On the 7th they were up at 4am to spend the day the exchange of pontoons for wheels, refueling and checking the planes for the next leg to Mitchell field on Long Island New York. A large crowd gathered but were kept away by solders and police. They were off at noon on a exceptionally clear day, they flew over New London Connecticut, Arnold's home town, and after passing Bridgeport they were joined by an escort of ten DH-4's carrying General Patrick, Senator Wadsworth of New York and Lt Nelsons Brother Gunnar. Hello simfriends Yesterday, was a topic in Avsim, about best photosceneries with photoreal and autogen... the reason of this topic is to show one... is a free! photoreal scenerie of Canaria with some added airports (payware) A few pictures here, to show the great interrest of photosceneries on specifical regions. Stones and volcanic'sands are very detailled... but the same with landclasses (Try yourself in your sim) is very flat...we don't recognise the landscapes, the volcans seem to be only sand-mountains. A bit of fun. Because the sim doesn't have to be as real as it gets all the time. I hereby announce the Business Executive (turboprop) class for the Reno Air Races . The Avanti's over-the-top racer-inspired paintjob was provided by AVSIM member warbirds (thanks again Paul!). My only specifications were a sharkmouth and chequerboard patters (of course!). As you can see, Paul included the Italian colours and flag. The plane is Mario Noriega's Piaggio Avanti. She does barrel roll quite well. whoooooop.... whoooooop.. Thanks to a bit of over-exuberance, the overspeed noise was going off. Cheers!
