Helloi experience some strange behaviours with one of my turboprop planes. When starting the engines (ctrl+e) they rev up to their maximum rpm before settling down to more normal figures.Q: Is there a part of the aircraft.cfg or mdl that addresses the engine behaviour at startup? It can't be a problem with joystick settings as this phenomena only appears with this particular model.Until now I assumed that FS9 would handle the prop-spin direction of ME prop configurations automatically as OPPOSED turning !Therefore the tendency of this plane to veer to port (left) when throttling up at takeoff and when applying reverse-thrust keeps me puzzled !Q: Is there a way to define th…

Hey guys,If I have a turboprop, and have the stock MS Cessna 208 Caravan starter switch, what would keep the aircraft from starting? Is there something that needs to be in the config file? Many thanks in advance.Bill

Ok, I'm stuck - I've tried to think of a decent way round this on the modelling side but to no avail......I have two switches, 'set transfer fuel forward', and set 'transfer fuel aft'. When each switch is turned off - 'set transfer fuel off'. This works BUT....If you click the set trans fuel forward switch the aft switch also animates, even though it has a unique part name and vice versa. My question is whether there is any simple way to have only one switch animate at a time.....?As soon as one switch is not off it animates the other switch so that its not off too. The set transfer forward code is (set transfer aft is the same with name adjustments etc:set_transfer_fore …

Hi All,I am on the second part of this project : THE interface with FS9 ...Elevation data is coming from SRTM elevation model, flight path with elevation data from an application and exported to CSV file.A VB6 application interfaced to FS9 via FSUIPC or FDSConnect drives the Autopilot integrating the Aircraft performances, Nice and it works perfect.I have 2 questions :1: Are they any free memory offsets to pass data to produce a graph in the XML gauge ? I guess yes but I don' know which offsets are free.2: Is there a way to load a bmp once the gauge is active ? would be nice and close to the SANDEL ST3400 (which is not a freeware)If there is no way we shall use the GPS te…

Help please!I have found that cylinders created in Gmax look like the attached picture when viewed in FS9. I noticed this effect wile working on a fuel gauge mounted under the top wing of a biplane - you have to zoom in on the cylinder to read the gauge and this effect becomes noticeable and very distracting.I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem: Creating the cylinder using different options, changing the materials or using no material, converting to editable mesh etc - with no success.Anyone been able to solve this, or has anyone else even noticed this effect?

Step-by-step: :-)http://home.comcast.net/~pwaugh/pics/Animation.gifOk, I left out a couple of the steps. In case you may be wondering, to get the shadow, you "select" a circle about where the center of the darkest part of the shadow ring will be, and "stroke" it about the same width as half the shadow. You then use progressive Gausian Blurs to get the falloff you desire. Note that you get a different effect if you deselect the stroked circle before you blur. Try both, and then you will see which you need to do.Creating the cover/case is a little more involved, and as that was not as visually interesting, for time being I left that off.Hope you enjoyed this little gra…

    Hi,Can you expect a much better performance using a lot of s0,s1 etc and l0,l1 etc?Isn't there a risk using them in a big gauge with a lot of functions.When do you get conflicts?EXample(Var1) s0(Var2) s1l1 l0 > ..something(Var1) s0(Var2) s1l1 l0 > ..somethingetc.or(Var1) s0(Var2) s1l1 l0 > ..something(Var1) s2(Var2) s3l2 l3 > ..somethingThanks for comments and advices,Jan"Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."

I was wondering if it is possible to create an XML based ACARS guage for FS2004. Specifically, is there a way to log calculations and other position data and then output that to a website both streaming and in whole at the end of a flight. Thanks!

Dont know if you all take requests or not (especially this close to FSX). But i think it would be awesome if someone made a good edge 540 or Sean Tuckers challenger. Maybe someone already is but if not it would sure be an awesome couple of planes to have ;-)

Please can you help me?.I've a problem with my airbus panel.I'm encounting some problems with my IFDG Airbus aircraft. I istalled the Ken Mitchell panel on my A321-320-330-340, but I have a little problem: during landing procedures I can't look forward wery well (I always use the 2D cockpit visual) and I have to swich to the VC cockpit (wich is not istalled) in order to complete the touchdown. Is there the possibility to modify the "look-forward" visual in order to have it a little bit "down-oriented".I hope to have been clear enough, excuse for my english and thanks again.

Hi all.I am trying my first bit of VC XML programming through MkMDL.parts.xml.Not being a XML programmer puts me at a bit of a disadvantage here! Can anyone help me with some sample code for a lever please?I need to control a lever through a L: var and not a standard variable. I am looking to drag the lever just like a throttle lever and have it read and control a custom L:Thanks.

I've been trying to find the old tutorials on adding gauges but I'm not having any luck. The default Cessna 182 RG only has a VOR 1 OBS. I can successfully add a Cessna 208 HSI to the panel in place of the DG but the VOR 1 OBS is then redundant. I would like the VOR 1 OBS to function as a VOR 2. I've tried moving a 182RG VOR 2 to the panel in the VOR 1 location but when I turn the simulator on, although both the NAV 1 and the NAV 2 radios are set to the same frequency and radial, they don't both center. Is there a tutorial somewhere that can help with this? Or can anyone tell me what to do? Thanks in advance!!!

suppose i am a military aircraft and i go 'quad 0' or 'quad 7' on the transponder, is there some way to stop ATC to asking me to retune to the previous channel? perhaps some kind of command to cancel flight following or the flight plan or what ever else might be in effect, before the ATC issues a verbal Que?
