Hello to all DC3 fiends :-)My apologies for not posting the 'no dome' fix yet but I wanted to finish a couple of other things first! Namely, two new sets of cockpit graphics. One set is just a replacement of the rear view in F2/F3 which removes the dome but leaves the forward cargo compartment alone. The other is much prettier - see the shots below. Due to my current work schedule ;(8 I'm off to NZ tomorrow so I'll post everything after I get back on Monday - just a couple of loose ends to fix. Hello All,The recent discussion(s) about copyrighted resources for FU as well as it's age/problems got me wondering about whether we (meaning the FU community) could possibly lobby EA to release the source code/resource base for FU3/2 under special license (where no one could make any money from it I presume).I am a professional software developer and I know how tight a grip companies can have on assets (no matter how outdated and unprofitable). But it seems as though we could turn FU into a sort of "Open Source" product where we would be able to update the graphics engine, fix some bug/features, etc. And then drive (fly) FU into the future...What would be the interest …

Hey, all DC3 fiends!A real civvy DC3! I couldn't wait to show someone. Thanks to Ansgar's monumental efforts (what with all the AI stuff happening), I've been busy on the weekend... Some screenshots follow. This mod simply replaces files 69&70 in the resfile - the crash models are unchanged. With Ansgar's permission, I'll post the file on the forum.BTW, I have updated the rear views (F2&F3) to show a ceiling, not a dome :-). Sorry to be a pain (!) but, following the reinstall of my FU3 with FU2 scenery, I'm not getting anywhere with FLED :-(.Regardless of which region I select, when FLED opens, I get a blank (black) screen where the image should be. I've flown both areas so I know that the scenery and objects look OK however my 'objects' menu item is blanked out. I've tried reinstalling FU3 (3 times GRRRR :-( ) but it's made no difference. Maybe I've missed something, maybe I'm going mad, maybe it only works on the fourth installation attempt...Any ideas? I recently found jetways at the San Fransisco airport (without adding scenery), and now jetways start popping up at different locations. Now I can find jetways at KSFO, KLAX, and KORD. How can I get jetways at all the other airports (American, at least)Thanks!

Hi Folks,In my RegionSfAirports, there are 2 folders 1 named oak and another oakland. I have been getting the Ai Startup screen lock and been using esc key to continue the load. Do you all know if its normal for those 2 folders to exist in the directory? I thought of just moving one out, but figured I'd ask you all first incase moving one might destroy my SF region.Recent history is, I changed packages to backages to allow my SF region to work. Prior to this I wasn't able to get into the region at all, would get cdt when ever I tried. Yo I start to mess around in the FU3 scenery using FLED. I want to create some new airports. I found out that you need a piece of flat area for that, in order not to have the plane sunken away in the runway :(.Couple of questions hence:Is it possible to see within FLED which area is flat? Or do I realy need some tool like GeoTileViewer to flatten out area?What exactly does the FLED option 'show classification' show? I mean I see green area's, blue area's (that must be water) or no-coloured area's. What do they mean? Ok, a bit of an awkward question.How do I turn on the aircrafts shadow (fu3)? I thought I read something on the internet that it is possible, though I cannot find a setting for it. So I thought I misread it or so.... However, now I encounter a fu3 screenshot of a plane with a shadow! So it is possible?My graphics setting for hardware acceleration has to options:- none- primary display(or somehting like that). Is this normal? Shouldn't it read the name of the accelerator driver, card or whatsoever?Bye
