple of things. Originally, I had turned off the Game Bar, and kept the Game Mode as ticked. I thought that as soon as you fired up a graphics intensive call-cycle, the 'Game Mode' would sniff and kick in. Wrong... You need to keep the Game Bar as clicked, and call it up after you are at your game's first page, after screen resolving. You then WIN-G, call up the game bar, and tick on Use Game Mode For This…
