May 20th, 2010- Manhasset, New York- Empora Airlines has announced a rebranding. This shift includes an overhaul of the companies' website, logo, and a gradual introduction of a new livery for the airline's fleet. The aircraft, website, and logo will all bear the new colors of violet and gold. This is compared to Empora's traditional grey and green colors. The executives stated that since purple and gold has historically represented royalty, it is a strong match for Empora's luxury oriented brand. Empora's top executives emphasized the changing brand because of an advancing world, and Empora needing to be leaders in innovation in the Aviation industry. Empora also announc…

It seems to me that a lot of pilots who join VA's get pretty bored with it and do not stay long term, based on the trolling ive done and the number of pilots with low hours at any particular VA who have been there a while. The novelty seems to where off pretty quickly.Has anybody thought of, or has seen, a VA that offers pilots on short or long term loans.Let me explain in more detail. You see labour hire companies around the world that offer skilled workers places at companies on a long or short term basis. What if there were a VA that had pilots on its books who loaned out pilots to other VA's on varied length contracts. Hours and virtual stocks (even a contract price of …

Greetings,Lately the flight simulation world suffered two of the biggest changes. Two well known and respected airline groups ceased operations just this year, one month after the other. Seeing this I want to create a very large virtual airline project. This project will consist of a large community of virtual pilots that just love to fly for any airline with the tools required to simulate with a great degree of realism. My plan is to create an airline group of 80+ airlines with realistic routes, departure times, and aircraft. In order to complete something this large in scale I need a large team of people to collaborate in making this possible. Right now there

Hello everybody,My name is Alexander Kolb and I am representing Air-Glaciers VA, an in-development VA project. At the moment we are trying to make a final decision about the best way to rate our pilots in additional aircraft. Before we tell you about the methods we are considering, please be informed of the following:- We operate 7 aircraft; three fixed wing and four rotorary - We are trying to target a small, closely knit group of pilots, not massive numbers- We want to promote some realism, but we're not very strict on how realistic our pilots must beNow here are the five methods we are considering:- Start with all 7 ratings- Start with ratings of one class (rotorary or f…

Alaska / Horizon Virtual Airlines has been up and running since Nov. 3, 2009. We used to be at (joinasa.org) but we have moved to a new server and are now bringing the Virtual Airline community to an all new and Unbelievable level. We have a system not seen anywhere else. Our PIREP system is an all new ACARS system where their is no more downloading FSACARS and trying to find out where to put it...lol. All you now have to do is book your flight keep you Firefox web browser open and fly. You are no longer alone in the sky, and you do not need to buy any add-ons to get the real feeling of being there. Our ACARS system is the only one that now has a fully working Ca…

Howdy all,I'm not new to Avsim, VATSIM, or the Virtual Airline world, and after many years of flying for other people, I decided to look into starting a VA. I have some real world airline experience, as well as being a real world private pilot. I've been management at several VA's so this isn't new either.I know it's tough and most new VA's fail, but in the research I've done I think I've found why most of them do. To start with, I'm already in better shape because I've got the webspace, design know-how, and some spare cash to get things running. I think that alone puts me in the top 10% of VA startups...Anyway, I'm only one person and I think VA's need to begin as a …

I'm interested in joining a VA that provides me flexibility and shorter routes due to my work schedule. I don't mind starting off with smaller aircraft and working my way up. I'm a pilot in real life, so real-time ATC and IFR routes would be an added bonus.Any suggestions? Many thanks,Paul
