I now have Radar Contact. (I just sent an e-mail..and waiting for a registration #. In the meanwhile.. I am reading the documentation.I need a good flight planner. I don't mind getting a real flight planner since I can use for realworld flight planning as well.currently I use the APOA/DUAT flight planner.. for free. But I am not sure.. I can export those flight plans in a format RCv4 would take.I would prefer a flight planner that would take/accept STARs and DPs Any ideas or suggeston? What do you use and why did you pick the one that you are using?Or is a flightplaner an overkill for sims?Manny

Something that disturbs my flight experience in 2D panels (don't use VCs normally) most is the presence of the centerpost.IMHO apart from being completely useless and misplaced somehow because of the wrong perspective a 2D panel has by default, they're only obstructing the view, many of them hinder me to see the runway properly.I welcome near-photo-realistic 2D panels, but my opinion is that because of the already small screen space left for the outside view, this restricted space shouldn't be obstructed further by generously re-creating the pilot's view with window posts etc.In FS as a PC simulation it's already very difficult to have a proper situational awareness by ju…

Hello Captains!I really love those red-eye transcon flights.. WOW! and when the sun rises! WOW WOW! And so i take a screenshot and store it. Also when i have close encounter with AI traffic, i take a shot. Here is my problem:I can only take one shot, then i have to ALT+TAB to put down flightsim, store my picture and then continue. I only have to do this if i wanna take a more than a one screenshot. Is there anything i can do to take more than one shot without having to do the prescribed process above.. which has given me headache more than once!thanke youe very mucho!Yngve

Hello. Is anyone else having a problem with the Fly Tampa KSEA AFCAD file? It seems that after landing on 34L the AI planes try to take taxiway K but get stuck just after pulling off of the runway. They never move again until they actually disppear. This seems to happen with each version of their product (animated cars, ground vehicles, both of those & none of those). It gets so bad that the aircraft actually get backed up out onto the runway.

Does Track IR have "any" effect on frame rate? I'll be getting my Track IR4 on Christmas morning, and of course, I'm looking forward to using it. It seems though, that many aircraft give up frames moreso in the VC mode as opposed to the 2D panel. Since Track IR uses the VC only, I was just wondering if it would have an additional effect.

Hi all.Looking at the above at airlinesimulations.comAnyone have it, or an earlier version? Looks quite interesting, though I wouldn't accuse their website of appearing overly-professional.The ten-line spiel on one page had numerous spelling and grammatical mistakes, which makes me wonder about the product itself.Keen for any user comments.CheersTim

  13. Hi Everyone:Simple question - If I am on the ground at an airport above sea level (i.e. - Chigaco KMDW at 640 ft), how can a pilot tell when they are at a fixed point above the airport if I reset the altimeter? For examle, if I reset my altileter at Chicago's KMDW airport, it tells me that I am 640 ft above seal level when I am sitting on the runway. But if I want to turn on the Autopilot when I arrive at 1,000 ft AGL for example, how do I know instantly that I am at 1,000 ft? Do I just calculate in my mind that it will be when I reach 1,640 feet & just "remember" this when I get up to that altitude? If I were to turn it on when the altimeter reads 1,000, I would …

OK I'm not very objective because I'm part of Cloud9's beta team :-)But I just want to share with you this fantastic scenery because I really love it.Pisa is located between Nice in France and Roma and is a perfect destination for short flights along the Riviera and towards the beautiful Italian west coast.Alberto and his guys did a fantastic job by finding a smart compromise between scenery complexity and frames impact with new textures and improved technology. So the city is well represented without heavy impact on framesBecause these guys are always looking for innovations, you will love the "human" marshaller that moves like a real one (no cartoon bmp), the gates tha…

All I have read most of the rather large thread on radar contactin this forum, but was suprised to not see a comparison between the two products which puzzled me a little. I own VOXATC although have not had enough free time to get immersed. I used an earlier version of rc but it has been so long it would not be fair to comment. Since both of these products reside in the ATC comm category, is safe to say that one would be comparing apples to apples? I would hope there would be others who would like to see a thread on this subject and are thinking about a new comms program but not sure which way to go.RegardsBob

  17. I have "Active Camera 2004" and "Walk & Follow" and I was considering having them both installed simultaneously. Has this been done successfully by anyone? Just considering what sort of trouble this might bring. There are some features I like that are not available on both.http://www.lemosnet.com/misc/gpilotsig.jpg

They have a new sound set for the LevelD 767 on Avsim.com file download They are fantastic in my opinion. Make a backup of the originals, in case you want to go back, but I don't think you will.

Hello, and Happy Holiday's to all... I just re built my computer... Everything is running well... I installed FS9 and FS Global 2005 plus patch, a few Fly Tampa airports, and ASV 5. I now have a problem with add-on textures for my A/C. My new 737 from Feel There has the texture tiles showing on the A/C. Example wheel well texture is on the engine and some flight deck textures are on the tail, or fuse etc... I've never seen this before... I also get some weird scenery texturing, like water in place it shouldn't be... hope someone has some advice or should I just start over... Oh and I have MY Traffic 06... Thanks for the help....

Hi,when I start FS9, have the screen where I can change the plane and select airport etc., I try to go into Flightplan. As soon as I hit that button, FS9 tells me "cannot open file" and shuts down FS9 and wants to send a error message to Microsoft. What do I have to repair in order to get that working? The same problem comes up when I already at a airport in a plane and want to open or create a flightplan._______________________Regards, Torben HadlerBeta-Tester ACLoader 3 + 4http://www.fsflightdeck.com/acloader.htmlT-A-H MultiMedia Productions Torben Hadler - http://www.t-a-h.com || [email protected]: CPU: AMD TB XP 3200 Barton | MoBo: Epox 8RDA+ NVidia2 400MHz | RA…

Hi everyone,The Round the World Race 2006 is projected for the week starting Sunday, February 19th.Much organization and practice to be accomplished in the next two months. AVSIM needs good experienced and dedicated pilots. Just the sort that frequent these forums!Team AVSIM won the Tornado Trophy for 2003 and 2004. Last year, the team got out-flown and out-organized by FlightSim. Time to turn that around, wouldn't you say? The Team wants to start getting organized so that the Forum membership can show its real talent. If you are at all interested in participating in this year's race, might you please respond to this post?Best,MikePS. We would all like to hear suggestions…
