The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Now that ORBX has launched its Germany South scenery, it will give me plenty of interesting POIs that I can visit there. This flight takes me from the Black Forest via Lake Constance, Neuschwanstein, Zugspitze, Innsbruck all the way to the Königsee. I have combined the ORBX scenery with free German photoscenery. ORBX gives me all POIs and the photoscenery shows me my world, as it really is. I have placed the photoscenery above all ORBX entries. The plane is the Carenado King Air 90. After taking off from Baden-Soellingen in the northern part of the Black Forest we head south towards Freiburg Over Freiburg we turn east for Lake Constance …

August 24, 1924: The five navy ship had been searching for the Italians since they disappeared on the 21st, they were about to abandon the search as they were running out of supplies when an observer on the Richmond spotted a flicker of light on the horizon from the Italians. Locatelli landed in the sea rather that risk flying into an iceberg in the heavy fog, he planned to resume when the fog cleared, but heavy seas and floating ice damaged there craft so badly that he could not take off again. The four Italians were so seasick from their ordeal that they had to be lifted up to the ship using the cargo nets. The fliers next prepared for there next leg to the vil…

.... A few more screenshots, taking into account the latest FSW Update 13. Changes have been made to the PBR based lighting and the TrueSky weather engine. ...whilst the Dovetail development team are progressing really well, It is just my own opinion, but I feel Reshade is still needed to enhance the overall look of the Sim. An updated Reshade Preset is available here to take into account the recent changes made by Dovetail. Just in case you like what you are seeing LOL !! http://www.mediafire.com/file/co11i88ses6dsir/FSW1.ini Regards, Pete Beeby.

August 5, 1924: At mid-morning the two remaining planes departed for Reykjavik, a 290 mile trip with a stiff head wind, the harbor at Horna Fjord was very shallow and they had difficulty finding a long enough area to take off. They followed the coast were very few safe harbors could be seen, the engine on New Orleans began to run rough and oil pressure dropped from 60psi to 27, but decided to continue rather than risk landing along the rocky coast. They flew past the destroyer Billingsley at Portland Point and into Reykjavik harbor where 25,000 cheering people were there to greet them onshore. As the launch arrived to take them in, the cruiser Richmond arrived, with Wa…

July 30, 1924: At Brough they would overhaul the aircraft to prepare them for the north atlantic. The cowlings, radiators and engines were all removed and replaced, all the metal parts of the planes were covered with rust-resistant oxide, all the fabric that was damaged by the hot and humid climates they had passed through was repaired and the wheels were replaced by floats. The flyers were invited to a formal banquet in London they night after they arrived but as Arnold wrote “we were about as well equipped with clothes as the head-hunters of Borneo”. Eventually Arnold was sent with a shopping list to London to get what they needed. The banquet was held at the Savo…
