Hello everyone.I am trying to better the AIR file dynamics from a recent release to the community, but I am stumped by the fact that I do not know where the datum of the plane is located. No, not the datum of the real plane. I mean the datum of the FS plane, so that I can make references to it such as position of the engines, main wing, bla bla bla.I think it would be impossible to realy modify anything without knowing this parameter. Is this data available somewhere in a file, or do I have to contact the designer?

Ok.. my question is this: I'm using install maker to create an autoinstaller. (Yes, yes.. I know, hehe). I'd like the program to check the registry for the location of FS2002 but I don't know what values I have to use in the install maker wizard for that to work. Any help is appreciated.Torsten

Hi,Hoping someone can explain this line in the aircraft.cfg file to me. According the SDK this is the minimum flap setting for the spoilerons to become active. My model has 4 flap settings and I want the spoilerons to function at settings 3 and 4. I've got them to work all the time using 0 after this line but if I enter 3 or 4 after this line they don't work at all. What should I be entering? Thanks,Andrew

I've been trying to modify the ground handling. I've stared to much at SDK's and fourms, I feel like I'm going blind so I'll finally ask. Sorry If i'm overlooking something right in front of my nose. The aircraft when taxied on rough ground will start bouncing on the nose wheel and unless you stop movement you get a prop strike. the type should be able to handle the terrain though. I've been through every part of the contact points in notpad also through CFG Edit I havn't found anything that seams to fix this. So what have I overlooked? Or what have I looked right at and missed?Having funGrey_Wolf

Is it possible to create a gauge in XML that does absolutely nothing when clicked on, except changing the bitmap? I am working on a Cessna 152 panel, and want to include the glove compartment, similar to the gauge on the Dreamfleet C177 Cardinal panel. The reason I ask is that I am a non-programmer when it comes to both XML and C++, and I am having to rely on existing gauges, but I cannot find a decent sized gauge that would allow me to do this.CheersMalcolm

I have set up my taxi and landing lights on my gmax model, and they show up fine in spot view, and illuminate the runway. When in 2D panel view, the lights don't always light up the runway. Every now and then they do, but it is rare.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.Luhiss

Hi GuysI have been trying to contact a designer called Rob Beard, who did a Robinson R22 Helicopter For either FS98/2000, for inclusion as a static in my Scenery designI have this email which been returned to me; [email protected] download was a repaint by[ol][li]Repaint Copyright © Gaylen Cates 2000[li]Paradise Helipad....http://hometown.aol.com/paradisehelipad/home.html[/ol] The site above has moved and none of the above has helped me much at all. The repaint dates back to Sept 2000, so I guess the original must be olderI take the issue of other people's copyright seriously and have up to now not used anybodies work, but it gets frustrating when you can…

Is this possible? If so, what bmp format. I had set up a nice alpha channel for transparency with a 444 format, but when I added reflective tetures to the rest of the bird and checked "reflective map" in makemdl, my windows became reflective and opaque. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.Luhiss

I'm new to this whole a/c design thing ... but willing to learn :-)Right now I'm just looking to make a few mods to the stock 182 panel to more closely mirror what's in my real airplane. Tried FSEdit, but it barfed anytime I tried to open a panel.Looking for recommendations on a decent panel editor .. freeware or payware (as long as it's not too much pay!).Ultimately, I'd also like to design a KLN94 GPS for GA panels (not all GA planes run Garmins ya know!!) ... so I guess I'm looking for any gauge design tools as well. Thanks in advance ..

Hi !There are a couple of (military) aircraft that feature fantastic optical and acustical afterburner effect, but none (?) that really shows an increase in fuel flow and speed gain. Can someone recommend a good flightmodel (the optics dont' count !) of a military fighter that really has a !!working!! afterburner ? ? ? I have downloaded 8 aircraft with afterburner effects so far, but in noone it really seems to work (And i know how to activate them, they work excellently in the Concorde, but it looks a little bit stupid to fly her at 1000 ft AGL....;-)Thanks, J

Hello guys.Alright, back to basics here.I am trying the old technique of using a background image in 3ds. But I run into this problem. After the image is added, you can lock it so it will pan and zoom with that view, be it a top, side, or front view. Or you can unlock it so you can move the view around, or zoom in or out, without actually moving the image (which is the desired thing to do when you first load the image, for positioning). The problem is after I load the image, move the view around to where I want, and lock the background image, it snaps back to the original position it first showed up at.Is there a fix for this? I seem to have seen one before, but can't fi…
