i can get textures of 512*512 to work ok, but, cannot get 1024*1024 to show uphow is this achieved?

I was wondering if it might be possible to create an altitude hold function which would have the A/P hold a certain radar altitude above the ground instead of the normal barometric altitude. This might be quite ueful for low-flying military planes such as the Tornado, F-111, or even ekranoplanes :-) .Anybody been trying this, or have any idea of how it might work?Thanks,

The main landing gear on this plane does not touch the ground when taxiing. One side or the other will be in the air. Is there any way to fix this in the editor? Also the wheels do not turn. Don

hiI am having problems getting my textures to show up on a new aircraft model in fs2002. Aircraft designed with fsds textues are indexed colour 8 bit bmp's.I have created a new model and copied the textures to the texture folder for the new model..... nothing.tried using an existing flight model with the testures ..again nothing.fsds texture pref points to fs2002 textures ,, tried pointing to my new model and to the texture file i used when designing them with fsds all with no resultsI am sure there is a simple answer to this but i am starting to run out of ideas.thanksJohn

For what it's worth, an update on my test homebuilt. Now I have to start working on the hard stuff, such as all the moving items and painting it. I have found GMAX a real joy to work with. I picked up the 3ds Max Bible which is an excellent resource tool. Well worth the money!BC

1. I thought Project AI had night lighting?2. If were able to open doors on planes, isnt there a way to add excape shutes( i know thas prolly not how u spell it )3. Well, this try didn't work, but it did look kind of cool.I am having a problem trying to get any texture to show up as reflective. I have made sure the .mdl transfered as having a reflective map. I used DxtBmp to create a texture with an alpha channel. I have applied the texture in Gmax with the UVmap set. And usually all I get is a transparent airplane. This particular shot was when I tried to follow the PSP Alpha instructions from Chris's site.Any comments on what I might be doing wrong would be appreciated.BC

Hi, I've added this effect to my aircraft. It simulates hot exhaust gasses when the aircraft is stationary. However, if you look at the views, it looks good except from the front where it just shows as bright white. Does anyone here know what is wrong?Many thanks.

Well everyone,It both pleases and dissapoints me to announce the following: We've decided to restart our 738 project from the beggining. The decision was made because of my faulty design of the fuselage and reshaping of the wings. The good news is that we're 3 weeks wiser from the beginning, and we're not going to make the same mistakes again. We want to be sure the plane will "be all it can be" and more. Hi allI recall seeing this website that was developing the A380 a while back. Does anybody know of any decent A380 now or perhaps in progress. The quality of the Simubuild A340-600 is absolutely amazing and has wet my appetite for Airbus aircraft. I have to say that Airbus has been neclected for a long time with decent FS models, but these days we are spoiled rotten. Hi,I am newbie and I am trying to do an gauge with three buttons managing autobreak, the values should be minimum, medium and maximum. I have looked at the example in boeing 747 cab file but I am bit lost about the click event. Each button can be on or off i.e boolean are there other autobreak click events for the different levels of break pressure ?Anyone having any good advice? Best regardsEugen

I found a panel I liked and clicking on it's GPS icon all I got was a black pop-up. Went over to the (defualt) Beech 350, hit it's icon, same black pop-up. Panel CFG shows it as "gps!gps". I don't see anything like that in 2k2 cd's nor in GAUGES. (thought it might be a Concorde guage, but nope). Cure???

I wanted to question you about if could be made a program (or it already exists) that allowed to change the geographical location of a BGL made with GMAX. With this, the authors of airplanes with GMAX could upload to the WEB sites their airplanes in version BGL (besides the flyable MDL). The users could discharge them and to change them the geographical coordinates to locate them in the scenarios that they want as static airplanes. From already thank you for their attention. Jos
