I have a couple of aircraft where the COM freq only changesin 25 steps. Is there a way to make them change in smallerincrements? Thanks

Hi,After downloading quite a few scenery files, I've discovered that some of them require nova gold textures. Also in (forget his name's) FS2004 Hints and Tricks, there is a strong recommendation for these textures. First of all, what are they and what do they do? Secondally how do you install them and what difference will I see. CheersTristan

Hi all, I really need some assistance with my FS which has run out of control. I have never had a CTD or any issues with FS9.1 until I installed the Aerosoft EDDF scenery yesterday (I have posted there looking for support - I also hope that the great knowledge that exists here might be able to help too) During my first flight while taxiing an error message came up on the screen for a second or two with something about memory allocation error and FS did the dreaded CTD. Every time after I flew out of EDDF I got a CTD at different points, sometimes during pushback, sometimes during taxi sometimes on climbout and another on final. Hi folks. I checked out the DF forums and did a search on this subject but didn't find any answers. Has anyone else noticed that the reverse thrust on this a/c is waaaay to strong? The power goes up to t/o settings if you hold down the F2 button. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my install. Everything else seems to work ok. In fact, I love the airplane otherwise. Thanks for any insights.

Hello. I downloaded some replacemeant freeware clouds off of avsim. :( It did not even cross my mind at the time to back up all my cloud files s. With that said. Dose anyone know where I can get the default clouds or what cd-file they are on? I would like to avoid a reinstall as much as I can. Thanks :)

With all the features this scenery has there's zero impact on framerates. This truly is another great airport that sadly I don't have to time to explain in great detail. All I can say is this is a must have for anyone into international airport scenery... :-beerchug

After planning a flight what frequencies are typically set in the NAV radios while on route to your destination? Obviously on approach the ILS runway frequency (if available) is set into NAV1. But what about all the VORs on route? Is there some sort of protocol used in order to maintain situational awareness?Thanks for any information!Airbus

I know we've been down this road before but - on a different computer - I am having a repeat of an earlier issue; that is, frequent, extended pauses (of ten to fifteen seconds) and then a texture refresh as the sim gets going again. I run FS9.I have searched the FAQ and other threads but don't find anything definitive. Any ideas? All was running well enough before. I have a P4 1.8GHZ, 768MB RAM (200GHZ), GeForce4 Ti 4800 card with 77.77 drivers. Hard disk is about 80% full. Regularly defragment, antivirus, antispyware. I've seached the AVSIM archive but can't find an answer to this, but it has bound to have been answered before.I have a homebuilt B737 cockpit driven by 5 PCs and using IOCards. On the weekend, as a bit of light relief from hardware building, I installed MS Train Simulator. This was on my main Athlon64 3200+ (XP). After testing Train Sim for a day, I went back to FS2002 and I can't get my AI flights to appear. The ATC slider is still at 100%. I re-complied my traffic.bgl and it is in the correct place. I can still talk to the tower and get replies, but the surrounding AI traffic has disappeared and does not call in?Anyone any idea what MSTS has over-written or removed? I …

Hello all.I've been flying the cool new Posky 767 V4 series (-200/300/400) a lot lately and I notice that when I taxi them that there is a very cool shock-absorber effect going on: the plane moves up and down softly as you turn onto a taxiway and while you taxi (simulating gentle bumps). Or the nose dips gently if you tap the brakes.Id like my other heavies to have this feauture....is there a line you can add into the aircraft.cfg or something to make a plane have this feature? It sure gives that "heavy" feel :)Thanks!!

Hi folks,I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the scenery add-ons and could use some advice. I have a copy of Mega Scenery New York (Volume 1) and Mega Scenery Northern, Ca (Volume 2). I have not installed these as of yet. I see lots of other products to enhance the view out the window and would love some advice on what products to buy.Also, is there a set order in which I should install these products? I have been reading about the new RC4 that is being released soon and thinking about getting it for the times when Vatsim is not on, like early in the AM. Then just yesterday, I read about FS2 Crew being made ready for the LevelD 767, which is the only thing I fly anymore. Now I started thinking about all the stuff that is running on my PC and even though I have a 3.4 Pentium with 1 GB Ram, I am starting to wonder if all these items running together will start to impact performance and or frame rates. I've had this acft for a few weeks and still can NOT figgure out just the simple steps to get the engines started. I do get them started after 5 to 15 minutes of keying in every "key set" that I can. The engines finally start, but then I can NOT figgure just what I did to get them started. Could someone PLEASE list the keystrokes used to get the engines started? Hi to all;-)I recall that on the fs 2002 I modified the turbulence figureunder the fs.cfg file from 1.0000, to 0.10000 to set a more realistic turbulence behaviour.I notice also that under fs9.1 the turbulence logic is most of the time utterly exagerated under rough wether conditions, even having modified previoulsy the the fsuipc for smooth changes.Not quite sure about wat is the "official" setting for the turbulence scale under the fs9.cfg file. Thus I suppose the samesetting is applied also on fs9.fair winds

I've been trying to access Heather's web site but can't get past the home page. Loved the download section for finding new add-ons, but only get the 'page not available' message. I know that she wasn't going to maintain it, but I understood that it would be maintained by someone else. Is any one else having this same result?

Good day, I would like to replace the air files of the dash 8's and atr's in my Ultimate Traffic files with those of the HTAI B1900's. Is it as simple as renaming the air file of the B1900 and dropping it into the aircraft folder of the dash 8's and atr's? Thanks for any assistanceJ.C. (MYNN)
