Hi all,I used to be at EagleExpress that allowed us to fly anywhere with any payware plane. Unfortunatly, it closed down and I was wondering if there are still such VA's.The reason is that I like to fly whereever I feel like and, when flying online, my flights depend on which airports are controlled. I know this goes against the VA philosophy but it may exist. Thanks in advance for your advice,Happy flying,Olivier

Even though the real Independence Air has shut down, Independence Virtual Air will continue their every day flights to our 46 destinations. At Independence Virtual Air we have a laid back style of flying, and provide our passages with the best service available in the sky. If you are interested, on our first day of operations, 06-01-06, stop buy our website and fill out a Pilot application, a…

I was wondering how long it takes to get a reply when signing up to virtual airlines.I read an article in PC pilot and thought i would join a VA.As i live in the UK i was interested in UK or european airlines. I Have signed up for Fly UK, Flybe Virtual and Eastjet virtual and KLM Virtual a few days ago but have not had any replies from any as yet. I realize that it is just normal people that run these sites and they have their own lives as well but i would have thought i would have had a reply from at least one of them. Maybe their not interested in new pilots. Makes me think maybe they dont exsist any more but not removed their website. Can anyone recommend a European VA …

I've been in and out of a lot of VA's and I can never quite get one that I like 100%, so I think I want to start my own. why? I've been wanting to fly the payware a/c and the payware sceneries that ive bought. I like the PMDG a/c (B1900C/F and 737,739,744 pax and cargo) and use the Flight Scenery KPVD and there new scenery due out soon i hope, KPDX as well as FlyTampa's stuff and of course some great freeware out there as well then i started to think what i could do that would make my VA unique, and i couldn't really come up with anything. I don't do any programming, so... it wouldn't have any of that fancy automated stuff that seems to be the norm right now, no acars, n…

Hi All,I've spent the last few days diligently searching for a Virtual Airline that I used to frequent several years ago. The airline was more charter system based than schedule based. Although, as I recall, both charter and scheduling were incorporated. As an example, someone would pick up a pilot at his or her home airport in a Lear Jet and then fly them to another location so they could join their flight team at a particular hub etc. Or they might accept a charter to ferry a plane to a given location. The whole concept was rather innovative, flexible and fun.As I recall, the airline was headquartered in Los Angeles (main hub) and had other hubs as well.I wish I cou…

I am in the process of creating a new VA and I would like smart, creative and active people who would like to help to join me. The VA project is in its infancy and so far I am the only member. The VA name is SkyBound Airline (and its offshoots SkyBound Cargo, Charter and whatever else). My idea for the VA is nothing fancy, I am not trying to outdo anybody else's VAs, I am just shooting for something I feel is missing out there. Most VAs have their hubs in the usual places (North America, Europe), so my vision is to have a VA that flies mostly where most others don't: Central and South America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Ocean. I don't mind flying in the US or Europe, but …

Howdy,Just wondering what the legality is re: establishing a VA based upon a once-existant, small, (New Zealand) regional airline might be?The airline in question ceased to exist waaaay back in 1962; so, IMO, there really should be no trouble using either the name, livery, or replicating/simulating the operations of said company (and bring them forward into today's environment). But then again, I do not profess to being a lawyer. Please feel free to comment. TIA.

hi everyone. i was thinking of starting a cargo based VA and thought id try to find some folks whod be interested in helping. right now im just planning it but already have a domain ready for it to use.this one will be totally virtually based. ive ran two other organizations before, one based on Cubana de Aviacion (a cuban airline) and the other on the civil air patrol (USAF Auxiliary). both were pretty much succesful but with all good things they always come to an end. sadly both were closed by the real organizations. so this time i decided not to risk it again and just create my own.if interested please contact meshould also post my experience.i have worked in a pet sup…
