Hi everyone,I just put my original post to quotes below as it appears that this static alpha image interferes with other elements in the sub-gauges. The problem seems to be the SET_ON_SCREEN() below, because the needles and icons over this sub-gauge don't update as they should. They kinda freeze to the point where they were when switching the static image on/off. Does this have to do something with the icon and needle callbacks? Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,This may/may not be a hopeless post concerning me being a freshman in the modeling community, anyhow I've made a few decisions to myself recently after flying birds in the Flight Simulator franchise since FS98 that it is time to move along and get inside these birds. And learn on how to model them as in panels firstly. To be honest, I have no clue where to start and that's why I was hoping I could bump it on this forum. I don't want to consider myself an outsider, I just want to learn and that's why I'm here! Surely some of you have been in my shoes, now, sometime in your life.So my first question is really simple, where do I need to go to learn "how" to model? Se…

    I read your XML FAQ and found that I can make multiple assignments inside one click section:<Click> 0 (>K:...) 0 (>K:...) </Click>Now, what I really would like to do is<Click> <Value>(A:xxx,bool)</Value> <Case Value="0"> 0 (>K:...) </Case> <Case Value="1"> 0 (>K:...) 0 (>K:...) </Case></Click>Is that possible in some way?

Been messing around with FS Panel Studio. I was curious to see if it was possible to add the old WXR2100 gauge to the VC. I came across an old cd with this on it, and wondered if it were possible. The main question is if it is indeed possible, and then finally how would I go about placing the gauge on the pedestal of the VC.Check out the link, remove the ** and place tt (duh)h**p://www.airliners.net/photo/107303/L/

  9. Hi to all,I'm looking for a radioaltimeter where it's possible to have the callouts in agreeament with the DH settings.Example:if I'm performing a CATI ILS approach where MINIMA are 200ft/600 meters and my DH setting on the radioaltimeter is 200ft the callouts will be:at 300ft "APPROACHING MINIMA" at 200FT "MINIMA" and at 50FT "LAND".If I'm performing a NDB approach where MINIMA are 800ft/4500meters and my DH setting on the radioaltimeter is 800ft the callouts will be:at 900ft "APPROACHING MINIMA" at 800ft "MINIMA" and at 50ft LAND.I think it should be more realistic.Gianfranco

  11. Hello everyone,I hope someone is able to help me.Im currently working on the flight dynamics of a Boeing 737.I happen to be in the lucky position to fly this plane for real to earn my living. So now to the question.Everything is fine with the dynamics, but when I commence a turn with the plane ,the lift loss is way too high, meaning I have to pitch up far too much to keep my altitude. Its not frealistic to fly a visual approach with 7-9 degrees of pitch up,just to keep altitude for example. It seems to be a general problem, regardless of flap position or speed, though its more obvious in low speed regimesI know of course from reality and the days at flight school that a bit of…

I found that by adjusting PowerSpecificFuelConsumption and/or fuel_flow_scalar in the aircraft.cfg file I could correct the fuel burn rate and consequently the range. However, the estimated fuel burn generated in the Navigation Log is unaffected and continues to calculate the original figure. The "Actual" figures are reported correctly. Does anyone know where FSX's Flight Planner and resultant Navigation Log is getting it's data from? No doubt the air file

Hello:I'm trying to add some icons onto the VC panel of the F1 Pilatus PC12 to open some gauges I have added to the panel and even though FS Panel Studio puts them into the CFG they don't show up on the panel. I also can't add any gauges to the VC. I have no problem with my EagleSoft Premire 1, ES Citation X, F1 Cessna 421 or F1 Cessna 441. That seems to be the only aircraft VC panel that will not allow me to do it.I had no problem adding them to the 2D panel, just the VC.Can anyone give me the information I need to do this.Thanksmaxsdad

I have a plane I want to add an autopilot to. I have the autopilot gauge on the panel. I have enabled the autopilot in the aircraft.cfg and air files. The altitude feature works OK. In heading or NAV mode it does not work. The aircraft.cfg has an autopilot section with what seem like the right entries. I have a VOR also that works. What else do I have to do to get the HDG and NAV functions to work right? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi PeoplesThis has me stumped i am porting my fs2004 aircraft to FSX and am upgrading the textures to FSX materials. All has been going well up until now, the problem i am having is this. I have textured the side of the fuselage in two parts forward half and rear half. as you can see in the screen shot the rear half is appearing darker than the forward half. Both materials responsible for the textures are FSX materials with a diffuse map specular map and bump map. All have the correct alpha channels and the bump map has had the appropriate modifications (they were generated with the photoshop Nvidia plugin) i have assigned a known working texture to the rear half to check…

I have a question regarding the FSX view system. I've been unable to find a way to override the default "Cockpit" and Virtual Cockpit" cameras. Is this even possible? I can of course add additional camera definitions that have the desired view parameters, but it seems a bit unreasonable to ask the user to activate a second view just to override the (wrong) default views. In FS9 (panel.cfg) we had: VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=VIEW_FORWARD_EYE=The zoom and eye allowed us to override the settings on a panel-by-panel basis. Exactly what I needed and wanted in order to correctly adjust for those running under different aspect ratios and to calibrate …

I'm looking for a talented artist to create several realistic panel bitmaps for me (commissioned/paid work of course). In particular this would involve creating the following panels for a particular multi-engine jet aircraft: Main panel w/gauge bezels, MCP/AFCS etc. Overhead panel Night lighting and darker subdued night lighting variant of main and overhead panels Don't worry about the gauge component bitmaps and code, I should be able to handle that. I just need somebody to make the panel backgrounds pretty, with bezels and dial placement points. I can supply some photos of the aircraft panel as well as a couple examples of how I would like the panels to look (gener…

I want to make a gauge to toggle the jetway. I see there is a KEY_TOGGLE_JETWAY (KEY_ID_MIN + 1159)and a toggle_jetway key event. How can I make a gauge to do this? What does the (KEY_ID_MIN + 1159) mean? I can't find any definition of KEY_ID_MIN. Thanks, regards, Bob.
