    Hi fellow simmers,I'm getting more and more complaints that above 10.000 ft - when the landing lights are off - misbehavior takes place in the passengers cabin because the cabin lights are also off...Currently the texture showing cabin lights on are linked to the landing lights. I rather would have those linked to the navigation lights... Is this determined by the model or by FS?If it's programmed in the model, I would like to know if this can be changed by a hex-editor like UltraEdit and what string/code do I look for?I'm using the Boeing 737-800 with winglets by Eric CantuThanx heaps in advance,Arjanhttp://starbreeze.knoware.nl/~nick/NCC/htm....php?id=fs-b738

    HiI have aliased the panel.cfg in aircraft.1 to aircraft.2 in order to use the 2d & VC in the aircraft.2The 2d panel shows up fine in aircraft.1, but no vc. The 2d panel and vc are present in aircraft.2I have tried installing the panel folder completely into aircraft.1, but again the vc does not show.I have changed visible=0 to visible=1 in the vc section of the panel.cfg, but no change.I'm wondering if there is something in the air file of aircraft.1 that would make the vc not show. I've downloaded aired, but wanted some advice before I become obsessed!Thanks as alwaysGraeme

    The code below is typical of code used in a particular vendor's gauges. The primary purpose of the code is to toggle the AdfOn variable, but what's the purpose of the afterburner reference, when the plane has no afterburners? Are they using it as some sort of temp?0 (>K:TOGGLE_AFTERBURNER2) (L:AdfOn,bool) ! (>L:AdfOn,bool)Thanks,Dave

    I am trying to figure out the purpose of the percent signs, that are part of the Visable and String functions. I am not sure if it is there to cause the value to be displayed or if it is there to perform a math calculation. The following examples show many different uses of it.%(A:Electrical main bus voltage, volts)%!5.1f!(P:Local Time, seconds) 1.5 % int 1 ==%((A:FUEL TOTAL QUANTITY WEIGHT, pounds) flr s0) %(l0)%!05d!%%((A:Nav2 dme, nmiles) (A:GroundVelocity,knots) / 3600 * s1)%( l1 3600 / int s3)%( l3 3600 *s9 l1 l9 - s2)%(l2 60 / int s4)%(l3 3600 * s9 l4 60 * s8 l1l9 - l8 -s5)%(l3)%!02d!%:%(l4)%!02d!%:%(l5)%!02d!Thanksgreenco

    Hi all, I've made a TV monitor type gauge which is placed on the panel and gives the pilot a forward view that can be manipulated by turning a zoom control knob. All works well in 2D view. However, in the VC view, it just behaves like a hole in the panel, and the zoom feature does not work. Is there a way to get control back in the VC view.Happy holidays,Nick.

    I have a problem with small (0.02m radius) spheres in GMax.The attached picture shows transparent areas in the grey sphere in my model. As a test I added another sphere in pink. This is orientated differently with the transparent area just visible at the bottom. These areas seem to appear at the 'poles' of the sphere. They look ok in GMax and only appear in FS.Large spheres are OKAny ideas???

    Hi!About two months ago, I started working on what then was just a simple repaint and translation of panels for FSQuality's SAAB105. The ambition was to make a Swedish version of it. It is a Swedish military aircraft originally, after all...Now, I have two repaints with two different panels. New flight dynamics adjusted for the weaker engines etc. I also have new effects for the nav lights and just last night I started trying to add a switch for turning on smoke pods for the aerobatic version. I have a XML-switch that works OK by adding a smoke fx to the beacon lights section in aircraft.cfg. However, this is a bit clumsy, since the smoke comes on if I turn on the lights …

    Hi all,I need some help on 2 gauges. I am new to this and am learning as I start new panels. This is the first I used with "time" var. 1. Does anyone know the correct way to make a fuel gauge show correctly in KG? I have it set on LBS with a switch to change it to KG. The problem is it shows the wrong amount in kg.KG %((A:Fuel tank center quantity, liter))%!4d!LBS %((A:Fuel tank center quantity, gallons) (A:Fuel weight per gallon, pounds per gallon) *)%!5d! 2. I have a fuel test gauge that comes on in a loop. I copied the code from another panel to get it to work. What it's supposed to do is come on and show 5 different bitmaps in order for about 2 seconds each and when …

  12. Hey guys. I'm VERY new to messing with panels so please help me with very simple answers if you could.I have added my Reality XP JL2 gauges to a generic twin jet panel for practice (with the help of Abacus Custom Panel Designer).All the gauges are in place and look good.The part the still baffles me is clicking on icons or gauges to open a window. For example, the RXP gauge lets you click on it and open a larger window of the panel.I have Window06 and Window 07 working using the shift keys - and there seems to be click spots on the gauges. But the windows don't open. I'm not quite sure how to assign the open/close command.I also have the RTU icon set in there, but I don't…

    Is anyone interested in launching a project to create this aircraft and/or the panel? I can provide an unlimited amount of photographs, access to the Flight Manual including all technical data, performance figures and electrical schematics. Any other required information can be found. I've wanted to start this project for several months but with my current course load I haven't got the time. I'll offer what assistance I can...assuming anyone is interested.

    Hello everyone!Just wanted to take this opportunity to announce version 2.00 of FSConnect. It has been updated to work with FS2004, FS2002, and CFS2. For those of you who do not know, FSConnect is a DLL module that gets loaded into Flight Simulator's address space, and provides an interface for 3rd party programs to obtain data regarding the user aircraft.Usually new versions have more features, but I am sorry to say version 2.00 has less. :-( I have not been able to figure out how to move the user aircraft in FS2004. Writing lat/lon values to the usual offsets no longer seems to do the trick. My impression is that a function call is now required to accomplish that. …

    I know that it is common concensus to uncheck the "Use MIPS" box when converting 32 bit textures to DXT3. However , I have noticed that some a/c textures seem to have been saved without this box being unchecked -- you can see a difference in file size between a DXT3 texture saved with and without the MIPS box being unchecked.Anyway, could somebody enlighten me what the difference is -- I do notice a difference in quality when the MIP box is unchecked.Thanks Barry

    What is the "preferred" method of building gauges - C or XML?XML gauges are newer than C and, to me, appear easier to create than C based on reading the Building Panels and Gauges SDK. I have programmed in C and C++ so my comment isn't based on the difficulties with C. C just looks more complex.

    I've just installed a complete new download of the really nice A300 Panel for the HNAC A300. For some reason though, there is no mouse points for the Course knob, even though the code is clearly present! All the other mouse points on the same gauge work fine, but not this section: (L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_DEC)(L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_INC) }(L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_DEC) }(L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_INC)(L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_INC) }(L:NAVmodes,enum) 1 == ! if{ (>K:VOR1_OBI_DEC) }Can anyone spot something wrong here?

    I have tried to add a feature to my gauge not to function if autothrottle is not on. As far as I know this is possible in a single switch, and even pretty easy.The feature should be that the case value 0 bitmap is on if autothrottle is not available, and nothing else could be chosen.Now the gauge works fine but all the options are possible even when autothrottle is not connected. What is wrong with this code?80"/> (L:valinta, enum)80"/>80"/>80"/> (>K:AP_PANEL_MACH_OFF, bool) (>K:AP_PANEL_SPEED_OFF, bool) 0 (>L:valinta, enum)0 (>L:Mach-IAS select, bool) 0 (>K:AP_PANEL_SPEED_HOLD) 1 (>L:valinta, enum)1 (>L:Mach-IAS select, bool) 0 (>K:…
