  1. Though I've dabbled with Linux on older laptops etc., I'm unlikely to go down that route for MSFS. BadT's Linker is a *superb* utility - and I applaud your efforts to recreate something like it for Linux. You never know - you might find other MSFS/Linux users out there. So ... keep us all posted!!!
  2. Just to try balance the equation a bit ... I'm not a pilot (or controller) in RL, but enjoy BATC hugely. Of course there are still issues and frustrations - but I'm pleased to see work continuing on the product. MSFS itself is far from perfect and anything that tries building on that foundation is bound to have problems. The nature of forums is that (usually) you hear more from people reporting issues than from those simply using it and enjoying it. Take comfort!
  3. That's a bit of a "gotcha". I've created screenshots of all my nVidia CP settings so I can easily re-apply them after updating the drivers.
  4. Give the free AutoFPS a whirl. It's a game-changer.
  5. I'm a real fan of BATC - and often fly the same route (NZAA-NZWN) to check/test updates or improvements. I have to admit that my flights with the latest updates have been very patchy. Sometimes, BATC simply "forgets" me - typically just before approach. Nothing else on my system has changed, but BATC behaviour does sometimes seem to be slightly erratic. That said - each flight is in real time, real weather etc. so many parameters will vary from flight to flight. I'm happy to keep plugging away as BATC matures.
  6. This irritates the hell out of me too. I'm wondering how many Asobo developers even know where NZ is ...
  7. I wonder who told you they were more realistic in MSFS 2024. Plenty of YouTube videos out there that show the opposite. I'm not a RL pilot so can't say for sure, but Google says: "These lights are visible from about 5 miles during the day and up to 20 miles at night. The visual glide path of the PAPI typically provides safe obstruction clearance within plus or minus 10 degrees of the extended runway centerline and to 3.4 NM from the runway threshold." I hope a RL pilot could give us a definitive answer. There's this, but it's hard to tell how much difference the mode makes: https://msfsmarket.place/world/flyt-misc-runway-lights/
  8. Wow! That's quite a list! I'm amazed at how much detail GSX crams into their animations.
  9. Awesome indeed! BATC is certainly making progress!
  10. You should only start BATC once you're in the aircraft/cockpit 😉

  12. I'd go for a 5.1 speaker system. MSFS has always been good at spatial sound. With decent speaker separation, you get awesome effects - especially at a busy airport if you have AI traffic enabled.
  13. I can understand you having problems with these, but not Simbrief. It's only a website in essence - nothing installed on your system. You don't even need to have a Navigraoph account (I don't). There are dozens of apps/utilities that have access to Simbrief data, but they're entirely optional.
  14. Hi Amir! I didn't realise who you were until I logged into Discord (still waiting for approval, I think, so I can post). Once that's all set up, I'll take this thread to Discord - unless you want to keep it on here as well, for the benefit of other users. This is just to say that I've been giving the 320 a good workout as I've been digging around with this tiller "issue". I've always been a great supporter/user of the freeware FBW A320 - remarkable piece of work - but I thought I'd give payware a chance - and here I am (!). I've been "flying" with full GSX and BATC integration and must say I'm hugely impressed! For such a complex product, it's behaved itself incredibly well. I'm still learning the ropes, as the Fenix A320 offers much more than the FBW, but I'm enjoying the learning curve greatly. Congratulations to all concerned!
  15. I quite like it as well. Unfortunately, though, it often serves to highlight the shortcomings in the MSFS weather engine: ie. Volcanic ash clouds and unnatural/hard divisions between sky and haze.
  16. Well ... it's a mystery!!! I disabled most of my addons - including all aircraft mods FSUIPC AAOs and Chaseplane. Still nothing, so I then re-bound my rudder axis to the tiller and it worked (!). Full left/right deflection, nosewheel and tiller animations (yay!). So ... I then gradually re-added all the above to weed out the culprit. A long process, as you can imagine ... with many sim restarts. Guess what - after adding the lot, the tiller still worked. *However* - I still had to keep my rudder axis bound to the tiller. The tiller still doesn't move when the tiller button is up or down - regardless of whether the rudders hotspot is clicked. It seems the axis input from the rudders isn't being passed to the tiller unless it's manually duplicated/mapped in MSFS. This is with Logitech Pro rudders.
  17. Many thanks Amir - I'll have another go at it. I only have rudder pedals - and no additional (hardware) tiller. Neither do I have a spare rotary or slider on my Stick/throttle where I could configure a separate axis. I already tried unbinding my MSFS tiller assignment from my rudder, but that didn't work. I have FSUIPC auto-starting but, up until now, haven't needed to set up any controls/assignments. Not sure exactly why I run it, other than just an old habit because I used to use it a fair bit. I'll certainly try what you suggest - doing a clean startup - and see what happens. BTW - I also have Axis and Ohs running but, like FSUIPC, don't appear to need it like I used to in MSFS 2020. That'll have to go too 😉 If all that fails, then I'll document everything and get in touch with support. Apart from this little annoyance, I'm delighted with the Fenix A320 - and wouldn't mind helping to solve the problem - if it's a genuine bug, that is.
  18. Except that none of that works on my system/HOTAS/rudders. Neither nosewheel nor tiller move - regardless of whatever button I use to engage/disengage them. I understand the theory about take off etc. but I'm just about regular taxiing. I also understand how it's *supposed* to work (i RL and in-sim) ... but it simply does not work on my system. Period. Sorry - I forgot to say that I appreciate your input - and I'm trying not to be negative (!).
  19. Update/correction: I have the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - not the X56 (!!). I managed to get it to work by assigning the steering tiller axis via FSUIPC, but I'm wondering why I should *need* to do that ...
  20. I'm having terrible trouble trying to activate nosewheel steering in the current/latest Fenix A320 and my Logitech X56 + rudder pedals. I've tried every combination of rudder+tiller disconnects - with and without mapping the tiller to the rudder axis. The tiller never moves (and there's no corresponding cockpit animation either). No problem with other airliners (FBW A320 etc.). I've Googled it to death (including the latest Fenix help) - and tried all the voodoo. I'm all out of ideas. All suggestions welcome!
  21. Hard to believe there could be anything out there better than Add-on Linker. I'll give it a try - albeit reluctantly 😉
  22. Interesting! Any pattern in the ones not detected? I use Linker and didn't spot any missing ones ... but will check!
  23. This is an absolute gem of a utility. Just a note to all Addon Linker ()or similar) users: make sure you enable/activate the sceneries you want to check before you run the scan. The links back to Fs.To are a great idea for finding any missing profiles.
  24. I did a fair bit of tweaking when AutoFPS first came out. I set my defaults to something sensible back then and haven't changed them since. It really is a "no nonsense" little app: set it - and forget it! I can't imagine running MSFS without it. Many thanks, Reset XPDR - goodness knows how you keep finding things to improve!!
