  1. Found it at last !! 😊Its right at the base/back of the lower panel (where the throttles are), kind of under the armrest. Now I can fly it from c&d in msfs2020.
  2. Carenado support has emailed me to state the external covers etc. in MS2020 are only removable via the tablet interface. Where's the tablet ? Doeas anyone know ?
  3. Unfortunately I already tried that. There are no blue highlights on my MSFS 2020 version.
  4. Having spent a wasted 2hrs trying to find how to remove the covers on the B390 I give up and ask this forum for help. I'm still using MSFS 2020 via Steam (the sim on C : and packages and cache on D : ) i cannot locate the user manuals either. If I start in operational mode at end of runway then all is fine. But when I start cold&dark on the ramp the covers are all on and I can't get the buggers off. Or do I have to upgrade to 2024 ?
  5. These are all the reasons I need to stick with AirHauler2 and 2020
  6. I use AH2 frequently and mainly do ferry flights often to the far east from EGMC, mainly in BlackSquare GA planes (more fun). I have noticed though there are some airports that are missing from the Navigraph/Simbrief database in Central Asia/Northern China. These airports exist in MSFS 2020 (I haven't upgraded to 2024 yet), LittleNavMap, AH2 but not in GTN 750 either. Luckily you can insert new airfield locations into the GTN 750. As an exaple I've just flying from ZWSS to ZBAI neither of which are in Navigraph/GTN 750. Does anyone have an explanation for these anomalies ?
  7. Thanks. Just watched it and I now know I need more patience for the instruments to get aligned.
  8. Starting from C & D the main flight instruments PFD & MFD do not become active ie "PD Fail" and "HDG FAIL". Even after I have started the engines. They do if I use the start in Taxi mode/state though. I have the nav unit below the throttle in "align " mode but it doesn't have any affect, but it does say "battery fail" when everything is on. I note that some have already taken this bird for a fly, but did they start it C & D ? What switch am i missing ?
  9. I'm glad I found this topic. I never upgrade software until approx 1 year after release; ie. nevr buy v1.0.0 of anything. I was just about to start the task of upgrading my MSF 2020 to MSF 2024. Then I read this topic. I think I'll stay with my very well behaved MSFS 2020 for a while longer.
  10. Thanks guys. I'll now spend a few hours extirpating Norton from my PC.
  11. I used to use Bullguard without any issues, then they got taken over by Norton and foolishly I kept my subscription going. The latest update from Norton has played havoc with the peripheral software interacting with MSFS 2020 (I haven't bit the bullet to 2024 yet). The peripherals being TDS GTN750, LittleNavConnect and the Status Indicator Panel from Turtle Beach. I delved into the settings of Norton and told it to "Allow" all these APIs but still it interferes, with not allowing them complete and full access. What other virus/firewall software do other members use ? It's about time I changed from Norton.
  12. Okay so I'm not a newbie, but I am with all things MS2024. Will I be able to just "copy" the add-on folders that I have in my Packages folder, or do they need to be re-installed in MS2024 ? I have the Black Square planes, GTN 750 and a few JustFlight planes too
  13. Thanks for all your help ! I did as advised and copied/moved the Packages folder, and all sub folders, to my D : , modified the usercfg.opt file, and it has all worked a dream. Thanks again 😄
  14. I have a 500Gb NVMe drive (C:) loaded with Steam MSFS 2020, that is almost full and a 1Tb SSD drive (D:) with just the rolling cache. I want to move the Steam MSFS 2020 from C : onto D : so I can use the faster NVMe drive C : for MSFS 2024. Do I need to uninstall/install MSFS 2020 ? Or can I just copy ? The original install took almost 24hrs ! I understand the the Community folder for all my add-ons (and sub folders) can just be copied (even to the new MSFS 2024) is this correct ? Is there anything else I will need to consider ? Thanks
  15. Thanks Bob. That's good information for when I win the lottery and can afford a better card, but for now I have to cut my sail to suit the cloth. Peter
  16. Hi. I've just upgraded my graphics card to a GeForce RTX 3060 12Mb. Using a software tool Speccy it indicates I've only got 4Mb Vram, using the DxDiag tool it indicates 12Mb. MSFS 2020 does get a bit stuttery at high intensity ie the Tornado at low level, and nightime at large airports. I was hoping for better performance than my old card with only 4Mb vram. Can anybody advise which of the two diagnostics will be more accurate Speccy or DxDiag ? I have an Intel i7-12700k CPU and 32Gb ram.
  17. I have a 500Mb NVMe C drive that is almost full with MSFS 2020, and a SSD drive D that is mostly empty. Its main use is to store the scenery cache at the moment. My Steam edition of MSFS 2020 is on my C drive. Can/will MSFS 2024 load straight over the top of 2020 and replace it, integrating all the add on planes, OR, does the install need a clean drive to load and just copy the Community folder across? PS I've just found out that a capital C or D plus a colon : . produces a "smiley", hence the lack of " : " above in the drive descriptions. 😄 😧
  18. Found it. There is a key binding you can use in keyboard settings. I searched for "copilot" then you can select a key from a drop down menu in "Toggle Copilot"
  19. Nope Mace the arrow keys didn't work, and saving it as a custom (Ctrl+Alt+Num) view didn't work either.
  20. I've been trying for a few days now and I cannot see how to bind the change cockpit view in the india foxtrot echo Tornado to a key (or, say, Ctrl+key), from copilot (rear seat) and back again, other than using the drop down menu in game to change camera view. Which is a pain. I haven't done much experimenting with camera views, I've always just used my mouse so I'm definitely a beginner is assigning camera views. Can anybody help
  21. I have lnm running on a networked PC, and recently I have been getting CTD's when starting an approach or towards the end of a long flight. Very frustrating. I no longer engage littlenavconnect, and navigraph simmlink and the last couple of longish flights have been free of ctd's. I suspect (and I have no evidence of this) that a recent update to MSFS has tweaked simmconnect to trip up mapping software that isn't paying dues to Microsoft.
  22. Hi, Panic over, my controller is working again. I went up a few dead ends and bought a few red herrings, but I got there eventually. The real issue was that the new driver I downloaded wouldn't load properly. Eventually I got around to uninstalling the driver assigned to the x-52 in Device Manager (by this time I wasn't sure which one it was anyway), and then miraculously the installation of the new driver worked. Phew.
  23. Hi, I noticed early on Sunday morning Windows 10 put an update on my PC. Now my Saitek X-52 doesn't seem to be recognised by the OS. I've downloaded new drivers & software from the Saitek site but they both fail to load properly because they can't "see" the controllers although it is definitely plugged in. They do flash with the blue lights as the PC starts up, then the lights go out. Help I'm grounded without this. Thanks Peter
  24. I've already come across a few of these as the nav data in FSX has been fixed since it was published. I've asked the same question to Navigraph if I can get archived data (ie. 1504) but as yet I haven't got a response. It is becoming a pain when PFPX plots a route that is incompatible with the GTN 750, however it has improved my understanding of route selection and the intricacies of GTN 750 and PFPX.
  25. Thanks for the response. So can I rationalise all the navigation databases used in the numerous FMS's to 1504 by a one off purchase fron Navigraph, without committing to monthly upgrades being pushed out?
