Here you can see a complex airport with floodlights. Unfortunately FU3 can just illuminate the ground but not the plane. actually my activities have moved to Android Apps, but don't expect to see FU3 on your smart phone :-) Andre

Hi, I've remembered, when I first installed FUIII on my PC, I selected only four pilot voices and a smaller landscape. I now realize I can get a bigger landscape/more pilot voices etc... Without uninstalling and then re-installing, is there any other way I could get these? Thanks, TiggCJ

Hi I'm trying to run either FU2 or FU3 in windows 7 and both have separate problems. Not really bothered, just want one of them to get running! Right, I'll start with FU2. I transferred the files from my old system running XP (since sold out installer wouldn't run correctly) and although all the menu's work and appear correctly, once I'm acutally flying the colours go wrong and the game tells me to insert disc 2 (even though it is inserted). I would like to show you what I mean with the colours, but the game will not allow me to take a screenshot for some reason. I will try and describe it: the sky is mainly red with yellow, green, blue strips near the horizon and…

Hi everyone, This is my first post in the Flight Unlimited Series forum. I have had the sim for about a year now and I have figured out pretty much all of it. But what (you can probably see from the title) does the NAV button do? I know the APR button engages to the ILS and lands for you, that's nice, but is the NAV for the NDB or something? (I have been told before that you can get an auto-pilot to follow an NDB, but I tend to just follow it manually.) And what do you do when the controller says "cleared to transit my airspace at (e.g.) 1500." Do you wait until he says something or when you've reached that altitude can you just change the frequency? (I get a bit annoyed…

Hi all,I'm just reinstalling FU3 after a HDD failure and I've got a few questions:1. What are the 'recommended' flt3.cfg options? I seem to remember that there was a 'mega' cfg floating around that fixed a lot of the issues with sky banding.2. I am using a PS2 joypad (I know, it's not great but it's allI have) and I've lost my joykeys.cfg, can someone post theirs so I can rebuild my one. I am particularly interested in how you can cycle the views on a button press, how to stop the throttle being auto assigned to one of the axis (I prefer it on the X and square buttons)Any help greatfully accepted and thanks to all those guys who have sent me the updates on DVD!

Greetings all,I have been searching online for the latest version of FFS and have only found v0.4 here at the AVSIM Library,I am unable to use this version and can only assume IE9 is older than the required IE5.5 or higher (LOL)yet after searching archived pages online, it seems the last released version was v0.8I have been unable to find a DL site for this version, or any version after the 0.4 release, and I hope someone here can point me in the right direction or maybe upload a newer version to the AVSIM Library (if permissions allow for it)Thanks and safe flyingSteve

Pretty quiet here, hein..? It seems I am the only one enjoying FU3 these days ..!Apart from the Beechjet and the Mooney, all other planes that I have tried (Trainer, Arrow, ...) appear to exhibit some irregular behavior with the autopilot NAV and APR functions. Especially the NAV. I have noticed the ILS Frequency and the NAV Frequency sometimes are interconnected: entering an ILS freq changes suddenly the NAV freq.Opened the panels in Cockpit Designer, but everything seems normal.Anyone faced this issue?

I've used Nhancer for FU III for a long time. After a recent video card upgrade I noticed that it didn't seem to launch properly anymore. Then I noticed that FU III looked pretty "unenhanced".Since I still have an Nvidia card I opened the Nvidia control panel. I defined settings for flight3.exe just as I'd done with Nhancer and got a well-rendered FU III back. Thus, Nhancer seems to be redundant with a more recent Nvidia control panel. As we all know after all these years, a little haze makes the sim look better since no matter how much filtering you use for the rendering the distant horizon may show some artifacts.

Hi All,Visiting after a long absence. My old P4 Dell machine could no longer cope with the stresses and strains of daily PC life, decided enough was enough and after many years of service went up in a puff of blue smoke to the great PC graveyard in the sky.My new machine arrived at the weekend and one of the first jobs was to get FUII and FUIII running again. Having spent 3 hours searching the house I found the disks and started the install. I installed FUIII and then added the San Fran area but unfortunately the game will not play. It just sort of freezes and then I need to use Task Manager to close it down.I tried running it in different compatability modes but no joy. I…

Hi everyone,It's been a while since I last flew with Flight Unlimited, but I remember that it was very enjoyable, and I'd like to give it another try.So I've installed FU3 on my 6-year-old PC (Athlon64, Radeon X800XL), running Windows XP SP3. The game works fine except that some areas of the terrain appear white under certain view points. See the attached screen shots. When the plane is moving, these areas become white and then quickly get back to normal, which leads to annoying flashes on the terrain. I guess that the graphical anomaly only occurs when the area is viewed from a certain angle.I've tried several versions of the graphics drivers, differents resolutions an…

Hi all. I recently post screenshots of an FU3 flight on another forum full of MSFS diehards who wont hear a bad word against MSFS sim. So they looked for every negative in FU3 (many very stupid). Anyway a big one that I kind of agreed on is the poor looking clouds to quote someone "It would make a great ship sim, those clouds look like ice-bergs". Is their anyway I can improve the clouds.

Happy September. So I've broken open the zipfile and started this morning ironing out a few more wrinkles. My script.txt for Discovering Seattle and the other for FU3 Pro are being refurbished with an up to date list of aircraft, departures and destinations. While being distracted from the main task, and checking with Fled Viewer which airports sit on which tiles I found I can't open m0aeae.mod which contains SeaTac. The tile, and models, work fine in Fled. I've made a lot of changes around the Seattle region so, thinking I'd messed something up I temporarily replaced it with the same megatile from a clean unmodded installation. Same result so I suppose the original was c…

Hello guys.As I mentioned in a previous thread, I had found and cleaned my 7-year old computer that has Voodoo5 5500 AGP in it. FU3 runs beautifully with this card, but as in the past, you have to juggle settings and resolution to get flyable frames. On my modern and fast machine (i7-965 and GTX 580) and with nvidia inspector Fu3 runs perfect except for the ugly banding in the sky and the even uglier blocky haze and fog.Trying to find a solution for a long time, I came across the pinned topic by Andre DDFIX for FU3, wherein he mentions that DDFIX enables, among other things, 32-bit which is the solution for a sky banding and blocky haze/fog. The links to download DDFIXM.7z…

Rest your eyes and brain from FLED.Something to idle the time. Each puzzle is 100 piece, 10x10. Quite easy. They are flash basedand are opened with your favorite flash supported web browser. I usually open the jpg with onetab, and open the html file with another tab. That way I have my puzzle "box" available if needed. You will most likely recognize these images.I made these on my WinXp pc using Flash Jigsaw Producer. I hope you enjoy.jimb http://flightunlimit..._Splash_640.zip http://flightunlimit...es/Flt2_Map.zip http://flightunlimit.../Flt2_Setup.zip

I'm hopelessly stuck here. I'd like to add this VOR beacon to UK-South:http://worldaerodata.com/wad.cgi?nav=ST+ATHAN&nav_id=SAT&nav_type=3 I can figure out how to move and add beacons but I can't figure out how to convert the coordinates into something I can put into FLED? Little help?

Mmm... a quiet evening at last. I've recently recieved a very generous and good-looking donation of hi-res photoscenery for the Vancouver area which I put into a clean, unmodded installation of FU3. Trouble is that I don't seem to be able to use it with my graphics card. With the FU3 menu option '3d Acceleration Driver' switched to Primary Di(splay driver) FU3 freezes on loading a flight, mostly around the map but sometimes just before that with a disconcerting blank screen. Behind the FU3 screen/window I found the following message: With the '3d Acceleration Driver' switched to None everything loads smoothly and I get a great framerate... it's just that everything then …

I have noticed that there is a one [?] pixel gap in the cockpit display of my FU 2 aircraft. Fixing this in the manner described in this forum for Fu3 aircraft doesn't work for me as Cockpit Designer won't allow me to alter FU2 stuff. Any ideas anybody ? regards.................Stuart

Well, even though I have a fantastic setup for FSX with the most realistic scenery (Orbx) and a wonderful assortment of airplanes, here I am again setting up FU3 with the never-ending advances in hardware! I installed FU3 with FU2 scenery straight from Sold-Out disks. It all went perfectly on my system (i7 965, GTX 580, Win 7 64) The sim is running fine. I am still struggling with AA and somewhat blocky sky haze. AA is corrupting the panels. I tried different settings for the blocky haze in the cfg file without success. Any help is appreciated. Nice to be back in my home turf!
