VA World!

Forum for the Virtual Airlines section of the AVSIM website. General discussions related to Virtual Airlines.

  1. Hi there, I have been leading my own VA, flyeuro.com for the past 1.5 years. It is a relatively short amount of time I imagine compared to some of larger VAs who have existed for more than 10 years, but I am already running out of patience. While I am a very patient man, the fact is, VAs are not easy to run. I accepted this challenge right at the start, and until now, my virtual airline is quite successful at achieving what I set out to do. "To create a realistic simulation of a low-cost airline in Europe". However, while we are achieving this objective, we cannot fulfill the activity in terms of pilots. We have established ourselves as a solid airline, but pilots jus…

  2. Hey! I love it to fly these big old metalbirds, and because there is a new one, the Just Flight DC-8/50 to 70 series I ask myself if there is a VA that operates older planes? The best case will be when there is no problem when I fly for another VA too. Because I fly the "glass cockpits" for Air Child (they have no problem with "double subscription") Thanks and Greetings!

Hello everyone. I thought I would make you aware of a 'New' VA which has opened it doors over the weekend and already has over 300 pilots registered. For the past six months a new Virtual Ryanair was being created from scratch. A custom PIREP programme has been built (VRACRS) and completely new booking and log book system (VRAMS). Some fantastic long and hard work have gone into creating theses programmes. In December 2013, pilots who had found our site and had pre-registered we're selected as BETA testers for the new Virtual Ryanair. Over 500 hours of flying was logged by 60 or so BETA pilots and improvements into both programmes were made. So I introduce to you …

Hi I have been using flight simulator for many years and decided to join BA virtual airline, this month. I applied via their website using my real name ( not English name ). Few weeks after, I received a message saying my application was rejected. Few days after, I reapplied using English name , that was the only thing I changed. Few days after, I received a message saying that my application was accepted and will go through their test. This is a real case of discrimination and racism. This is supposed to be " just a game"....?..?. Anyway, I feel sorry for them, still prejudice and low minded people amongst them. Regards CZ

  5. Besides our three international hubs, Minneapolis / St Paul, Miami and London Heathrow, bringing to our crews thousands of short, medium and long range flights involving both jet and props liners, we are even prouder of our much more remarkable departments: As a matter of fact, we also offer to our pilots who prefer more adventurous experiences lots of other opportunities. Whether bush operations in extreme environments, major air raids to discover remote areas, tracking long rivers of the world, playing around the highest peak in the mountain chain of the Himalayas, repeating the exploits of aviation pioneers by performing famous historic flights, going around the worl…

You will now be showed a series of images, please, pay attention: Do you like what you have seen? Would you like to fly with the official Ivao VA that has the most original and beautiful livery out there? Would you like to fly our varied fleet of aircraft in a dense Italian domestic network; or do you prefer to take up some of our international routes? Would you like to meet a friendly community of international pilots?....... For this is what you could do with ItAli airlines virtual a month ago......... NOW, you can do all this, and even more. With our recent adoption of the VAfinnacials system, YOU choose the cargo flying in your aircra…

  11. No, I don't mean a VA in the convential sense of the term (i.e. a community of simmers signed up to an "airline") but I mean actually created a fictitious airline just for your own pleasure? Allow me to explain.... I don't like flying unrealistic equipment/airline/route combinations, so for example I wouldn't enjoy flying a Ryanair B737 from Bristol to Paris CDG because I know they don't run that route in real life. Which brings me on to the "problem"... I have just purchased the PMDG 777 and I must say I absolutely ADORE it. So much so that I can't imagine me jumping back to the NGX for quite a while. But this presents me with a problem, as I wouldn't…

  13. Folks, Let me start off by declaring I'm not really sure where to post this.... So, I've come across this page "The Airline game", whereby effectively you set up your own "virtual Airline" and it focusses on the business side of an airline (I think), such as fleet, schedules etc. I was just wandering if: (1) You could move this thread to the appropriate forum) A) Anyone has had any experience with it B) If its "any good" C) If you really can design your own livery, as advertised. Thanks Folks! Andy Green

I have been around a few VA's in the past 8 years, but I must say that I am very impressed with aavirtual.net. So what makes this VA so appealing to me? Well I look for a balance of flexibility and realism. I do not want to come in and be able to fly everywhere and everything. However, out of the box as a commuter pilot I was able to fly my PMDG 737. Here are some other great points that this VA has, many of which other have, but I feel aavirtual.net does better: 1. The website is gorgeous, and resembles the reall AA.com 2. smartCARS is very well done, incorporating flight attendant instructions etc. You can even modify what they say and import your own .wav files if…
