I desperately need help, recently everytime I load FS9, I only have the right foreward view in cockpit view and vc view, and the aircraft is spinning wildly in spot view and none of the keys are working except the alt key. I tried everything including system restore and re-installing fs9 without any success. Can anyone please help?

I can't set the auto-corrdination ON or OFF through my C++ code. I tried using KEY_AUTOCOORD_OFF, KEY_AUTOCOORD_ON, KEY_AUTOCOORD_SET, KEY_AUTOCOORD_TOGGLE, but none works.I tried the same events in XML, which don't work either.I saw several posts about this, some people say the ON and OFF events work, but not for me...Like other people said, it works fine if FSUIPC is installed. Otherwise, no success.Does anyone know how to make this work without FSUIPC?Thanks,Eric

  4. Hello -I'm trying to calculate a desired landing path with the HSI variables (HSI_Horizontal_Needle, HSI_Vertical_Needle) to be used and reacted upon by an invisible gauge. The problem is that the farther out from the runway you are, the less accurate this is. Is there a way to calculate feet from the center of the HSI cone to establish an accurate desired position (altitude)? Thanks for any help.

Hi All,First day with FSX (was released last week up here in Canada)and it is an interesting experience. To my disappointment however, it appears that FSSound.dll, a module used to allow us amateur gauge programmers to make sounds linked to gauges, no longer seems to work! :-(So all those many years of work on such gauges as those you'll find in the HJG DC-8 panels are for not? I sure hope not! I was just about to start to update that package for the new FSX world...I am hoping that some of you guys might all have some ideas how to either get FSSound.dll to work OR some code snippets for a simple hack like me to use to replace it within my gauges (I am serious student …

Can someone tell me how to determine which .gau files are compatible with FSX? I mean, which bytes in the .gau file indicate that it is an FS98 type gauge.George

Hi,I was informed by a user of one of my FS9 freeware gauges, that this gauge isn't working properly in FSX-Beta.From everything he described, my first conclusion is that the OnEvent handling appears to work differently in FSX.In FS9, OnEvent code always worked after a gauge was loaded. In FSX, it appears that OnEvent only works if the gauge is in a window releated to a specific view.Eg: if you define the gauge in a VC-window, the OnEvent code is ONLY executed if you are in VC-view, and NOT in 2D or Spotplane view. Can anyone with the FSX-beta confirm my conclusion ???Or even better: is there a way to get it working as in FS9 ??Thanks, Rob BarendregtPS: My guess is that On…

Now with FSX coming out and GMax is no longer available (see: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index...&siteID=123112)What 3rd party software will be used to create good looking aircraft for FSX?I build using Cinema 4D which is my favorite 3D app. of choice, yes even over 3dsMax. I can save in a variety of formats, including .3dsCan anyone here on the design forum suggest a good workflow using a commercial 3D app. to FSX? I just looked at Abacus and the current version of the FSDS is old now, only being for FS2004 and below. Thanks much!I work in Cinema 4D, Photoshop CS2, and Illustrator CS2.~Dale

Hi all,I received some emails that A-squared virus scanner warns about a Trojan in the setup.exe of my "Air Scheffel B737-800". I believe AVG virus scanner, McAffee and Kaspersky (and maybe more) also warn about a virus.I wrote the setup script using AutoIt3 (www.autoit3.com) and converted the script to an executable. Unfortunately the conversion has a flaw causing those warnings, but I assure you: it's clean.(You can check on the AutoIt3 forums that this is a known problem)If you are not able to install my aircarft because of this, please send me an email (arjanscheffel-at-hotmail.com) and I'll send you a download link of the same package without the setup.exeGreetz, Arj…

How do I change the name that ATC uses for my cargo delivery service. I downloaded a Shorts 300 from BahamaAir, and ATC recognizes BahamaAir and will use that name in all directions and replies. How do I change it to use BlueFish Transport instead? All help appreciated.

Hey guys,Where would one put into the airfiles entry that an aircraft is a low wing configuration?I am setting up an airfile using the Cessna 182 template and need to put in this configuration.I noticed in the config file that there is a 'wing_pos_apex_vert=' entry, but I am not sure if that is the actual location of the wing from CG.Many thanks for any input.Kind regards,Bill

Hello everyone,I also posted this into the general forum without any response, hopefully someone from here can help me out.Does anybody know which entry must be present in an air file (*.air), to have structural de-ice enabled on a piston engine?I tried endless hours to implement structural de-ice onto the Alphasim Caribou without success.Structural de-ice (wing anti-ice ?) works perfect on the Milton Shupe Beech 18 and can be observed with AFSD. For testing i used the B18 airfile on my modded Caribou panel (put an anti-ice switch in here) and it works, but the Caribou can´t be flown with the B18 air file.Any help here would be niceThxRon

Hi, I am in desperate need of the original panel.cfg file for the Boeing 737-400 in FS2002 (Pro). I installed a new panel, and now I prefer the original one, but I forgot to back it up! (I know, that's stupid of me, but hey, I'm stupid like that...).I would greatly appreciate it if someone would post it here.Thank you so much. Also, if you have a better one than that, it would be nice if you would tell me about it.Thanks again,-Josh

Hi, guys! One of these days I watched a video featuring an A340 taxiing and taking off. What draw my attention the most was that that A340 had a gauge which showed the images from two outside cameras. One was shooting from up the tail and the other was shooting the steering wheel from about the "landing gear" point of view.So I wonder if there is a panel with this feature for Flight Simulator. Have anyone seen one around, either payware or freeware? That would be great. It would keep me from treading the grass :)Thanks for any hint.Silvestrehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157828.jpg

I am trying to convert Lat, Long and Alt (LLA) to Earth Center Earth Fixed (ECEF) because of the lack of XYZ coordinate variables available in the SDK. To do this I needed to know what FS used for a reference ellipsoid, and I came across a possible error. The Creating Terrain and Land Classification document states a polar diameter of 12734.62 km (6367.31 radius). This is grossly out of proportion since even Clarke was much closer back in 1866:Clarke 1866 6356.5838 kmGRS80 1980 6356.75231414 kmWGS84 1984 6356.75231424518 kmIt looks like who ever wrote that FS document just took the polar circumference and just divided it by pi.Can anyone confirm or deny this as an error? …
